A very nice hotel, excellent gym, expensive wifi connection.

The trip was very enjoyable. The room was incredible for the low price. I did not want to leave the room.

Great location for a first class hotel. One of only a few that open directly to the beach. Wonderful views from the room, either towards Jaffa or over the marina.

We had a wonderful experience at this hotel! We were in town for our daughter's wedding and used this hotel as our base for all the pre and post wedding activities. The breakfast every morning was just incredible, very typical of Israel (I could eat this way every day!): fresh salads, breads and fruit. The bed was very comfortable (a king, which was not mentioned in the literature for the hotel, we thought we would have to settle for two twins or a queen) and the room and the bathroom were spotless. The bathroom was a bit small, definately not for two! And there was no way we could have fit a crib or a roll-a-way bed in the room.

Great View, Great Breakfast, responsive service. Many positives including location, cleanliness. Best part of TA. Negatives: No free parking, could not leave my change of clothes in the locker in the fitness club for no apparent reason.

Central location easy walk to good resteraunts; cafe and shopping areas. The staff were charming, helpful and welcoming with the exception of the Poolside staff who did not measure up to the service in the rest of the hotel. Our room was spacious and well serviced but slightly worn with pictures coming out of the frame and peeling paint in the bathroom. We found the nightime traffic and music unnoticeable with the air-conditioning on. Given this we would stay there again.

Great service and location

The Mercure is modern and very clean. I arrived early, before check-in time. I went out to get lunch, and the staff called me when my room was ready (they even moved my bags up before I got back). The hotel is walking distance from the beach, but not on the beach. The staff was extremely friendly.

I was in Israel a year before and had terrible service in many hotels. The 5 star hotels were the worst service, but it was bad everywhere. The minute I walked into the Mercure it was a different world, friendly, kind service oriented personell, well decorated, great food, above and beyond service. It made me rethink everything I thought about my previous trip and made it one of the most pleasat holidays of my life. I own a hotel where service is excellent, so I appreciate it more than most people!

nice and clean -I was not aware that the price did not include breakfast.

We picked the hotel because we stayed there before and for its pool. The pool was broken 3 of our 7 days and we were offered no compensation or offsetting benefit and were harassed about returning the pool towels. The first room we were assiugned was old with stained and torn carpets, frayed linens and peeling paint. After complaining we got a musty but renovated room which was adequate thoiugh the key cards didn't stay magnetized and had to be redone daily. The staff was downright hostile refusing requests for help, ice, and extra towels. The concierge was useless. He didn't know about well known hot spots and restaurants and when we asked for driving directions, we were told that nobody in tel aviv knows anything about driving in jerusalem. The Crown Plaza is a 100% example of what NOT to be as a hotel.

We had an unplanned one night stay in Tel Aviv and Vital was a good selection. Price was right and room was clean and provided comfort. Lounge with comp wine and snacks was nice and they were a big help getting us to airport for early departure.

This was a good choice, convenient and comfortable.

Great place to stay over night or for a long stay. Room was a suite with living room/sitting area, a small kitchen, big closets and everything one would need for a long term stay. It was a nice place, recently updated. Located across the street from the beach and around the corner from the best Thai restaurant in Tel Aviv.

A good location, the room I had was large and spacious, but a little worn. I will certainly consider using inthe future. The lifts broke down whilst i was there.

As with all Intercontinental Hotels, this one is very luxurious. We had a great room high up with an excellent view up the beach. It is within walking distance of Old Jaffa and the Mantaray beachside restaurant. Check-in was a bit of a hassle because the reservation had been screwed up (not by the hotel), but after that it was very pleasant.

I stopping over in at the David InterContinental after staying in Jerusalem for over two weeks before leaving back to the US. This hotel rocks and is much cleaner...I would highly reccomend this place.

Excellent business meeting room / lounge with internet access. Help could be a little more engaging in business room. Hotel room internet service has a variable fee though. Very neat rooms but could use a clock / alarm / radio. Convenient to tradeshow and mall. Tour pickup was also convenient. Breakfast comes with room but staff was behind on servicing breakfast on day 1. Other days things were well taken care of. Staff was mostly very willing and helpful at desk.

One quick evening at the Leonardo Boutique- Friendly, helpful staff, beautiful room with plush Calif. King bed. The furnishings are neuvo and really cool. it's great for the business traveler taking a taxi or mini-bus; but they have no parking for a car so we had to move our car by 6:30 am. We thought it was convenient to Ben Gurion airport but it was NOT. It's very close to the business district and the convention center.

This is an adequate hotel--i.e. clean with a competent staff and an excellent location near the beaches and in walking distance to restaurants, museums, historical sites etc. But there are few amenities--no telephone in room; thin towels; inadequate soaps; and a minimal breakfast. Does have internet, and, again, the location is perfect.

