Wonderful breakfast buffet spread.
Charming room.
Assisi is so beautiful, and clean. I hope to go back. I could sit all day in the piazza in front of St. Clare basilica looking at the view.

Only problem we had was actually finding the hotel. If you are not familiar with the area it is very tricky even with a map. As with most towns in Europe parking is a big problem. When we finally found the hotel we were told that the actual parking lot is a distance away. I think one of the men at the Reception desk saw we were not sure where to go so he offered to park the car for us!!! I tried to give him a tip and he refused saying that he was happy to help us. You don't find that too often. The location of the hotel is excellent for visiting the churches of St. Francis which is a bit of a walk but not too bad and the views are breathtaking and also Saint Clare's church is just out the front door and to the left a short distance. Be sure to hit the big one at the foot of the bill Santa Maria degli angeli. We ate dinner at the hotel since most places were closed for the season and it was delightful. Breakfast which came with the room had a variety of breads, juices, fruits, cereal - nice selection. I would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Assisi. I also took quite a few pictures of the inside of the lobby and staircases. Very nicely decorated.

The facade blends touches of modernity and of the typical style of the area using large bricks. The hotel has a garage and a large parking area. Situated on the Subasio Hill, the hotel is located in a quiet location less than a km away from Assisi's Basilica and main attractions. Large parking area and garden surrounding the property.

This small hotel is one of the best for the value that we have come across. The view of the valley below from your room window is absolutely breathtaking. The restaurant in the hotel has very good food, good service, and the view of the valley and hills is absolutely perfect. We missed breakfast one morning, which is included in your rate, and the lady at the front desk went herself and made a tray for us so we wouldn't miss out on breakfast. She really went out of the way to help her guest. The location is really great within the walled city and is a easy 5 minute taxi ride from the train station in Assisi. This is a good value and I am so glad we found this perfect hotel to make our vacation so special.

Highly recommended hotel for location and quality. Hotel Subasio is member of the Association Historical Venues of Italy. At Subasio Princess Giovanna di Savoia, the former Italian Royal family, got married. From Subasio windows D'Annunzio and Duse declaimed verses. 0908 SR Imposing historical stone building, right in the city centre of Assisi. One side of the building faces the city centre, the opposite side faces Assisi valley. Situated in the very centre of Assisi, 50 meters from San Francesco Basilica.

特に指定はしていなかったが、とても眺めの良い部屋だった。
TVとソファのある4畳半くらいの部屋と、８畳くらいのベッドルーム、４畳半くらいの浴室があり、床までの窓を開け放っての入浴は”男のロマンだぜ～（女だけど）”って感じでした。
翌朝のタクシーの予約も快く引き受けてくれ、フロントの方の対応も満足でした。
難点は３つ。
スリッパが無いことと、朝食が、団体用と、個人客用とでメニューがいささか違うこと。 あと、部屋の鍵がメチャメチャ開けにくいこと。
次にまた泊まりたいかと聞かれれば、YESです。
何せ立地が素晴らしい！！

ロケーションが最高です。バルコニーなしの部屋にしましたが、ウンブリアを見渡す窓からの景色は素敵ですし、自由に使えるホテルテラスでくつろぐこともできました。ホテルレストラン（テラス）で食事しましたが、団体ツアーご用達みたいで、味もＮＧでした。眺めを求めるなら良いでしょう。受付もレストランも女性スタッフはとても感じが良いのに男性スタッフは横柄です。

Hôtel avec des prestations extraordinaires. Situé à 3km du centre d'Assise et à 1 km de la basilique Santa Maria dei Angeli.
Accueil extrêmement chaleureux par les propriétaires. Propreté parfaite.
Calme total. si vous hésitez c'est cet hôtel qu'il faut réserver.
Nous y reviendrons certainement avec grand plaisir.

The facilities are more close to a 3 stars than a 4 stars. The service as well. Just indicated for retired people visiting Assisi.

The hotel staff can assist you to organise trekking, biking and horse riding itineraries. The hotel is a bit isolated, so car is the only way to reach the property. 08/08 S.R. Ancient 10th century stone building surrounded by a 220 hectares estate. Tennis court and swimming pool are at clients disposal. This property is located 12 km from Assisi city centre, at the foothills of Subasio mountain, right behind Assisi. Le Silve is a natural resort surrounded by uncontaminated nature and wildlife.

Il Ripa Relais Colle Del Sole è una struttura alberghiera di alto livello. Raramente ho visto qualcosa di così ben curato. La passione delle persone che vi lavorano contribuiscono a dare a questo posto un'anima. Tutte le camere sono accoglienti, c'è ovunque sensazione di pulizia, il posto è accogliente e silenzioso e la colazione è molto bene fornita. C'è cura in ogni dettaglio. Consigliato andarci in estate, quando la piscina all'aperto è in funzione. Il ristorante offre sempre prodotti di stagione e cucinati da chef preparati. Il sommelier del ristorante è molto bravo e il proprietario della struttura è sempre lieto nello scambiare due parole con i suoi clienti. La posizione è un po' dislocata dai centri cittadini, per cui bisogna acquisire un po' di confidenza con le strade locali per orientarsi con facilità. Il prezzo è buono, e i servizi offerti sono vari. Assolutamente consigliato per chi vuole vedere Perugia e Assisi con relax, comfort e gusto.

We stayed at this hotel in Oct 2010. It is styled like a farmhouse, but with modern and functional facilities. It is located not too far from Assisi/Perugia but it could be a little difficult without a GPS or good instructions from the hotel. Although it is located not far off the main highway, it gives the feeling that you are miles from anywhere.
The rooms are tastefully decorated in a country style and are clean and large. Our room had a separate sitting area to the bedroom, so space was never a problem. The handheld shower did not hook onto the wall so showering was a little difficult at times. The bathroom itself is clean and large.
The restaurant is top quality and serves up locally grown ingredients. Eating at the restaurant is definitely one of the highlights of staying here.
Some staff at the hotel speak English better than others, however there is always an English speaker available when required.
