très bon accueil, vaste chambre avec salon, lits très confortables, petit déjeuner très varié, personnel trop proche à notre goût, ne quittez pas la table, on vous enlève votre assiette systématiquement, même non consommée, on se précipite pour vous servir le café alors qu'il est sur la table et que l'on peut le faire soit même. C'est malheureux de trouver que le service est excessif... Certains trouverons cela parfait, pas moi !

The hotel was great. Room was large and spotless. Location is off the beaten path, but right at a subway station. There are more than one hotel with the same name, so make sure the driver knows which one.

This is a modern hotel with spacious rooms. The staff were very helpful and attentive. Service was excellent. The location is only 10 minutes by tram from the centre and there are good connections across the city. Highly recommended!

Worst mattresses in all of Europe

I stayed there for MEDICA, the worlds largest medical trade fair. The rooms are tired but the hotel is clean and the day manager always had a ready smile. Normal price is 20% of the rate they charge during the fair (ie. $145 Vs $630) plus a very expensive breakfast. I understand their pricing as it is the biggest fair of the year with people having to stay up to 60 miles away to get a reasonably priced room. The least they can do, however, is provide a bed upon which one can actually get a good nights sleep. When I complained about the extremely hard and un-yielding mattress I was told that it was normal and that all mattresses in Germany were like that one. The desk clerk was clearly skeptical when I told him that I travel to Germany at least 6 times a year and that the mattresses were by far the worst I had ever tried to sleep on. There was nothing they were willing to do about it not-with-standing their 100% satisfaction guarantee. The one delightful aspect to the stay was their shower. It was as powerful as a fire hose and provided relief from a long day!

I was delayed because of weather and my prepaid room was available when I arrived. The quality of the pillows need to be improved - too soft and a larger comforter would have been appreciated. Breakfast is quite good - large selection of breads, juices, fruits, meats, cheese & hot items.

This hotel is located conveniently 2 blocks from the train station and easy walking distance to the Old Town for restaurants and Duesseldorf's homegrown beer havens. Highly recommend this hotel. While the room I chose was small, it included a safe, a strong shower in a well-lit and attractive bathroom. I slept soundly. Hard to ask for more.

I had an overnight layover and stayed at the Maritim with my wife and 11-month-old daughter. The staff was great, taking care of all necessary arrangements to make sure the baby was comfortable. We ate lunch at the restaurant in the lobby and the food and staff were also very good. I made several long-distance phone calls to Greece and the US and expected to pay an arm and a leg, but they charged me a VERY reasonable 5-euros. I really appreciate that. The location couldn't be better. It's about 100 meters/yards from the airport entrance. It was so convenient, we strolled over a couple times to buy some snacks and to walk around. We tried to book on the return leg, but we (unfortunately) decided to try the Sheraton. It was like night and day--no comparison. I will recommend the Maritim to all my friends.

Convenient location for airport connections

We booked this hotel through Orbitz at a great discount price, following an airline booking we made with them from ROM to MIA with an overnight in DUS. I'm not sure of their regular prices, but for us, it was the least expensive place we stayed in 29 days of travel (75.00 Euros) so the value was outstanding. We were tired and did not use any of the amenities, but we saw several people using their bar and restaurant and they looked pleased. When we were assigned our room, we turned on the A/C and it was very noisy. We reported it immediately (before unpacking) and were told they would send a repair man to check it. Instead, we requested another room and we were accommodated immediately. The room was of a fair size: small but comfortable and had a large plasma TV, a table and two chairs, and the decor was very modern and pleasing. The bathroom was large and had a bathtub with a shower and everything was super clean. Be aware that the "half" shower door, does not seal the seepage of water into the floor, so the floor towel/mat got soaked and rendered useless when I got out of the shower. The beds where very comfortable with excellent sheets. We took a short walk around the block and even though it was Sunday, we spotted a supermarket just next to the hotel, a tavern type restaurant, a deli and a Chinese restaurant, all open! We chose Chinese (go figure!) and we liked their food very much. Unless I had a connection the next morning, or some business to take care of around the area, I would choose a different location but for our purposes it was perfect. There is ONE computer at the lobby that can be used for free, but Internet at the room is available at an extra charge, which seems to be the norm in Europe (with some very unusual exceptions).