Needed an inexpensive hotel at the last minute and this was about the cheapest that met our criteria. The double room we had was clean but basic. The only surprise was that the toilet and bathtub were separated from the rest of the room by only a curtain. The room had a small frig, TV and we got free wi-fi in the room. The included breakfast exceeded my expectations with a good variety of options. It is conveniently located just two blocks from the sea with free parking and a grocery and restaurant just around the corner.

We read the reviews about the wonderful breakfast they serve and the reviews were correct - a wonderful breakfast. For us it was an overnight stay on our way back to the USA after being in Israel for a month. We had a lot of luggage and they had no one to help us get it to the room. They also have no clock in the room. On the other hand the hotel was nice and the room clean, the staff was very helpful and friendly. I'd use the hotel again if I were back there. Just one other thing [...]gave us the wrong address, it is located at 250 Hayarkon, not at 115 Hayarkon.

We made Tel Aviv our base of operations for a week-long stay to visit friends and family in the vicinity. The hotel was clean and quite what one expects for a tourist hotel in Tel Aviv. We enjoyed wonderful Israeli breakfasts (although not the extravaganza you'll find in the "big" hotels), quite comfortable beds and good room size, a lovely, deep bath tub, and a wonderful view of the sea and of the northern suburbs. Internet via Wi-Fi is available, but only for a fee that I felt was excessive.Be aware that parking in Tel Aviv is a major consideration and difficult (essentially impossible in the evenings) to find on the streets. The hotel has no parking facility, but there are several small parking lots within 2-3 blocks. Despite the business in the nearby (and recently developed) Port of Tel Aviv area, there was always a spot to be found in one of the lots. In the beginning of April 2011 (our visit) the parking cost NIS 15 from 7PM to 7AM, and if you leave the car there later than 7 the next morning you'll give the attendant another 15. WHEN YOU ARRIVE: Beware that [...]listed the hotel's address as 115 Hayarkon, which is actually another, much larger 5-star hotel located about a kilometer south along Hayarkon. The correct address for the Grand Beach Hotel is 250 Hayarkon. It is located across the street from Gan Ha'atzmaut (The Independence Garden) which has been drastically improved and re-landscaped in recent years. Be sure to visit and enjoy the overlook from north Tel Aviv all the way down the coastline to Yafo (Jaffa). There is a lovely walkway that now runs from the port all the way along the beach to Yafo. And if you enjoy seeing dogs indulged with a beach of their own, there's one located about midway between Gordon Street and Nordau, where the hotel is located.If you rent a car be aware that you may only park where the curb is striped blue and white; park in a red and white striped area and you're as likely to be towed as ticketed, and tickets are expensive. If you don't read Hebrew, have someone show you the various no parking signs. Some give the hours when you are allowed to park, but there is often additional text saying that you much pay (only NIS 6 per hour) during those periods. Where and how to pay? you ask. Either purchase cards that you hang in the car's curb side window after scratching off the data and time that you parked, or use the kiosk vending machines that you'll find in some (but not most) busy streets. This is all largely academic, as there is RARELY a space to be found. But Tel Aviv is a wonderful city to walk, and the buses go everywhere.Our last most recent visit to Tel Aviv was eight years ago, and we found it now to be even more clean and well tended than before. There are wonderful windows, balconies with tables and airy, bright rooms in this 16 unit apartment building. There are an abundance of cafes, shops and little markets in easy walking distance. The main area of the gorgeous beaches is a block's walk away. The full kitchen is equipped with full size fridge, oven and dishwasher. HOWEVER, this is an apartment rental -- NOT a full service hotel with daily service, etc. Any questions or need for assistance is an easy phone call away for english speaking help.

Dont go with high expectations and you wont be disappointed, especially if you havent booked a sea view room. Whilst the location is perfect and the price reflects the simpleness of the hotel, its worth pointing out that we regretted not spending extra on a sea view as the other view is a car park and main road underground with no daylight. The staff were pleasant enough although found them less then accommodating in certain aspects.

L'hotel est correct, sans être luxeux. Toutefois, il se trouve qu'il faut monter un étage à pied avant de pouvoir y entrer..., ce qui a été très dur dans mon cas (problème cardiaque). Il manque également d'un restaurant (au moins pour le petit dejeuner). Je sugère l'installation de quelques crochets sur la porte interne de la salle de bain pour suspendre des vertements, ainsi que le déplacement du coffre à une hauteur accessible (il se trouve actuellement pratiquement à la hauteur du sol, ce qui fait que je n'ai pu l'utiliser (Chambre # 5. Je n'ai pas réussi à faire marcher mon ordinateur dans ma chambre.

l'hôtel est bien situé, il y a aussi un parking ce qui est vraiment bien a tel aviv! le personnel est trés agréable et disponible: il nous ont bien renseigné pour nos visites par exemple la chambre que nous avions était petite mais confortable et bien entretenue. si je dois retourner à tel aviv se sera dans cet hôtel les yeux fermés

professional and friendly staff, room being rather on the small side was reasonably clean, windows looking on the street side bit noisy but not extreme.
