2010年２月にツインを女性２名で１泊利用。清潔で感じの良いホテルです。部屋のインテリア、アメニティ、朝食のホットメニューなどお値段以上の価値があります。駅から近いので便利ですが、治安がどうかしらと初めは心配しました。フィレンツェは治安が良いので心配ありませんでした。レセプションの方がとても親切で、女性や外国語に不安な方に最適なホテルです。

The apartments are all rebuilted up one year ago so they're clean, beautiful and cozy. Bed and sofa bed are new and comfortable. Kitchens are fully equipped and modern. Just came back from an amazing stay in Florence the staff was really helpful. The apartment is in 5 min. walk from Ponte Vecchio and Uffizzi, it is comfortable, specious, clean and has all the amenities needed for a perfect stay.

The location was terrific. It was very close to the train station, just as described. It was very close to the market which made it fun. The room had old world charm while being very comfortable. The staff was helpful with directions, maps, and changing money. The breakfast was excellent. My only complaint is that I thought internet access was available free, however, in order to use their guest computer in the lobby, I would have had to purchase a computer card for 6 euros. (On principle alone, I did not.) Other than that, it was a great hotel and I loved Florence!

Our stay at Hotel Sempione was great. The hotel staff went out of their way to help us find our way around Florence, even making museum reservations for us. The hotel's location was a plus, being within a five minute walk to the train station, our primary means of transportation while in Italy. The breakfast buffet (included in the price) provided a good choice of cereals, yogurt, pastries, juice and coffee, etc.
While in Italy, we stayed in hotels in Rome and Venice, neither of which compared favorably to the Hotel Sempione for friendliness and willingness of staff to assist with travel arrangements.
Overall our experience at Hotel Sempione was very favorable, one of the highlights of our Itay trip.

This is my 2nd trip to Italy and 4th time to Europe. The hotel was great! We got off a train and walked to the hotel within about 10 minutes. The staff was extremely hospitable and welcoming. They offer wireless internet as well. The rooms were very good sized for Europe and the bathrooms quite nice as well! The gentleman at the desk called a taxi for me at 4:30a.m. They also answered many of our touristy questions. The location was perfect! about 2 minutes from the Mercato Centrale (If you love great food, this is important!) and lots of shopping. It's about a 10 minute walk to the Duomo. I would stay here again in a heartbeat and it was a great price!!!!

This was a quality small hotel. Two brothers shared time at the front desk and were very helpful to the American traveler. Our room was clean and comfortable. We were a very short and lovely walk to the main attractions of Florence. It exceeded out expectations.

The De Rose Palace Hotel was lovely to stay in, approx a 15 min walk to the city centre along the river. We chose to walk from the railway station when we should perhaps have taken a taxi - the streets aren't clearly marked and what should have taken us about 10 minutes took almost an hour and half as we turned slightly before we should have and misunderstood directions from the soldiers at the american embassy (it's only 30 seconds from here!) The room was clean although the bathroom, whilst being a decent size, had very fine mould over all the walls which also gave a slight musty smell. Breakfast was good, typical european, cold meats, cheese, cereal, yoghurt, croissants - americano coffee was NOT nice! should have stuck to the cappucino!

Hotel beautiful, bed firm & comfortable, clean. The bathroom bit small for staying a week but nice. The room was quite nice, bit small but to be expected in Europe. Bar & restaurant expensive but lots of great choices within an easy walk. Easy walk to train/bus station for day excursions. Staff very pleasant and helpful. Easy walk to the museums & shopping.

Overall, I should say that I had a good stay at this place.
First of all, it is located about 3-5 minutes from Florence's train station. This was very convenient to me as I traveled between cities by train. So, arriving from Venice or leaving for Pisa the following day and Rome the day after (quite early in the morning) was not at all issue. I could easily walk from the station despite having 2 travel bags with wheels. However, such close proximity to the station and its location on a fairly busy street could be an issue at night sometimes, as you may hear a lot of noise from the street compromising on your sleep. It does get quieter later at night and remains so until early morning.
The most important reason as to why I gave lesser points on amenities and room comfort is because the sound-proofing in the facility is poor. I could literally hear every word that was spoken in my neighbor's room (not that I intended it) and as they were awake after I had gone to bed, it was too much of a hindrance for me, as I could not go to sleep for quite some time. The second drawback is that there was a constant malodor prevailing in the bathroom despite the bathroom being clean. I am not sure if it was because of a common ventilator duct traversing the floors above and below. The shower area is quite small. I am an average person and for someone who is big, this could definitely be an issue. If you drop your soap, you could find it very difficult to pick it up from the floor. However, these were not major issues to me on the whole.
My bed was comfortable. The room was clean. Mine had a balcony attached to it with a table and few chairs. I could sit on the balcony late in the evening and relax. This would be great if you traveled as a couple.
There is a restaurant/pizzeria right across the street (Trattoria, I believe) with very affordable prices and does not charge for COVER (this is a common concept when you dine in Italy, more so in Venice). This could be convenient when you return in the evening tired from sight-seeing. Or you could order food for take-out and have it with your partner on the balcony!
Staff was very friendly and helpful. They were always happy to provide useful suggestions and directions. My room was tidied every day and it could not have been kept better.
The complimentary breakfast that they provide is extremely good. This came in handy as I was mostly seeing places. After a good breakfast, I could postpone my meal until early in the evening concentrating more on sight-seeing and worrying little about where or when I would eat next. If I needed, I could grab a quick bite and go on.
For the price you pay for this hotel, I think this is definitely worth it. If I ever get back to Florence, I won't mind staying here again.

