Small room on 4th floor with no lift. Building seems to be designed as 'apartments', but too small to work in, as the direct entrance to the street (rather than via the reception) has each room with its own bell, and the room has a door entry phone. OK for one night, but would not want to stay there for longer. We chose it for price plus access to the ring road (from the east) and for parking within the hotel area. Street on tram line.

The hotel is easy to reach by public transportation from the main train station by light rapid transit line number 9, "Wangener/Landhausstr." stop. You have to walk up Landhausstr. for about 300 yards/meters and the hotel is on your right. The "Gaisburg" stop of light rapid transit line number 4 is even closer to the hotel, but does not connect directly to the main train station. You are never more than ten minutes away from the city center by either of these transportation choices.
The hotel is located amidst an older built up area. Landhausstrasse, the hotel's address does not have heavy automobile traffic, but since the light rapid transit system runs right in front of the hotel it is a bit noisy. I stayed there in April, but note that the hotel does not have air conditioning, so it may be somewhat uncomfortable in Stuttgart's summer temperatures.
Staff is minimal, but friendly.
I had booked a standard room. It was very small, but with a French bed. Everything was clean and the bathroom appliances up to date. (No hair dryer though). The wireless internet was a bit spotty at times but generally in working condition. Breakfast was simple but included in the price like the wireless LAN. My room did have a balcony.
Overall, a very basic but sufficient accomodation. There is absolutely no glamor to this hotel as the internet pictures may suggest.
There is a discount super market and some other shops (flowers, cigars etc.) in the immediate vicinity of the hotel.

Convenient to the Stuttgart Airport

This hotel is quite close to the airport but if you don't have your own transportation, there is not much else close by. The hotel does have a restaurant which I highly recommend as the staff and food are superb. The hotel does not offer AC in the room but do have portable fans/ac in some rooms. The hotel could use some updating (especially with the bedding and decor). Overall, this is a good place to stay for a short stay if you need to be close to the airport.

The hotel got a bad review or two but I decided to try it myself since it was fairly cheap and the reviews were old.
It was a thoroughly clean and pleasant place to stay. The dinner was very good especially for the price, breakfast was excellent and there was WiFi, despite a review stating otherwise. Would stay again when I have an early next day flight for sure!

We liked the location, and it was easy to at the end of the train station. The access to the main part of town - and the various shops and restaurants - made it one of our better stops.

Was in Germany for the Christmas markets and to see friends and wanted to use the trains to get around. Staying at the main train station was a big time saver and with a bank, food places and shopping all there it was nice to have conveniences available to us. The free VVS card help with getting in and out of town and added to our travel enjoyment. Plus the staff for us at least was very nice and very helpful and we when called front desk for extra pillows they had them to us in under 4 minutes! The rooms are sound proof except for the sirens of police and fire that seems to run every 30 minutes but other then that no major noise when windows are shut. Room was nice and large so you did not feel cramped and only issue was the heaters seem to really heat the room so we had to turn them down and open windows to cool room. Breakfast was good and reasonable but really the location was main attraction for choosing this location. Getting to the room was some trouble but once you learn how to take multiple evaluators and stairs it became easy to find the room. Door key is tricky on some floors and you have to get the feel for how to open your door and lock it from inside but not big issue.

We've stayed there several times before--it's a consistent, reliable hotel. A five minute tram ride from the main station..you can even walk although it's a bit uphill. Rooms are comfortable, very up to date. Breakfast is very good. Only negative is that there are not places right near for dinner but a quick tram ride downtown gives you all of the possibilities. The hotel dinner is actually quite nice if you do stay in.

I have stayed there many times. It is a very short tram ride on the U15 from the main train station (kurzstrech 1 euro ticket) and is great value for the money. Staff is very friendly and accommodative (they offered to have breakfast ready 1/2 hour before the regular time so I could meet a train schedule). Location is quiet. Rooms are a good value. Breakfast is expensive but very nice and worth it.

