We were very impressed with this place! It was clean and people very friendly--breakfast, lunch and dinners were fantastic!! Great beach and pool--wonderful amenities--can not say enough good things about this place!!! Super Staff!!!

About a 30 minute taxi ride from the airport (40-50E), but still a great location. Beautiful and quiet beach right across the street.
Breakfast buffet had a nice selection of foods--many staples that we've seen while traveling in the UK and Scandinavian countries. Grounds exceptionally clean as well as the rooms.
Only downside was the echoing of the courtyard area into our room (we had left the balcony door open for fresh air) in the morning. Only thing we would change was the beds--very, very firm, which is apparently the norm for Greece.

This building during the years of the Turkish Rule was the house of many, high rank officers of the Turkish military. Très bon rapport qualité prix.
Hôtel de qualité, personnel serviable et souriant.
Les parties communes sont magnifiques, la piscine à débordement est elle aussi très belle.
Nous avions réservé un appartement côté montagne, ce qui s'est avéré être un bon plan, car les logements côté mer donnent sur les terasses du restaurant et du bar, mais surtour sur la route qui passe aux pieds de l'hôtel et qui est très fréquentée.
L'accès à la plage peu se faire par un passage sous voies, ce qui évite de traverser la route. C'est plutôt partique, surtout une fois que vous aurez vu comment et à quelle vitesse circulent les grecs.
La location d'une voiture est indispensable si vous ne souhaiter pas passer tout votre séjour à l'hôtel.
Seul bémol, il faut compter plus d'une heure et demis de route pour relier Héraklion à Stalos.
Pour le reste, des commerces et restaurants sont proches et les gens sont plutôt sympa.
Evitez toutefois les restaurants en bord de mer, ils sont en principe chers et la qualité n'est souvent pas au rendez-vous.

A good 3 star product offering great service in an ideal location. (10/08 EP) It is a well known imposing six storey building accross the road from a square in the center of Chania. There is a nearby parking facility available for the guests at an additional cost. Ideally located close to the the Old Town and the Venetian Harbour. It is just a few minutes walk from the central bus station in the heart of Chania.

Samaria is a hotel that caters to business people from all over world. It is spotless, staff is lovely, breakfast selection ample. Love location, can walk all over city and touristy area as well. Feel safe as woman alone. Has secure parking lot. Just opened outdoor patio for breakfast or coffee. Sandwiches available at the bar until late. Hotel next door has been added and can access that as well. Easy to locate from airport.

Have stayed several times. Wish it had a pool but walking distance to limani (dock area) and downtown shopping and restaurants. Staff is wonderful, rooms simple and spotless, breakfast excellent, nice bar in evenings. Big plus is parking lot next to hotel! Short drive or bus ride to nice beaches and easy drive to airport.

This is a fantastic new property, at an intimate and quiet setting yet near to Platanias with it's bars and clubs.(02/08 EP) It is a single long building stretching from the seafront to the road that leads to Platanias. There is a large swimming pool with a special area for children. The hotel has a quite private setting as the buildings next to it are at a distance. Asterion is a brand new property in the outskirts of Platanias, the famous holiday hot spot of Chania. It is built directly on a wide sandy beach that streches for many kilometers between Platanias and Mirabello.

This is a high quality property, built virtually next to the beach addressing a family oriented clientele, which is what Georgioupolis is usually chosen for as it is a quieter than normal resort (01/09 EP) It is a purpose built 3 storey ocher coloured main block with characteristic covered balconies, and 2 other adjacent maisonette style buildings set in nice gardens that surround the swimming pool. The hotel is on the beach of Georgioupolis, a popular family resort about 30 min drive from Chania.

Sirios Village is an excellent choice for a long and relaxing family holiday. However there's no shortage of bars and clubs nearby and all the way to Agia Marina and Platanias, the famous resorts next to Kato Daratso. The quality of accommodation and variety of services at the hotel is exceptional and the location is ideal as a starting point to explore Chania and the surrounding area.( 08/08 EP) It is a complex of whitewashed detached maisonettes around the main building and the swimming pools, set in a well kept tree and flower garden. Sirios Village is located in Kato Daratso, 4km west of the city of Chania and 14km from the airport and near the crystal clear waters of the Cretan coastline.

This is a fantastic small hotel, a warm haven of hospitality directly on the seafront that offers the additional option of self catering to those who will resist trying the fantastic meals in the taverna. Santa Marina's night life is at your doorstep and Chania just a quick scoot away. What else could one possibly want for a perfect holiday ? (07/08 EP) It is a two storey building with a classical Greek facade surrounded by a small garden. There is a swimming pool with children's area outside the complex. Located directly on the beach of Santa Marina, Galini Beach is at a perfect location near the sea and also close to the center of Chania about 15 minutes away.

This is a luxurious 5* property in Chania and a fresh new proposition in a perfect location near the sea and the city. It only opened recently and the high level of services offered are being continuously enhanced and upgraded, but surely it is already among the most ambitious luxury properties in the area (07/08 EP) The massive, modern structure resembles a large ocean liner docked on a hill. It easily draws attention from a distance and dwarves most of the buildings in the vicinity. Located in the Santa Marina area of Chania, Galini Sea View is a majestic new palace located on a hill overlooking the town and seafront below. Chania city center is an easy 15 minute drive to the east.

This is a very good family run hotel, suitable for all guests. The beach is very close, the city of Chania is a 10 minute bus ride away. A fantastic solution for those who want to enjoy their stay away from the crowds but still close to all sights of interest (EP 01/08). The hotel comprises of 2 roughly equal buildings two storey each, cream coloured and very modern looking. In the Glaros area of Chania, 4km from the city and very close to the resort hot spots of Agia Marina and Platanias. The sandy beach is 100 meters away.