Located in the heart of the city. Friendly staff and old fashioned yet clean and comfortable rooms. Wifi connection in room has a minimal surcharge and parking in a garage only available after 3pm and has a fees. Overall, I think it is great for the price. Fantastic location. Close to tour buses and walkable distance to major attactions.

THE HOTEL WAS A VERY CLEAN AND A FRIENDLY PLACE TO STAY. THE ROOM WAS LARGE ENOUGH FOR TWO PEOPLE BUT IT WAS VERY NOISY. YOU COULD HEAR EVERYTHING GOING ON NEXT DOOR. THE LOCATION WAS NOT THE BEST BUT WE DID LIKE THE PIZZA NEXT TO THE HOTEL. PEOPLE HUNG OUT IN THE PARK ALL NIGHT LONG.

Florence is a small, beautiful city and small enough to walk to the various attractions. Everything is within a 10 to 20 minutes walk.
Our hotel was about a 10 minute walk from the train station. It's a small and cozy hotel. The room was small but clean, though it could use a fresh coat of paint. The staff was very helpful and made reservations for us to see the Accademia and Uffizi museums which usually have very long lines. One thing to note is the bathroom tub did not have a shower curtain, but the floor was tiled to let the water drain out. That's the way they have it there I believe. The breakfast was very good and there was a great restaurant around the corner that had absolutely delicious Italian food. I would highly recommend it. It's called Il Messere on Via Guelfa. We are vegetarians and they made us very happy indeed, so I can imagine how the rest of the food would be as well.
Don't miss an evening walk by the river near the Ponte Vecchio. It is gorgeous! And do take a trip to Pisa from there. It is an hour's train ride from Florence and the leaning tower is worth the trip.

Our experience at Hotel Il Relais Cestello was outstanding. The hotel only has about 10 room but was located near our son's apartment (he is studying in Florence), so that influenced our choice initially. The neighborhood is a quiet, more residential area that is not touristy but very friendly. [...] and his staff are wonderful and very helpful. You are within easy walking distance of the train station, all the museums, and right on the Arno. The free breakfast is simple, our room was large and very clean, and other than one night when there was an outdoor concert on the river, very quiet. The hotel does not have a restaurant (there is one of the first floor that we did not try). However, our son took us to several neighborhood restaurants that were outstanding and very friendly to us as tourists: Gusta Pizza, Dante's, and Mama Gina's. Every evening ends with the ringing of the bells of the Cestello Church next door. I suggest stepping out front and listen along the river - quite romantic. We would most definitely stay here again and highly recommend it for anyone wanting not only value, but more of a feel of the real Florence. You could stay downtown or to the north for more money but you won't find a better host or a more relaxed location.

Our hotel was close to the train station...but not very convenient to the city or many choices in places to eat dinner. Luckily the front desk staff was very friendly and helpful in providing us bus information and tickets to be able to travel within the city. Without them we would have wandered around frustrated and hungry. Room was clean and good sized...we also seemed to luck out and get a room with a balcony...as we did not see any other balconies I do not think this is the norm. But a nice surprise for us!

I went with my friend for the night and ended up staying an extra night. The staff was great, friendly and very helpful. I plan on going back. Great location, across the street from the train station and a few minute walk to the Duomo and other great attractions.

kan upplevas att det är lite trafikerat utanför kanske, det är det enda negativa om man ska vara petig.
ingen frukost serveras men i samma byggnad ligger det resturanger så det var inget problem. Snäll, svenskpratande personal!

The location was great. 5-10 min walk from the train station and very close to a lot of the attractions. The bathroom was the only negative experience for me. There were body hair from the previous guests in the tub and on some of the towels. yuck.

