Decent airport hotel

This hotel is good if you need to stay close to the airport & the staff was very friendly & helpful. The room was nice, but the walls not very soundproof. I heard cars outside all night, people talking in the halls & room next door, and in general had trouble getting to sleep

Good comfort and value

I only stayed one night so that I could be reasonably close to the airport for an early departure at 5:30 am. The staff gave me all the support I needed including wake up call and a breakfast to go. They arranged a taxi for me which arrived promptly. It was one of the few hotels that had a lower rate for a single room compared to that for a double one.

Overall, excellent. Would definately recommend this hotel. Excellent value for the money. Parking was onsite and cheap (10 euros). Breakfast was great and they had a great evening selection of local breads, cheezes, prepared meats, fruits, etc.

The hotel is situated in a part of town about 2 km to the airport (taxi fare cost us E10.95 - which was expensive given the distance involved. Whilst it is possible to walk into the historical part of town - the hotel is situated in a run down area. All that being said the hotel itself was extremely welcoming, clean and the staff were very helpful. We stayed for one night - following 2 weeks in Tuscany and used the hotel as a stop off point before flying home. We would stay at this hotel again in the future but only for the same purpose - i.e. as a stop off point before flying home.

Amenities were great. However, not sure if they had a pool, but we weren't in Italy to swim. Very close (4 blocks from) the Tower of Pisa. 25 to 30 minute walk to central business area. Very quick by bus and the bus system was very easy to understand and use. Room clean, staff was awesme and very helpful and knowledgable. Bed was a bit firm for our liking. We would definately go back.

We traveled to Pisa to get to next leg of our trip. Hotel looked nice on photos not so good in person. Location was a plus though. Nice little restaurant around the corner. Great desserts. Wish the room was a little more comfortable looking. Expected much more for the price we paid. Staff was very nice. If we traveled back to Pisa I would love to stay here again and maybe get a room on the older part of the hotel. Maybe that side is much more attractive. Best part of the hotel is location!!! Literally walking distance from the leaning tower of Pisa.

The hotel was just what we wanted for one night in Pisa before heading to Florence - central and with access to nearby restaurants. The staff were friendly and helpfull.
However, I think the room would have been a bit small for anyone planning on staying for more than two nights as there was very limited hanging or drawer space.

Good location for tours to other cities in the area, e.g. Firenze, Lucca and Cinque Terre. Only 2-3 mins walk to railstation. Very helpful Reception.

This is a hotel that in some ways is not a hotel! The building is beautiful and the restorations works have kept the atmosphere of a monastery untouched. It is very quiet and pleasant in our opinion but rooms and service are basic. The hotel can organise a shuttle bus from/to Pisa airport for a minimal charge. 0409 SR The hotel has been transformed from an ancient 12th century monastery and preserves, after excellent restoration works, most of its original features.
The main building is square shaped and has an internal garden. Corridors go alongside the garden and the building and give access to the rooms. There is also an annex, connected to the main building, where some rooms of the same standards are. The building is on 2 floors only. The hotel is located in a quiet street near the commercial area of Pisa, a few hundred metres from the trade fair centre. The city centre is only 1 km away and the major attractions, such as the leaning tower, are a bit further away. Easy access to motorway and airport.

E' il recupero di un vecchio convento del 1200, forse ancor prima. Ben tenuto, anche se le camere hanno mantenuto l'impianto delle celle monastiche. Mangiando nel chiostro, si ha un'impressione di pace, serenità, molto suggestivo. I cellulalri funzionano solo in certi punti.

Our visit to Pisa was a very pleasant experience, and this has much to do with the welcoming and smiling atmosphere in the Santa Croce In Fossabanda Hotel.
Everyone in the staff are kind and smiling and they'll do almost everything to improve your visit.
The Hotel is situated within a 15 minutes walk from the the city-center, the rooms are quiet, and the Hotel itself is an architectural pearl - with old frescoes and well-restored building details both inside and in the courtyard.
We will most certainly come again.

Excellent design and service

The hotel has a nice view of the Pisa tower and it is only a short 2 minute drive from the infamous location. The room had great modern design and the rainfall shower heads were awesome. We had a nice sized patio overlooking the pool. The pool was so sparkling shining when we first arrived and my son was eager to jump in. However due to our schedule we were not able to personally enjoy it but it sure was tempting. The front desk stuff was friendly and the house cleaning lady would say Ciao as we passby. The two drawbacks were: 1. the wooden floor and heavy furniture combination made any movement of the chairs and so on from the floor above making quite alot of noise. 2. when we got to the breakfast around 10, most of the food were empty.

