The Hotel Haus Martens is located in the heart of the List a well known part of the city. It is only two tram stops away from the central train station. In this lovely part of the city you will not only find beautiful old buildings but also interesting parks like for example the De Haen Platz located directly across from the hotel or the close by city park Eilenriede. The List Mile one of the favorite shopping areas is only 5 minutes away from the hotel. That is where you can also find the tram stops which offer you an excellent connection to the public transportation of Hanover. The airport is approximately 15 minutes away by car as is the Hanover Messe. The Hanover Messe can be reached in 25 minutes by tram. Additional Information; Check-in; Mondays to Sundays 13.00 till 22.00 pm. Children age 6 and under stay free in the room with parents and in existing bedding. Children age 7-16 receive a 50 pct reduction. Children over this age will be considered an adult. The hotel reserves the right without prior notification to cancel any reservation with an invalid or incomplete credit card number.

The family run hotel Waldersee offers many amenities including an indoor pool (5x10 meters), sauna, solarium, a self-service bar and free of charge internet-access in the lobby.
The guestrooms are comfortably furnished and have private baths, hair-dryer, TVs,free-of-charge Wi-Fi, safe and a desk. Nonsmoking rooms are available upon request. Parking is available for free.
The hotel Waldersee is located next to the famous city forest, the Eilenriede and 2 miles from the large train station, and a block from the underground. The city center is about 15 minutes away using the underground. All major attractions from shopping to dining to sightseeing can be easily reached either on foot or public transportation

A welcoming and comfortable city hotel. Flooded with light and with a friendly atmosphere. Favourably located in the north of the city in the Vahrenwald district. The tram stops directly in front of the hotel. It takes just a few minutes to reach the exhibition grounds or the city centre. Stroll through the exhibition halls or across the traditional flea market at the old city wall or simply follow the red thread which will take you past all the city s sights
The bright hotel complex comprises four buildings- the main building with 44 rooms the reception with the small lobby bar the breakfast restaurant and the fitness wing. An ensemble of three annex buildings with small gardens in front contains another 48 rooms a second breakfast restaurant and the conference centre.

I stayed in the second building, a motel style building with the room door on the outside with private parking right in front of your door. A simple room but all was new and clean with good heating system. The tram stop is right in front the hotel, you can easily reach the railway station in 5 minutes and from there any other destination.
Surprisingly buffet beakfast was included, i did not know.
Desk attendants were kind and helpfull.
Probably the best bargain of my travelling life.
If you want an hotel with fancy hall, restaurant and bar you have to spend at least 3 times more and probably you will have to take a cab to get out.

The Avalon has got lovely singles and doubles as well as rooms suitable for more than 3 persons. All rooms are, of course, equipped with a shower, WC, satellite TV and telephone. Stylishly decorated in various themes, our rooms boast a very unique and relaxing ambiance. Anyway, we are quite sure that you will like staying with us, especially as the Avalon is situated in a district offering a wide range of restaurants, pubs and shops. Last but not least: there is a wonderful park area, called Eilenriede, which is ideal for relaxing and many sports activities...

Einen schlechten ersten Eindruck macht die vollgerauchte Lobby. Beim Badezimmer wurde nicht an weibliche Gäste gedacht: kaum Ablagefläche, schlechte Beleuchtung.