Comfortable, friendly atmosphere. Rooms were nice size, services were prompt and well done. The front desk assisted us with reservations to museums and restaurants and were very gracious. The location is good, but requires some walking to the main attractions. Very close to train station. Hotel restaurant was very good. We would definitely stay there again.

Leider sehr hellhörig. Wer glaubt das das nicht stört muß nur das Pech haben das über ihm jemand wohnt der früh um 5 hektisch aufsteht um seinen Flieger nicht zu verpassen. Schade für ein ansonsten fast perfektes Hotel was sich im Bereich der Innenausstattung optisch sehr angenehm von den plüschigen Palazzos abhebt. Nette Dachterrasse, gutes Frühstück (wer auch guten Kaffee will sollte ihn direkt beim Kellner bestellen, kostet nichts zusätzlich), gut 10 Minuten zu Fuß bis in die Innenstadt und 10 Minuten zum Bahnhof. WLAN für 24 Stunden 9 Euro, alkoholfreie Minibar im Preis enthalten. Taxi vom/zum Airport mit Gepäck für max. 25 Euro in 15-20 Minuten.

Staff at reception was extremely friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, the room I was given was definitely not 4* level. Equipments including the bathroom showed their age (20+ yrs) and street noise was a nuisance due to lack of modern glazing on the window.

Had a fantastic room for family of four. 2 full baths very large room more like a separate apartment by itself very quiet and elegant. Perfect location close to everything. our best part of our vacation was the room. This is the only room in the hotel as described so choose wisely .

In tune with the perfection of the city

Extremely friendly and helpful staff. My room was small, but I was a single person and so it made sense--still it was comfortable, furnished charmingly, and with a great bathroom. The breakfasts are abundant. The walk to the main area for attractions is about 15 minutes, but I really liked being a bit away from all the bustle and walking along the river to the main area or strolling through the charming streets, with great shopping along the way. A wonderful haven in a spectacular city and I highly recommend it.

Good hotel, but a bit out of the way

Hotel was very clean and very comfortable, but is a bit out of the way from the town center (1-2 miles) where all of the action takes place. It is nice and quiet, but not extremely close to dining/nightlife options. Very close to tram station is a plus when arriving via train. If the distance from town center doesn't bother you, I'd highly recommend the hotel.
Free wi-fi in lobby is nice, but was painfully slow.
Florence is an amazing city and this hotel did not disappoint me.

Internet didn't work and nobody could help me with it and you had to hand in the key into front office staff everytime you left the hotel other I think they should change to electronic keys. Other than that nice big room, staff all very friendly.

It doesn't look like much from the outside, but once inside it is a grand old hotel. Its a little past its prime but clean and comfortable. Staff is friendly and helpful. The included breakfast buffet is excellent. The location is great. Walking distance to the river, consulate, train station and car rentals. I would stay there again if in Florence. There is a very nice local restaurant across the street.

We were very glad we chose this hotel. The desk staff was very courteous and helpful. Our room was clean, comfortable and nicely decorated and was very spacious for a European room. The bathroom was also roomy and modern with big,soft towels. My only complaint about the room is that the mattress was very hard but this seems to be the norm in Italy. I guess they just like extra firm mattresses. The complimentary breakfast was very good with plenty of food choices including fresh fruit, yogurt, cereal, cheeses and other "heartier" items. They also have a nice lobby area with comfy chairs and sofas for reading and relaxing. The Adriatico is located within walking distance of the train station. Close enough that you can walk it even when pulling a suitcase. It is centrally located to many of the "must see" sights in Florence with lots of restaurants and bars close by. It was a little noisy the first night since it was the night the street cleaners came through. Although the air conditioning was not running yet the weather in early May is still cool and we were very comfortable, we even needed a blanket at night. I highly recommend this hotel and if we ever get a chance to go to Florence again we'll stay at the Adriatico.

The hotel is a five minute walk from the Florence train station. The room was beautiful with a small balcony and a full breakfast was included. It is only walking distance from the Duomo and Ufizzi Gallery. The hotel also provides free internet access and wi-fi for your electronic devices. Very helpful staff with excellent hotel recommendations. My husband and I truly enjoyed our stay and will stay there again.

Hotel was in great location near the train station and downtown museums and attractions. Clean rooms and helpful staff. Most importantly, we accidentally left an iPod Touch behind in the room and the hotel staff not only found it, but arranged to have it sent back to us in the USA. Couldn't ask for more.

Nice room and friendly staff that takes the extra steps to ensure you have an enjoyable stay. Good location near train station once you get your bearings. Great breakfast. Downside: wasn't obvious how to exit in an emergency. We could not locate any stairs (just an elevator) to our floor in the new building.