The hotel was gorgeous and done in a meticulous contemporary design. The hotle staff were very helpful and loved to talk with guests. We felt as if the 100 plus rooms were mostly empty at the time of our visit as we only say about 5 other groups of people during the entire time we were staying at the hotel.
Our room was amazing with one of the most technologically advanced television and electrical systems I have ever seen as well as a spectacular view of the Tower of Pisa and the mountainscape behind it.
When you enter the room you slide you room card key in a slot that then powers up the lighting in the room which when removed would automatically turn off the lights. When you power on the TV it welcomes you by name and even allows you to utilize the internet from it by using a mouse like direction button to navigate the screen.
The bed was very comfortable and the linens were very soft and inviting.
We wanted to use the gym, spa, and turkish bath that was advertised, but unfortunately the area was closed. The secondary option wasa nearby Kinetic Center that we could visit but it too was closed as we were there on a Sunday. Needless to say we were not able to go to a spa as we were hoping to while there.
Other than this the hotel was amazing! If there was more to do in Pisa we would have been more than happy to spend more nights at this top notch hotel.

Nice hotel across from train station

The NH is a nice hotel - large for Pisa, and right across from the train station. That makes it very convenient for travelling but it is about a 20-25 minute walk to the Leaning Tower. That wasn't a problem for us. The front desk did however, charge us for the rooms which I had prepaid for with Orbitz. I do't know why that happened, but Orbitz eventually refunded us.

It´s a nice hotel in a convenient location

Outstanding in some things -they provided an intern to translate for a guest friend and accompany him to the hospital because he didn´t speak Italian. Other smaller inconveniences such as the air conditioning not working in the room, were not so important after they arranged for something that really mattered and was not something they really had to do. I didn´t give a perfect rating to the staff because some of the waiters had an attitude.

A beautiful small hotel. Located in the centre of the city, yet on a very quiet street. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Very clean, the breakfast was simple but tasty. The bathroom was great.
The only small inconvenience we had was when we were checking out. The reception works only from 2-9pm and you are supposed to check out at 11am. So we had to go to a neighboring hotel to drop off the keys and store our luggage for a few hours.

Biggest hotel in town in an excellent location. 0409 SR The hotel is modern in design, dated back to 1950's and resembling much of the architecture of Pisa. The hotel is in a perfect location, just 100 metres from the leaning tower and Piazza dei Miracoli, and public transport to the main train station and shopping area is a short distance away.

This hotel is in a wonderful location close to the main tourist attraction - the Leaning Tower. We also walked around the central area of Pisa easily taking in the sights. The people on reception were friendly and helpful and a suitable breakfast was included in the tariff. I would be very happy to return there.

The building has been completely renovated but wisely it has left untouched the charm of a traditional Italian building. An excellent hotel for its category within walking distance to the lively ‘Corso Italia’ in the heart of Pisa. 06/06 A.DP. Modern 5-storey building the original building dates back to the 1960's. The hotel is located 200 metres from the railway station and within walking distance from the commercial city centre. The airport is 1.5 kilometres away, the 'Leaning Tower of Pisa' is 4 kilometres away and easily accessible by public transport.

This is a great hotel for the location - two blocks from the station - but the area (like most areas around stations) is pretty dirty. The room was fine, pretty typical for Italy.

There is also an indoor garage at the basement floor of the hotel. The hotel is located near the Congress Centre, 800 metres from Pisa city centre. The Leaning Tower is further away as it is located on the border of the city. There is regular public transport to the city centre from outside the hotel.

Great staff, they know different languages well enough, floors made from nice wood, so there is no carpet - perfect with people with allergies. Beds are good, bathroom also, very nice AC connectors, which fit US plugs, conveniently located.
Can come before check in, they will keep your luggage for free. Center is in 20-25 minutes of relaxing walk.
Wireless Internet in room and breakfast are free. Breakfast in continental style.

The hotel was outstanding in every respect.Our room was spotless and offered all the amenities expected in a 4 star hotel. The hotel is Almost new, clean and with a very professional staff. The breakfast was exceptional and a transfer service to the airport(close by) is available except on Sunday. There is also inside secure parking available. On our next trip to Pisa we will again stay at the hotel.

Superb hotel! excellent service, ultra modern design and facility! a great place for stopping over at Pisa on your way to Florence and Tuscany region. We flew to Pisa very late evening from Germany and stopped here for one night. They have a very cool outdoor bar with large beds! Yes, beds to lay down and unwind yourself! The room is very modern and clean. After staying in those "traditional" European hotels, this hotel will bring you back to 21st century.

The hotel have improved maintenance, changed TV sets, added SKY, now should be a time for ....A small fitness center and free internet, it will be a great step forward.
