Located on the outskirts of Sligo Town and overlooked by the majestic Benbulben Mountain is the Clarion Hotel Sligo. This is the largest hotel of its kind in the North West of Ireland.
Dating back to 1848 and designed by William Dean Butler, the Clarion is a landmark building boasting a striking granite exterior, which has been sensitively restored and remodelled as a beautiful contemporary 4 star hotel.

Very Clean. Slight smell of fresh paint in my room although it was obvious that it had recently been decorated so can't complain too much. Very nice hotel, all in all. Would stay again.

A well located hotel for those visiting the North West of Ireland. There are complimentary use of hotel leisure facilities for all staying guests including a gym and sauna. (05/09rt) Pleasant gardens and seated verandah provide a welcoming approach to the front entrance which is a modern glass fronted area with a contemporary chrome water feature. The hotel is located on the outskirts of Sligo town, approximately 5 minutes drive from the city centre, in its own landscaped grounds.

Pretty good deal for the money. The room was clean and of a decent size. If I was in the area I would definitely stay here again. The bar and food were nice and convenient.

This hotel has been around a long time and I believe has a regular clientele; they seem to cater for conferences, weddings and particularly families who stay at the hotel for the regular shows and entertainment they put on. There is a good size gym and swimming pool to keep the kids happy. The location is just outside the town centre and there is plenty of free parking on site which is ideal for those wishing to drive around the area and see the sights. There is a large service station and super market right across the road which is handy for re-fueling and picking up general items. The wi-fi in the rooms works really well and the staff are very friendly and helpful. The food in the restaurant is fine and I was very pleased with my evening meal, but the breakfast is a little too basic with your standard continental buffet options and hot irish breakfast is also avaiable.
My room was big and comfortable enough, but could be a little cleaner !

Very nice hotel which you would expect from a Radisson. The hotel has A/C which is uncommon in most hotels in Ireland although we could not get ours to work properly. Other than that, it was a great hotel and I would recommend it. Note that it is on the outskirts of town and not in the town center (just and FYI).

Could be so much better. I would compare this with a 3 star American hotel- mostly clean and comfortable. Safe area. No frills. Pros: free parking, great breakfast buffet.
