The Big

The Hotel is in the perfect location for walking to all sights in the city centre. Close to Temple bar, Grafton street and Trinity College is across the street. The hotel is decorated nicely kind of a moroccan theme. Our room was small, but the bed was comfy and the bathroom was modern with good water pressure. We ate once at the hotel restaurant for brunch and it was mediocre and kind of pricey. Overall a wonderful stay. Would stay here again.

The location is only five minutes walk to the city center and all the main attraction less than ten minutes walk to Liffey River if you want to go for a run. Very convinent.

The hotel is a great place. Very nice, clean, decent sized room. Good amenities. I wish that there had been free wi-fi. They charged for the service, and had trouble billing it to my room. The reservation didn't come over quickly. They took a credit card imprint for incidentals, but didn't put it on file somehow. Then, when I needed to charge the wi-fi to the room, the staff was very unhelpful. They didn't have the credit card that I gave them, then they gave me bad information about the computer in the lobby.
A great location, great room, just not very helpful staff.

old classy hotel
-
alexa the queen
- Jun 7, 2012
The hotel has an old classy charm in its appearance, and the staffs were very polite, classy, and pleasant.
One thing I found very annoying was the faucets in the bathroom, which consist of two separate outlets for cold water and hot water, and they were far apart, so it was not possible to adjust the water temperature. (unless you mix hot water and cold water in the basin) Because the hot water was too. hot, and I didn't want to use water trapped in the basin, I ended up using only the cold water which was darn too cold.
Other than the separate faucet piping problem, the rest was good. I liked the bed & bedding, and the breakfast buffet was pretty good. The options for room service is very limited, but the food tasted very good.
