The Hotel Victoria is the "perfect" location as it is very close to the train station. You just simply roll your luggage just across the street and in a few minutes you are there. The hotel is not the Ritz, or anything fancy however, it has a small hotel and a cozy feel with a very elegant breakfast room, and a fantastic breakfast bar. Our room was larger than the other rooms as we got a room with a balcony (there is only a few) just by asking. The room is simple but nice, spotless with hardwood floors and free WIFI. Their restaurant is limited as you can just order pizza or a sandwich but everything is within walking distance to the hotel with great restaurants and shops nearby. The service could not have been any better and we felt that the hotel was a good find. This was a business trip combined with pleasure and stayed @ Hotel Victoria for 9 days. We visited Heidelberg, Titisee, and since Freiburg is by the train station, it is a great base. There are plenty to do in Freiburg as it has abundance of restaurants, the black forrest, museums, great cathedrals, churches with incredible architecture, shopping, outdoor market with fresh fruits, fish, flowers, herbs, and anything you desire is all right there all within walking distance. Freiburg is a tourist town and a college town with many Europeon tourist but not like Heidleberg where you see many Americans. The hotel and the City itself is a jewel. Most of the people there speak English and Germans were all so nice to us!

Very clean and nice hotel

The hotel is in very close to the city center and in walking distance to the main shopping areas. We had a great room including a nice bath tub that was big enough for two. However this is only available if booking a deluxe room which is more expensive than the others. The breakfast is amazing and offers everything you can ask for.
The room was very clean and there were no bad things that i can remember about it.

The hotel staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The room was awesome and the beds were comfortable. The bathroom was beautiful and clean. The views from our room were breathtaking. This was just one stop on our European trip and I would definately recommend it. The town/city had plenty to see-- wonderful coble streets, easy tram system, excellent restruants and outdoor markets to eat and shop at -- friendly people. We hiked in the Black forest - nice trials - to the top of the mountain to lookout tower--what a view. We took a short train/bus ride to a small town in France called Colmar. The bus is waiting for you as soon as you get off the trian - What an awesome transportation system Europe has!!

Ich hatte Zimmer inclusive Frühstück gebucht, was beim check in bestätigt wurde,doch beim check out sollte ich nachzahlen.nach bösem hin und her, unprofessionalität seitens der Rezeption,konnte ich nur durch diese zahlung das hotel verlassen. 18euro für ein Stink normales frühstück pro pers.hätte ich mir lieber erspart und wäre in Freiburg in eines der heimeligen Cafés gegangen.
Ergo, was abends an der Rezeption gilt, muss noch lange nicht am Vormittag gelten - so nicht!!!!

It was convenient to be steps from the train station. The room was fine. The window sill was filthy. I found that unusual. The room was comfortable. It was stuffy so we needed to open the windows. Thanks heavens we could do that, but the noise of the yelling drunks at the train station almost all night forced us to close the windows again. It's next to the train station and just outside of the Altstadt, so very convenient for a visit.

0508SR The building is very modern, in excellent condition overall and well maintained. The Intercity hotel is located adjacent to the main station and is within easy walking distance of the old town. A busy main street is on one side.

Description
This is a great hotel for budget travellers, and the city can be easily reached via public transport.
1008SR The hotel is a large white modern building and has large glass front and entrance. The hotel is located about a 7 minute drive from the centre of Freiburg, next to the Freiburg University Hospital and borders the residential areas of Freiburg.

Zimmer gut aber Möblage für 4-stern ziemlich billig. Frühstück und Parkmöglichkeiten tadellos. Nicht weit zum Zentrum. Derzeit Baustelle davor, aber keinerlei störender Lärm. Gute Cocktails mit Sitzmöglichkeit im Freien. Insgesamt durchaus empfehlenswert

This is a very high class product in an excellent location, with a long tradition. 0308SR This is a modern looking building with plenty of glass, and the hotel houses its own inhouse bakery and cafe as part of the cafe to the side of the hotel. The hotel is located within walking distance of the old town and the city centre, yet well located for access to the motorway. The hotel overlooks a busy road on one side.

The Columbi is perfectly located for experiencing both the University and the Old Town sections of Freiburg. The hotel's amenities and staff justify its reputation and price, and I would recommend it to a seasoned traveler or first time visitor to the area.

Das Hotel weist keinen Dorint-Standard auf, hierfür ist die Ausstattung nicht mehr ganz zeitgemäß. Wegen Bauarbeiten am Hotel ist in nächster Zeit kein ruhiger und ungestörter Aufenthalt möglich, Gäste sollten dies wissen.

Der Empfang im Hotel war höchst professionell. Das Zimmer Gutedel war sehr gemütlich und sauber, ein schöner Blick auf den angrenzenden Wald und eine himmlische Ruhe in der Nacht halfen für einen erholsamen Schlaf. Eine direkter Zugang vom Hotel zur Therme ist vorhanden und die Wellness-Anwendungen waren nicht nur preiswert, das Personal verstand es sich perfekt um den Gast zu kümmern, um eine tolle Erholungsphase zu gewährleisten. Das Frühstücksbuffet war reichlich und alle Zutaten frisch. Ein direkter Zugang zur Tiefgarage war ebenfalls vorhanden. Das Personal war stets freundlich und sehr hilfsbereit.
