Great experience. The breakfast, although expensive, is absoultey the best most extensive breakfast to be found anywhere. Great customer service, very friendly around the clock. Language was important to me as a non-German speaking foreigner: everyone at this hotel is fluent in Eglish, some spoke it even better than I!
Great location is your visit it to see the historical old town. Everything is within a few minutes walking distance and the views, day or night, are great. Right near the river and a good place to be!

Hotel staff were very friendly and polite. I used to travel to Bavaria a lot and was always unhappy with the attitude of service people there. The staff od this hotel and in general Dresden people in former east Germany came as a pleasant surprise to me.
This hotel is relatively expensive but right next door to convention center where I was attending an event. As such, I consider the convenience factor to be the justification.

The hotel is old but clean, and the location is also good. Even though it is located in the neustadat, it is aside the river, and I could take photo in the bank.
Walking to the theater is also easy. If you go to the hotel from Dresden Neustadat Bahnhof, it costs only 5 euro by Taxi.

This fabulous hotel occupies a prime location in Dresden - next to the famous Church of our Ladies, which burnt down during the disasterous bombings of this beautiful Barock town on 13th February 1945, but was rebuild to it's former glory with a grand opening in October 2006. Stepping out of the hotel and you find yourself in the historic centre of Dresden with a wide choice of bar, restaurants and entertainment, like Opera, close by.

Lower level will have traffic noise if open any window. 30-minutes (each time) free wi-fi Internet service only located at LOBBY area. Expensive drink charge inside Room mini-bar. Otherwise, it's a really comfortable & value-for-money 4-Star Hotel. Recommended to all traveler. Just 1 minute walk to MacDonald is a PLUS.
Hotel's car to Dresden Airport is EUR15 only, no need to call a taxi when your back way to Airport.

The traditional and family Dresden hotel "Rothenburger Hof" is located in Dresden Germany government district called the "Neustadt". El edificio de enfrente está lleno de graffitti, pero no hay que asustarse: es una zona como de estudiantes, y la tiene muy buen ambiente, bares de jazz, tiendas de diseno... y a 15 minutos del centro, por zonas amplias y peatonales. El servicio del hotel es excelente: repusieron el secador estropeado en 5 minutos. Hay detalles que se agradecen: el desayuno buffet, buenísimo, hasta incluye café expresso (un lujo en Alemania), y vino espumoso; el albornoz y las zapatillas; el café, zumo, pastas y fruta en el lobby; el chocolatito sobre la almohada... Estupenda opción!

We used this hotel as a base for touring Dresden. The hotel itself and its staff were wonderful. However, the breakfast is too expensive and too comprehensive for what we normally eat each morning; thus, it was good that it was not included in the price. We found that the hotel was well within walking distance to everything that we desired to see. Later, we learned that it was also very nearby to running paths that we might have considered it we had not planned on and done so much walking.

Great hotel to enjoy visiting the tourist sites in Dresden. Although the location of this hotel was about 3-5 kilometers from the center of Dresden, the trolley was very easy to use to get you to and from the center of the city and restaurants. The room was very large even though for a couple and an adult sister. There was no ice machine, but the bar freely provided ice.

Overall this was very good. The only problem was that the advertised wireless internet was so slow that I had to buy for 15 Euros per day a high speed connection.

I had a confirmed reservation for one person, one room, but hotel had three confirmation and demanded that I pay for three rooms. Naturally I refused. They wantd me to advice you before checking in, but I don't carry computers with me and don'w know how to use foreign ones. Had to wait in loby for almost an hour until they finally let me check in for one room. Breakfast was not include, and was expensive. The hotel was 5 blocks from the Semperoper instead of one so I had to take taxis both ways. Room was large and lovely but noisy street cars just outside.

I personally find that the relation between features/ offers and the price of the breakfast is quite bad.
15 EUR per person for the items which were offered... that's quite bad.
The location itself (the distance to the train station), tram connections- also during the night- are great.

ドレスデン中央駅から約300メートルの便利な立地、重たい荷物があっても中央駅から歩いて５分以内で到着できました。トラムの停留所はさらに近くホテルから１分のところにあり、市内中心へ乗り換えなしに移動できます。中心地まで歩いても20分程度です。
部屋は狭くシャワーのみでしたが、昼間は観光で、夜はゼンパーオペラで外出し、ホテルは夜の宿泊と昼寝や休憩に使ったので満足できました。
朝食は種類が豊富で、平均以上のレヴェルだと思いました。

Nice hotel

This is a nice hotel. It is very clean. The staff are very courteous and helpful. It has a serene air about it- nice to start and end busy days. It is a good location and easy walking to places of interest. Also close to a pedestrian greenway where you can sit and stroll. It is just a couple of blocks from the Neustadt train station (you may have to connect to the Hauptbanhof, one stop away, to get to some places like Prague) and close to tram lines. You can rent a bicycle which is good for getting around Dresden. The breakfasts are good, if a bit heavy on meats and high fat options (but you can arrange for personal preferences). The dining room is very nice in an old fashioned way and there are always flowers and candles and you can eat in the patio. (Next door is a wonderful restaurant dedicated to potato cuisine.) The bedding is down pillows and duvets. The rooms are nice but mine was not designed for maximum use - ie there was a big couch taking up a lot of room but you could not sit on it to watch TV because of the placement. I was surprised that there were no English language news stations. The bathroom was a bit skimpy. I am slender but had to swivel under the sink to sit on the commode. Also the shower is very small (don't try to lean over to pick up that dropped bar of soap - deep knee bends necessary). But all in all I am comfortable recommending it.

Had a wonderful couple of days. Perfect location. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Room was very comfortable with plenty of space. The room was also very quiet-breakfast menu was wonderful.

enjoyed my stay here. location was perfect and the room was very clean and comfortable. tons of restaurants nearby and piazza was just a few steps away. breakfast was also wonderful. will definitely stay here again.

It is located in the a great place. Great old architecture all around the hotel. Not to far from the hauptbhnhof(central train station), by taxi it took 5-9 minutes. I walked back to the station after my stay. It's safe to walk around and did't walk into any areas that I would be worried about.
