Close proximity to Hamburg Dammtor station (one stop from Hamburg Hbf). Clean, well-sized room in a beautiful hotel. Hotel staff was exceptionally friendly.

Further more the hotel can offer you a parking spot for your car which is only 250 m far from hotel. DSL Internet Connection is available in every room.

The hotel is quite inconspicuous from outside, being over a Kebab shop in a mixed area. Location is ideal, being 2-3 minutes from the main train and bus stations. The single room was very compact but adequate for my needs. Breakfast was ok with the usual range of cereals, cold meat, cheese, bread and fruit.
Service was friendly and overall I was satisfied with the hotel and the price.

Nice but be wary of neighborhood

The single room is very small (more like a large walk-in closet than hotel room), but it had a nice shower (good water pressure, heated up fast) and free wi-fi in the room. Breakfast included breads, meats, yogurt and cheeses - and Nutella. Yum. There are no other amenities, such as a gym and the small TV has only German-language and one French-language stations. The front desk person was friendly and the metro (U and S) are very close, as is a taxi stand and a major shopping area is about 10 - 15 min walk away. The Rathuas is 1 or 2 metro stops away and also within walking distance. The neighborhood is a bit shady though. There are several sex shops on the block and prositutes frequent the area at night. I was uncomfortable walking alone at night. A local resident, when he heard where I was staying, advised me of certain walking routes to take to avoid potentially troublesome areas. Due to this, I probably would not stay here again. If the neighborhood does not bother you, this is a nice "basic plus" hotel for when you plan to be out and about most of the time and want a clean and comfortable place to sleep at night.

Das Hotel bietet jeglichen Konfort, ist sehr modern, sauber und die Zimmer sind sehr schön und luxuriös ausgestattet. Ein besonderer Hingucker ist das Badezimmer mit der Fensterscheibe zum Bett hin. Es gibt aber einen Sichtschutz, den man runterlassen kann. Das Personal am Empfang war sehr freundlich!
Die Lage ist nicht ganz optimal, falls man die Stadt zu Fuss erkunden will. Die Reeperbahn und der Hafen sind in ca. 30 min zu Fuss zu erreichen.
Wir würden dieses Hotel jederzeit wieder buchen!

All was fine with le Royal Meridien - lovely room and good location on the Alter Alster. The only problem (apart from being charged 10 Euros for a coffee with water) was that the lobby bar was opened for smoking in the evening which I might have appreciated a few years ago but not now. The World has moved on from very smoky hotel bars and this was an unwelcome surprise!

Lage an der Alster zwar toll - aber ohne View bringts nix! Also Mariott oder Steigenberger liegen da eher im Zentrum. Trotzdem nahe dem Bahnhof und mit U- und S-Bahn oder Taxi ist man im Nu überall. Sauber wars auch und im Grunde alles drin was man braucht (kann man auch erwarten). Service war sehr freudlich. Preis - naja - natürlich sinds 5 Sterne aber 160 Eur pro Nacht ohne Frühstück ist für ein paar Stunden Schlaf mehr als genug.

The Staff was extremely welcoming and helpful. The room was spotless and quite large. Parking at the connected Park Haus was easy and convenient. Breakfast was delicious and the restaurant offered an excellent menu for lunch and dinner. To top it all off, the location could not be better.

Location is kinda of hidden by car, but once you find it, it's great! Parking garage is available in the building. Staff was very cordial, English speaking and very helpful. Resturants, shopping, museums, sightseeing everything all within walking distance.

Meine Frau und ich sind nach Hamburg gekommen, um uns das Musical "König der Löwen" anzusehen, das Hotel wurde uns via ebookers in Kombination mit einem Flug angeboten.
Es liegt wenige Gehminuten von der U-Bahn Station Christuskirche entfernt, ist daher sehr gut zu erreichen. Das Personal ist sehr aufmerksam, zuvorkommend und freundlich, das Hotel ist sehr sauber, die Gänge riechen immer frisch. Da es an einer Durchzugsstraße liegt, wird man ein wenig Verkehrslärm hinnehmen müssen, der sich aber bei geschlossenen Fenstern sehr in Grenzen hält.
Einzige Kritikpunkte:
- Das Badezimmer, das etwas zu dunkel ist und durchaus eine Renovierung vertragen könnte.
- Zuwenig Ablagemöglichkeiten für Wäsche vorhanden, mehr als 2 Tage wird man mit dem Stauraum nicht auskommen
Ansonsten eine absolute Empfehlung, wir werden sehr gerne wiederkommen.

Wir waren zwei Nächte im Maritim, Hotel ist ziemlich groß. Hatten leider nur ein Zimmer mit Block auf die gegenüberliegende Wand des Gebäudes, also nach innen raus, uns wars egal weil wir die ganze Zeit unterwegs waren.
Zimmerservice kam nicht um die Betten zu machen oder das Bad zu reinigen, was natürlich nicht so toll ist.
Lage ist gut, man kann alles zu Fuß erreichen oder mit S/U-Bahn.

One of the items of information requested when I signed in was by brithday and having breakfast the mext morning on my Birthday the hotel staff alerted our witress about my birthday. She brought out a blueberry muffin with a candle in it wishing me a happy birthday! That was great customer service. To bad the hotels in the US don't think about the little things like they did over in Germany.

The convenience of having this hotel so close to the main train station is wonderful. It was our "hub" when taking the ICE trains to Berlin, Hanover etc. Request room 530. Did not try their restaurant but the special on Friday, and Saturday night was sold out.

As an old client that had given up on The Atlantic, I was pleasantly surprised that most renovation is completed (although some command parts of the lobby, restaurants are a bit dated). So, it is back to its old glory and also back to some overpriced items (such as breakfast).

Alles in Allem ein sehr schönes Hotel. Der alte Wasserturm wurde aufwendig zu einem 4 Sterne Hotel umgebaut. Mein Freund hatte Geburtstag sowohl in der Bar als auch beim Frühstück wurde er mit kleinen Überraschungen des Hotels beglückt...War richtig nett...
Dieses Hotel kann man sehr empfehlen und ich würde jederzeit wieder dorthin gehen,

Nachdem man sich von dem äusseren Eindruck und dem Eingang (ist ein Fahrstuhl) erholt hat, ist es sehr angenehm. Das Zimmer war klein aber sehr gemütlich und vor allen Dingen sehr sauber.
Das Frühstück finde ich mit 12 € teuer, kann aber nicht beurteieln wie es ist, da ich bei einem Seminar gefrühstückt habe. Rezeption ist sehr freundlich, alles war gut. Habe einen sehr guten Preis gehabt und beurteile nach Preis-Leistung.

The location of the hotel is in a rather strange area, but is quite handy from the city. A 10 minute walk to the MRT and you are 2 stops away from the city centre. The Hotel is quite good and the rooms are very good for the price. However, the service needs a lot of improvement. Reception staff were trying to be helpful, but because we didn't speak German they were not that interested.
Forget about eating in the restaurant, the service was very poor and the choice of meals on the menu was very limited and if you did make a selection the chances were that they didn't have it. Remeber it's only a 10 mintue walk to catch a train to the city centre, where there are heaps of good restaurants to choose from, and the walk is quite safe. Would I stay there again, yes, because for the price, it is a very reasonable hotel. (Think Faulty Towers.)
