The hotel was very charming though not as large as a it appeared from the web information. This was a bonus. The staff was courteous and helpful, but perhaps a little cold. Room was well appointed and included a flat screen TV and an "American" sized bathroom. The included breakfast had everything and was very good. Within walking distance of everything if you're prepared to walk 10-25min.

I enjoyed this hotel first for its location. It is next to the river a great view as you exit the hotel. The staff was friendly. They were reserved and professional. The buffet breakfast was excellent. The hotel is not new so walls or roofs may seem antiques but makes it part of the experience. I think I got my money's worth.

My wife and I stayed at the Arizona on pleasure/business trip. Would recommend it strongly to friends. Located NW of bulk of Florence attractions. If you're in reasonably good health, it's walking distance to all top attractions, very near museum with David replica, and block away from little-known gem: Santa Maria Maddalena de Pazzi. Owner/host and his staff were very helpful. The room was standard fare, very neat. (On another post, I saw complaint about the bathroom size. This person clearly isn't too aware of Italian accommodations. It was fine.) In sum, the room and accommodations were great. The breakfast was tasty.
You take airport shuttle to train station, and from train station, get bus ticket and then take the 6 or 23 bus to the park at Piazza d'Azeglio; a block south of the SW corner of park.

The hotel is located within walking distance of the major sites, but a little more of a walk than some other hotels. The staff was pleasant. The room was simple. The elevator was very small, but even with the elevator is was necessary to take a couple of steps. This would not be the place for someone that has is not up to walking on rough roads and climbing a few steps.

Grand Hotel Mediterraneo was definitely good value for the money. Only two drawbacks: the hotel was a 20-minute walk from the center of town in the blazing sun when the temp averaged 97 degrees, and many of the hotel staff were not friendly -- generally polite but without warmth.

Many repeat clients enjoy not only the ambience of the hotel but also its prime location from where you can reach the best corners of the Dante's town.

Hotel J & J was peaceful and beautiful. The staff was very friendly yet never imposing. The continental breakfast was delicious and had a good, delicious selection. The cafe was Amazing! The hotel is small but very beautiful, you would forget you were in the middle of a hugh city. Yet the location was great! Its is on a quiet street just around the corner from really good restaurants and boutiques. I recommend Baldovino restaurant just a few blocks away!

No es un hotel de 4 estrellas, ni de 3, ni de 2.....es casi una pensión. Muy mal, parecia que estaba en en hoteles de Torremolinos años 60. Lo único que valia la pena era la televisión, que era de LCD. El kit de baño se limitaba a dos sobrecitos de champú. Uno de los peores hotele que he estado en mi vida.
Bad, bad, bad... the worse 4 stars hotel in my life.

近代的というよりはいい意味で古いホテルでした。部屋はきれいに掃除してありましたが、使っていなさそうな引き出しの中は埃がいっぱいありました。
6人用のスイートに泊まりましたが値段は安いのにとても広い！家族で行きましたが子供も部屋中走り回り大はしゃぎでした。部屋からの眺めもよかったです(4階の部屋でした)。朝食は部屋までパン、飲み物、ハム、チーズを毎回運んでくれるので、市場で買った(すぐ近所にサンタンブロージョ市場があります)野菜や果物を添えて、毎回豪華にいただきました。フルキッチン完備なので(鍋、フライパン、皿等も完備、あえて言うなら割り箸を持って行ったら便利)、料理もしやすかったです。
サービスの点でいえば、フロントが9:00(確か。もしかして8：00)～19：00までしか空いていないので、レイトチェックインの際は必ず事前に言った方がいいと思います。チェックアウトはメイルボックスに鍵を入れておけばＯＫでした。いわゆるホテルというよりはコンドミニアムに近い、というか、滞在中は掃除もベッドメイキングもタオルの交換もありませんでした（言えばやってくれるかも）。なのでホテル並みの完璧なサービスを望む方には向いてないかもしれません。
またホテルの看板が小さい！あれは気づかないですね・・・。目印としてはチョンピ市場ですかね。その目の前がホテルです。右側にカフェがあって、昼過ぎからは結構人で賑わいます。入り口からまっすぐ入った左側にフロント（というかオフィス？）があります。
エリアはドウォーモまで歩いて15分くらいでしたか・・・。繁華街や買い物好きの方には向いていませんが、近所に市場はあるしバス停もあったのでさほど不便さは感じませんでした。
とにかく安いしオススメです！！

Nous avons passé un très bon séjour dans cet hotel mais trois inconvénients sont à noter:
-l'hotel est tres difficile à trouver en voiture car perdu au milieu de la vieille ville
-la reception a des horaires d'ouverture non indiqué pour la journée du dimanche. Nous sommes arrivés vers 12h30à l'hotel. La reception etant fermée, nous avons apelé le portable indiqué sur le paneau de la reception. Réponse: ouverture dans une heure. Dans les faits, ils sont arrivés plus de deux heures plus tard! D'autres clients ont vécu la meme mésaventure...
-l'appartement que nous avons eu ne disposait pas de fenetre (mis à part une ouverture caché par un rideau sur une cours minuscule). De plus, l'accès ne se faisait qu'après un escalier. Pas pratique avec un bébé!!!

It has a nice location, but needs update

It was a little further from the central, so walking was hard with two kids in hot weather. But it has a nice Arno river view outside, so we could have a break from very crowded city.
The residence has a big space, but the shower booth was extremely tiny, I can guess lots of people will have trouble to fit into it.
It was clean, but the bedsheets and bed definitely need update. Especially beds in the living area didn't have support and my back was aching and blue bedsheets were very old.
If they change new beds and bedsheets, it will provide much comfort to travelers.

Very nice Hotel. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Rooms were quite compact but had wi-fi, LCD tv with sky channels and safe, everything you would need to make your stay comfortable was available. The rooms were also very clean. Would recommend this hotel and would stay in it again. It was around a ten or fifteen minute walk in to the centre of Florence. The only warning i would give you is be prepared to pay 8 Euros for a bottle of beer if you fancy a drink in the hotel.

Very nice hotel with friendly staf. Beatiful view of the river Arno and the opposite bank. The terrace rooftop must be really agreable in the summer.
The hotel is some twenty minutes walking to the centre, at the end of the day you wish it was closer...
The breakfast served at the hotel is very good.

This hotel is on the river within 10 minute walk of the uffizi & all attractions. It's a husband & wife ([...]) owned & run small hotel who make you feel very welcome. For the exceptionally low price you cannot go wrong.

located across from santa croce church. great location for our second time in florence. wanted to stay in this area and you could not beat the price of $200 for four nites. breakfast was all you could want. very friendly staff. if you want a very clean room and updated bathroom, this place was a fit for us.

0807ADO This is a modern high-rise block, with a concrete and glass facade. The hotel is located only a few minutes' walk away from the famous Square and Church of Santa Croce. It is a short distance from the historical centre and the River Arno.

We were in Florence to visit our daughter studying abroad.First time in Europe and our experience was wonderful. Walking distance to historic district was 10-15 minutes. Taxi ride to hotel cost on average 10-12 Euros. Would recomend hotel for couples however little to do for children.

This is a nice 2 star hotel, with a great location to explore Florence by walk or by using the excellent public transports linking different parts of the city. D.O 01.2010 The hotel is located in a 19th century building, on the second floor without lift. The hotel is located in a quite area in the center of Florence. The historical centre and the main tourist attractions are apprx. 10 minutes walk away.