I had an overnight in dusseldorf and booked the lindner based on past reviews! Only an 7 euro cab ride, although shuttle to and from airport is available Monday to Friday, I got to my destination within minutes of leaving the airport! Great staff, booked a smoking room, room was clean, modern and just what I needed. I grabbed the tram which is situated right out front to head into downtown dusseldorf in just 10 minutes! The staff provided a map and great instructions! I am returning to Europe next year and will def stay at the lindner again! Don't hesitate, you'll be pleased and the price is just right!

Rooms are not very spacious, but o.k., Staff is very friendly and effective. Location is very convenient if travelling by car. With public transport it takes about 30 min. to the Düsseldorf fair or to the city center.
Despite being close to a highway, it is not very noisy, windows are excellent.
Breakfast buffet is extraordinary for this price, great choice and good quality (e.g. fresh juices).

Although the hotel was lovely and had good leisure facilities, it was in the industrial area and just too far away from the City Centre. I would not recommend you stay here if you are staying for a weekend break as there are no subways trains running on Sundays at all and even on Saturday they don't run after 7.00pm so you have to get taxi's into the city which can be quite expensive!

The location was fabulous, we collected our luggage at the airport, walked across the street and checked in!
Check-in was friendly and immediate.
The room was perfect, except for the fact that we are very uncomfortable sleeping with duvets as covers, too hot, but that is personal preference, the rest of the world seems to like duvets.
Our TV did not work and was replaced immediately with many apologies.
The restaurant attached was very good, and moderately expensive. Good service.
The room was furnished well with a coffee and tea set-up. The bathroom had all the usual lotions, shampoos, etc.
Check out was fast and courteous.
I would use the Sheraton Dusseldorf Airport again.

Akzeptables Businesshotel mit sehr guter Autobahnanbindung zur Messe Düsseldorf. Service war freundlich hilfsbereit. Die Sauberkeit war leicht eingeschränkt (z.B. verschmutze Tasse auf dem Zimmer). Empfehlung als Messehotel oder für Termine im Krefelder Süden.

Good modern business hotel

It was quite a modern, hi tech experience at the Düsseldorf Airport (Ratingen) Tryp. Great if you are on business and have a car; close to Autobahn to get you to the Düsseldorf, Duisburg and the NRH regions. The hotel is near the edge of the community and the area is quiet. The staff is friendly and helpful.
The center feature of the room was an open glass cylinder shower between the bed and washroom. The toilet, thankfully, is in a small separate room!
The room had the usual mini fridge, a microwave, a small sink above it. The sink had probably not been used in a while as there was the distinct smell of sewer gas in the immediate area. Thankfully, a rolling shutter closed off the sink area.
A work desk wing has the phone and a wired internet connection (wifi is not available) at no extra charge. Bring your own CAT5 cable or the desk will loan you one.
Parking is also complimentary. There are many spaces but they do tend to fill up. The overflow is handled by parking on the street.
The breakfast buffet is one of the better I've experienced. Many choices presented to the customer with care and attention to detail. There was even a cook on hand to prepare omelets to order.
I would definitely return on the next visit.

Although we stayed 5 nights, they did not change the bed sheets.
When I checked in, I realized that they had towels for only 1 person. The 3rd day they put again towels for 1 person.
They brought towels for the 2nd person when I asked for them.
Concerning the cleanliness of the room and facilities it was ok.
The hotel is in a quiet place conveniently situated neat to airport and to the fair of Dusseldorf. The room is quite big and there are cooking facilities for those who would like to stay for a long time or like to cook for themselves.
The bathroom is open and well seen from the bed. I think this should be in mind to those who are not traveling in couples.
The parking is very convenient too and they have a very good breakfast.
The dinner is good although I found it a little expensive (price per person Euro 23 excluding beverages for buffet). They also offer a la carte dinner.
I would stay again at this hotel.
