Fantastic time with friends
Excellent, this was our second time here and would love to go back. we love the ammenaties, location, and especially the staff. the food is great, drinks are good. If I had any concern at all it would be that the pool closest to the Napa resturant is not heated and so not many people would go there. where the adult pool/quiet pool is very comfortable.

Okay stay!
The guest services was wonderful. They made adjustment to meet my need and was very polite about it, making room changes. The resort was in a perfect location for family friendliness. Would have been nice to be able to swim in the ocean, but the three heated pools was awesome. It' has a beautiful ground and easy to get to all the activities and amenities. Close to San Jose Del Cabos town center with all the art studios and shopping, walking distant. Had variety of menus to offer in the buffet and a la cart. Wish there were more seafood dishes, especially shrimps. Our meals were served lukewarm, especially the soup. You would expect the a la cart restaurant to serve hot food, but not here. Drinks were various for the asking. Overall, it was an okay stay. You get what you pay for. Maybe, next time, they'll have the few glitches worked out.

Very relaxing vacation
This is our 3rd year at this hotel and we again enjoyed our stay. Met a lot of great people, occupancy low during our stay so we had lots of elbow room. Hotel name changed this year, some of our observations include: Food seems better, also liquor, new LCD TV's in each room, seems staff has been cut :(. We are glad that the former employees were retained, customer service was great. Will come again. This place is a great value for the dollar spent!

The shops in San Jose Del Cabo are the best, no need to go to Cabo San Lucas. It's walking distance or just a 2 minute ride. Get your souvenirs and everything you need in San Jose Del Cabo.

the bad and the really ugly
We have problems since the beggining, we got early to the hotel (14:00) so we need to wait for one room available. One concierge offered us a discount in one excursions (such as the tour of the Arch, sunset cruise, etc.) if we´d sign up for a presentation club for the next. Originally the presentation lasted an hour and a half, but we lost more than five hours. The guy who greeted us was a Venezuelan, very nice and attentive, their sales strategy is well designed and it is very difficult not to accept, but at the end when you see the fine print of the contract you realize that there are more disadvantages that advanges, so we don´t buy and we receive the coupon discount, but I asked the staff to do the booking of the tour in the afternoon of the last day of stay perhaps the hotel staff did it in the morning and they didn´t notice us and we lost the tour, so the five hours that we spent on the "club presentation" were in the trash. The hotel's website announced five restaurants, but only two were working, the variety of dishes is very limited and there was only buffet. Something that was disappointing is that you can not swim at the beach, the water currents are very strong, you need to go to another beaches like Chileno and Santa Maria (they are beatiful and excellent for snorkeling). Another problem was the room, when we arrived at the room we discovered a leak on the bathroom ceiling, so we had to wait another two hours to be changed to another room.A good detail of the hotel is that for this inconvenience we received a room upgrade. Overall the staff was very friendly but there is not enough staff, the hotel needs remodeling and looks old. Los Cabos is a great and hope to come back again but I will stay in other hotel of course.

Average not ugly
The hotel is located in San Jose del Cabos which is about 20-30 minutes from Cabo San Lucas. The hotel is approx 30 yrs old and is in need of some basic upgrades, such as better mattresses, a/c, and things of that nature. The hotel is very spacious, and overall very nice in general appearance and maintenance. Also, the 'in season' for Los Cabos is basically October-April, the hotel and most of the hotels are half filled in the summer months. Because of this, the hotel which boasts about having 5 restaurants only had 1 available for the entire week we were present. The buffet was average at best, since it did not offer many selections. The food is very, very bland, so bland the hotel only uses no-salt butter. I personally am not a picky eater, and love lots of ethnic foods, the chefs at this hotel made it tough for a non-picky eater to eat. If not for the added bonus of room service it wouldve been the 1st time someone lost weight at an all inclusive. The menu was pretty basic and straight forward but orders still got mixed up and messed up. VERY IMPORTANT: do not get caught up in the special presentation for a refundable $20 deposit for a chance for a long weekend, they do not have a time share, but do have a vacation travel club, and it is over a 90 minute presentation and slightly pressuring to purchase. The hotel does offer some massage services but use a regular room to provide the service and no spa area at all. The hotel does have 3 pools: the adult pool very relaxing, and walk up bar, Alma the main bartender does serve the drinks, and takes orders when making her rounds. the main party pool has the music and staff running games and fun with a swim up bar, and the tranquility pool which has the waterfall effects and also has the swim up bar. All very nice and NONE were packed to the gills since it was the off season. There is also a lobby bar which was basically empty all week long. One of the worst parts of the trip was when we thought we were confirmed for our pick up for the airport after checking out and were never picked up, and had to pay for taxi service, which was not the worst thing, but not being able to call the reservations department until 9am local time time made it frustrating since our pick up time was 6:45am. All in all the hotel was nice but not great. The Los Cabos area offers alot of nice things from the Arch, to Lovers Beach, to Todos Santos to all the Tequilla tasting one could want.

Beautiful but you should know.....
Hotel beautiful, great customer service. But be aware - right after check in - anoying time share people protending that they are concierge. The push you to attand 90 minutes presentation (they keep you for least 2 hours). AND YOU CAN NOT SWIM IN OCEAN - except 3 beaches within 19 miles -we were very dissapointed. But the pools vere great.

Beware of "Travel Club Presentation"
This was a nice hotel in San Jose del Cabo, located on the east side of the peninsula, about 20 miles from Cabo San Lucas (where the Arch is). When we got to the hotel, one of the concierges welcomed us and got our bags taken care of, then proceeded to tell us about the available "excursions" (such as the tour of the Arch, sunset cruise, etc.) and offered us a discount and free gift if we'd sign up for the "club presentation" the next day. We were greeted at the appointed time by a salesperson who was very personable and interesting to talk with (an expat Californian). We toured the hotel facilities, had a great breakfast, and then went to the clubhouse for the presentation, which turned into a hard-sell for a very costly travel club membership that did little more than get you a better room at a discounted rate that, added to a normal room rate, equaled about the same. We spent half of one of our few days going through this, and it was the low point of an otherwise nice stay. The hotel had been updated, although a few details here and there were still in need of renovating. The beds were quite firm, almost to the point of being uncomfortable. Food at the all-inclusive buffets was superb at breakfast, and acceptable at lunch/dinner - nothing notable, but desserts were quite good. Hotel staff was friendly and efficient and everyone greeted you in the halls and lobby. A short walk from the hotel brings you to downtown San Jose del Cabo, a pleasant and very clean little town with plenty of shops, restaurants, and bars, but quiet and enjoyable. Overall, a good trip, but remember - no matter where you go in Cabo, DO NOT SIGN UP FOR THE "CLUB" PRESENTATION! You will waste half a day wishing you hadn't done so.