Ein sehr schönes Hotel. Personal total freundlich und zuvorkommend. Hotel liegt zwar an einer viel befahrenen Hauptstraße, doch wir hatten ein Zimmer in den Hof, daher war es sehr ruhig. Dazu möchte ich sagen, wir waren im Winter dort, daher hatten wir die Fenster geschlossen.
Ein großer Vorteil war, dass wir nur durch den Schlosspark gehen mussten, um zum Hauptbahnhof und zur Fussgängerzone zu gelangen.
Wir haben auch das Hallenbad sehr genossen.
Es war ein wunderschöner Aufenthalt und ich kann das Hotel nur weiter empfehlen.

Loved it! Hotel is beautifully appointed, clean, great location, wonderful staff. Only negative: whoever designed the bathroom never tried to use it. You can't reach the towel after taking a shower unless you step out of the shower, close the shower door, and take the towel off the hook that is otherwise behind the shower door. (And there is no where else to put it while taking the shower, unless you consider placing it on the toilet.) Also, the hotel hair dryer is hard-wired to the bathroom drawer, limiting the distance you can use the dryer -- which is too close to the wall. Bruises on my elbow tell the story. Otherwise, loved it. And would definitely consider staying there again.

Sehr gutes Hotel; Leider musste ich feststellen,dass in meiner Buchung fälschlicherweise das Frühstück nicht inbegriffen war.
Es wurde mir bestätigt : only room, breakfast......
Ich wurde dann an der Rezeption aufgeklärt, dass breakfast nur eine Option wäre. Wenn ich das vorher gewusst hätte, wären wir wo anderst frühstücken gegangen und hätten die 40 € für 2 Personen gespart. Schade

A nice hotel with friendly service and with good connection to the centre.
0707SO The exterior of the building is in a clean, modern style. The hotel has a pale yellow facade similar to the other buildings in the area. The hotel is located in a quiet side street in a central residential area and within walking distance of all the city centre tourist attractions and shops.

Features such as the windows also highlight the classical style and atmosphere of the building and belie the modern design featured inside. Very basic clean room with a great location near the subway and city center. The downside is the 9:15 am wake-up call from the church bells in the city.-

The hotel is in a great location...just outside of the downtown area, close to Olympia Park and the English Gardens. The downtown area is easily and quickly accessible by the U-Bahn located VERY close to the hotel. The hotel itself offers several amenities, including two musical theaters, a cineplex, several shops and numerous restaurants. I would DEFINITELY recommend this hotel!

Attended business meetings nearby. Hotel is somewhat remote and although it is adjacent a large complex, little choice for meals on Monday & Tuesday as almost all hotel restaurants are closed.

Great hotel, zero American tourists (so it's off the beaten path). Very friendly staff, eager to please. This is a German hotel in Germany, as opposed to a tourist hotel in Germany where you mind find a variety of nationalities. This is where German businessmen stay, where they conduct meetings, and where German travelers in general will stay. Around 3 KM north of the main sites around Stuttgart, particularly Patch Barracks. Easy drive south in the morning for meetings around town, easy drive north at the end of the day. Excellent FREE breakfast, good dinner menu, though somewhat limited. Room was neat and tidy, but not an American standard. Again, nothing negative. Comfortable bed, approximated a full size, just a bit smaller. Tub was narrower than a US one. Shower was a handheld sprayer mounted on the wall; standard in Europe, not so in the US. Plenty of hot water, all glasses were glass, no plastic. Fridge in the room stocked with beer, wine, snacks. TV looked like a computer monitor, had TV controls and a remote control. Business center gave you internet access, but it was a German keyboard (no touch typing, different keys and letter/character placement). Free wifi in the lobby, separate network available in the room for a fee. Free parking. Excellent experience, will plan to stay there again on my next trip.

Hotel liegt auserhalb von Stuttgart an einer viel befahrenen Straße.Ohne Auto kommt man schlecht weg.
Die Zimmer haben ihre besten Zeiten auch schon hinter sich, wahren jetzt nicht schlecht aber für den stolzen Preis von über 400 Euro für zwei Nächte in einer Junior Suite hätte ich weitaus mehr erwartet.

Wow - I was scared when I booked this - it had good reviews, but the price was too low - I was afraid it would not be much - We were wrong. Nice clean hotel, nothing crazy, but a good bar, nice breakfast and clean room for a steal of a price. I'd stay there again!
