Erittäin hyvällä keskeisellä paikalla ihan kaupunkin sydämmessä josta oli helppo liikkua, metroasema ihan vieressä ja Tovavakin vain muutmien minuuttien kävelymatkan päässä.

Internet crashed on room TV and was never operable.
Housekeeping was very slow.
No face washers were supplied and had to ask daily for some toweling.
Irons were leaking water (replaced 3 times but they still leeked).
Had to ask for coffee satchells in the room most days.
Electric power plug and computor wall connector falling off wall.
One lift was out of order most days.

This is an excellent hotel and the service was great except for one exception. To get ice, you had to call room service. One night it took 1 1/2 hours to get the ice. By that time, my guests had departed. I called several times but nothing seemed to work.
The Business Center staff was exceptionally helpful. They let me use the services for short email checks and helped me when I couldn't figure things out.
The concierge staff was terrific, helping me with tours, church information, airport transportation, etc.
The breakfast buffet was very expensive with no alternative. I ended up going to the grocery store and eating in my room.

"Good value and location"

While this is not the kind of hotel that offers services such as a
restaurant or fitness room, it does provide a clean, large room in
a location that allows visitors to walk to almost all of the "must
see" Pest and Buda sites. Staff are VERY helpful in meeting any
requests.

Kuten otsikko sanoo, hyvä löytö! Viehättävä, erilainen kokemus. Pieni hotelli tehty vanhaan kerrostaloon. Kauniit korkeat huoneet, hyvä aamiaistarjoilu (huonepalveluna, hotellissa ei ravintolaa), loistava henkilökunta! Todella avuliasta, täsmällistä ja ystävällistä palvelua.
Ainoa haittapuoli oli liikenteen äänet huoneeseen, jotka ei kyllä 1. yön jälkeen juurikaan enää häirinneet.
Kävelykadulle (keskustaan) vain muutaman minuutin kävelymatka.
Poreamme oli oikein kiva tapa lopettaa kävelyntäyteiset päivät.

This hotel is your basic hotel, perhaps closer to a 2-star in amenities but the location was in the heart of the city. You could walk to everything. Everything else in that area is super expensive so we considered this a pretty good deal. It was clean and the staff friendly. I'd stay there again.

This hotel is ina good area near the Elizabeth bridge. The entrance is through an apartment doorwaz that is not kept locked. The reception is off to the left on entrz, no visibility of staff from entrance. The rooms are through a securitz door to the right. This may be an issue for single travellers as it is quite isolated and dim. The breakfast is served in the "dungeon" restaurant, all vaultd ceilings and medieval frescoes. It is a good breakfast. Only drawback to this hotel is the entrance and location of reception.

Budapest Museum Central is great value for money. A small family owned hotel, where the staff is extremely helpful and rooms are really clean & nice looking. It was a new experience for us to get a breakfast coupong and have breakfast at a cafe nearby, but it turned out as a positive surprise as well. The only thing that we missed was a refrigerator in the room. We definately recommend this hotel and will use it ourselves when we go to Budapest for the next time.

epätavallinen hotelliratkaisu, asuimme hotellin sivurakennuksessa muutaman sadan metrin päässä päähotellilta. Sinne taksikyyti vaikka matka ei ollut pitkä. Respa ystävällinen. Älä anna sivurakennuksen ulkokuoren säikyttää, rappioromanttisen julkisivun ja sisäpihan takaa löytyy tilava ja siisti huone, sijainti mainio. Aamulla oven taakse tuotu kylmä aamiainen ok, täydennystä voi hankkia läheisestä kauppahallista ja sitä voi laittaa omassa keittiönurkassa. Kiva!

We had a great time at the hotel. The breakfast was abundant, the staff very helpful, some surprice sangria at the entrance. The only thing I disliked was the smell entering the room - but at old buildings there is nothing to do about it... We would definitively stay again!

Newly built, beautiful, elegant and unique apartments on unbeatable price at the pedestrian zone in the very center of Budapest beside the main sights in the historical downtown at Deak Ferenc ter (3 metro lines). It is also ideal for tourists and businessmen, it is a much more better choice than a little hotel room. The hotel offer spacious apartments with fully equipped kitchen and big balcony. Beside St. Stephen Basilica, Andrassy Boulevard, Synagogue, Opera, Vaci and Fashion street, all of the other main sights are easily accessible. It is the best place to start exploring the city. Every apartment has free WI-FI access, 32-42" flat screen (LCD or plasma) TV and a DVD-player. Although it is downtown the apartments are silent, because the building is located in a reduced traffic street and the windows look onto a garden or inner courtyard. Offer only light and upper-level apartments. Secured parking is available on the basement level. Many restaurants, cafes and bars are within a short walk. The area is also safe at night. You will enjoy your stay at book now!

