The staff was welcoming and helpful throughout the trip. We were given a large room on the 4th floor looking out to the back to minimize any street noise. The housekeeping was immaculate. This hotel is close to Grafton St, Temple Bar area, Stephen's Green, Trinity College, and the tourist office. This hotel was a deal!

The Brooks was my home away from home the week of December 26, 2011 - January 1, 2012. I enjoyed my stay there, and for the most part had a great experience. Ordering room service was sometimes a bit of a challenge, since they didn't always pick up when you called. Had to try several times to get something in. After being out all day exploring, I didn't want to try and figure out where to eat. The food was good, but ordering was a pain. Also, on one occasion, I asked for half the amount of a side (wedges) and they gave me twice as much. They didn't charge me extra, but gave me way more than I asked. I booked a taxi the day before my last day there (as requested in their hotel book) as well as a wake up call two hours before the taxi was to arrive. The wake up call did not happen. I set my own alarm just in case, and I'm glad I did. According to the staff, it's automated, so not sure what happened. Overall, I was very happy with everything at the Brooks. Had no issue's with wifi while there, and also used their network center to check e-mail.

A very nice hotel. Reception staff were a little cool towards us on arrival and departure. The rest of the hotel personnel in the bar and around the hotel were very helpful and friendly. They went out of their way sometimes to help. Room was very comfortable and clean. We did have some food in the bar and one breakfast and all were very tasty. The food was also very well presented.

Stayed 1 night on business - great value, booked during a recent Hilton Sale. Hotel is not that central, but is in an interesting part of Dublin - plenty of bars and restaurants nearby. The nearby Ranelagh road had a very different feel to the Dublin I had seen before - more of a village. I would recommend visiting for this reason. Very comfortable and clean room, excellent breakfast selection. The gym was basic. Having to pay an extortionate price for wifi was a definite negative point.

This is our second stay at the Fitzwilliam. Our first stay involved a larger room so we may have been slightly disappointed this time but it is still a great value. The beds are very comfortable, the room is well-appointed, shower and bath are fantastic, toiletries marvelous, and the staff is really welcoming and professional. The location is safe and convenient, really one of the best locations in all of Dublin if not the best - right off St. Stephens green and the end of Grafton St. The decor is very tasteful, modern, and welcoming. While we did not dine or use the spa or gym, the concierge was very helpful in finding places to dine and making reservations.

The musty smell that greeted us

The musty smell that greeted us as we walked through the front door sent alarm bells ringing. The lady at the front desk was helpfull and friendly but that was where the good experience ended. (except for the location - which was good) The room needed fresh paint, the carpets needed cleaning, the bathroom needs major overhaul - . leaking taps, mould in the shower, sharp metal brackets need removal, needs an exhaust fans. The room needs an air conditioner OR Fan OR a heater - it has none of the above. The curtains were filthy. The TV remote controls did not work. There is a nite club two doors away that played music till 4am on the two nights we were there.

This hotel is atmospheric and has lovely rooms. There was good wifi access in mine, as well as a computer to use in the lounge. The staff could not have been friendlier. There are numerous restaurants and pubs nearby--such as the historic Bleeding Horse down the street. I took one star off only because of the noisiness of Harcourt Street when the bars close during the wee hours. (It's nothing the hotel can control.) My room looked over it but was on the third floor. With the ceiling fan going, I could hardly hear the drunken louts fighting and puking when the clubs across the way let out. They did wake me up on occasion, though. (Ireland lost a close match to Russia in a European Cup qualifier on Friday, and the Heineken Cup rugby final was the next night. It might have been a particularly "laddish" weekend. Then again, it was noisy on Sunday night, too....)

The hotel is situated in a marvelous location- facing the National Concert Hall- it is staffed by extremely hospitable and friendly people who simply can not do enough for you. The rooms are everything you would expect in a 5 star hotel and the food ofcourse is excellent. You are left feeling that you could never really stay anywhere else in Dublin.

This hotel was in a good location for exploring Dublin. The rooms were large and comfortable. The hotel restaurant was a bit pricey. The lobby was very comfortable and a great place to sit for free WiFi access. The hotel caters to mostly business travelers but we felt comfortable there as tourists. We got a good deal with a "Stay 3 Nights for the Price of 2" Made it more affordable.