The hotel is located on a quiet side street just a few minutes walk from the bustling pedestrian shopping street Vci utca and the Danube Promenade. Thanks to its central location the hotel is within easy reach of the majority of the citys most popular attractions (the Parliament, National Museum, Central Market and Buda Castle), can be accessed without any difficulty by walk or with the excellent public transport links. Ferenciek tere (Ferenciek Square) underground station (metro line 3) and bus stop is just 3 minutes walk from the hotel. Due to the hotels location the rooms are calm, they offer a perfect place for recreation. It really is a perfect base for both business and leisure stays in Budapest.

The hotel is nothing fancy, but very pleasant and situated right in the heart of historic Budapest. The staff was helpful with city maps, arrangements, and even helping me track down some luggage I left at the airport. The WiFi was adequate, the shower was hot, the room was clean. All in all, it was a very satisfying experience for the price range, and I would recommend City Pilvax Hotel to anyone traveling to Budapest.

Even that I stayed alone I highly reccommand this hotel to families and couples as well. Perfect location in the heart of the city on the Danube, close to many great restaurants, shops, the Parlament and many other famous buildings. Loved the fact that business center, fitness center available 24/7.

Right on the river boardwalk and steps from the no. 2 tram; a block from the major tourist walk street in town; good river view, not great, though I think virtually all rooms have some river view it would have been best to have a view "up" the Danube rather than "downstream" and thereby would have been able to enjoy a night view of the chain Bridge. INcluded breakfast was superb. Have a big breakfast if you buy the included breakfast (which I'd recommend), but otherwise eat dinner out for sure; great food just blocks away with many choices.

Mercure Budapest City Center review

We were at the Mercure from October 24th to the 30th. One friend was at a different hotel by mistake and the staff did all they could to locate our friend. The location of the hotel couldn't be better being in the center of the city, by all the restaurants, shopping and public transportation. The coffee at the hotel was bad and the breakfast was 8 euro minimum so we ate breakfast outside the hotel. Also, guests need to be warned that calls from the hotel room are an additional 6 euro each.

Located right at the river near the Chain Bridge, the Intercontinenal was easy to find and close to the main shopping and within walking distance of several sights. Spa is available but we did not use it nor the restaurant.

Great deal in the middle of Budapest

After searching around online, this hotel was about the best deal in the middle of Budapest. Other places in the middle of the city were either more expensive or were cheap dives. The Intercontinental is right on the Danube, and half the rooms have spectacular river views, although it cost us 25 euros to upgrade to a river view room. The hotel located right in the heart of the city and is a few minutes walk from the major public transport hubs (bus and subway). It was also convenient for us as we were catching a river cruise, and we watched our cruise ship dock on the other side of the river from the hotel from our room, leaving no doubts about where we need to be to embark. The hotel also has taxis coming to the front door all the time. I heard they have a great breakfast buffet as well but we didn't try it.

Opted for larger Gresham room without Danube view and were very happy. Nice gym, friendly staff, good location. Suggest 24 hour travel pass on trams, Metro, bus to get around easily which is purhased at Metro station (close). Suggest upping room price to include breakfast as buffet is extensive and can take place of two meals. Business center is 24/7 with free high speed internet.

Meals were good, location of hotel was lovely and central and the staff were fantastic; polite and helpful . The rooms are compact but the design had addressed this very well. The walls were quite thin, so there was sound bleed through from the other rooms, but other than that the hotel was a perfect long weekend getaway and highly recommended.

Excellent Budapest hotel

The staff were great, and the rooms were recently redone and very clean. We were disappointed that the hotel was not on the Pest side (beware of the taxi drivers on the Pest side, as it cost us 40 euro for a 5 minute cab ride from Pest to Buda to get back to the hotel), but other than that it's in a very nice area near the Jewish Quarter in Budapest on the Buda side of the bridge.

En priorité munissez vous des codes et explications pour trouver car rien n'est indiqué dans le rue , aucune visibilité de l’hôtel depuis la rue.
Préférez une chambre coté patio car rue un peu bruyante.
Accueil très sympathique pour un hôtel dans un cadre un peu atypique.

this small hotel is in a great location, and the price was on a discount so this review is based on the value for the money. 3 out of 4 staff were very friendly and helpful. breakfast had a fair amount of selection including at least one hot item of eggs or similar. many rooms face an inner courtyard. my room faced the street but was still quiet. very clean, room in good condition. well lit with plenty of lights. beds are rather stiff for those who expect fluffy pillow top type beds. very much recommend for those who are more interested in spending money on food and shopping and not where you rest for the night.

We stayed a week, sightseeing and enjoying Budapest. The hotel is in a great location and the staff is very friendly and accommodating. This hotel would be our first choice on a return visit and we are so satisfied that we would use one of their other hotels when traveling in other countries.

Seul bémol, les chambres surchauffées et la literie pas terrible, mais globalement de bonnes prestations et un personnel aimable et compétent.
