a new hostel very close to S-Bahn station. not far from mitte but gonna take a few transits to most places which takes more time than expected. breakfast is very simple but ok. internet is not free except a few useful websites but not expensive. the only bad thing is a lot of people smoke in the internet room.

For the price, it was very reasonable, specially on a Saturday night. Close to Oranienstrasse and Torstrasse which has a lot of things to offer specially at night. Short drive and also close to the tram. The rooms are clean, although we were not given the option for smoking or non smoking room, and we got a smoking room. We also got for the price of the room, free breakfast. The bed is very comfortable, the bathroom is reasonable size and they even provided extra towels in the cabinet.

A bit far from center but easily accessible by U-Bahn and S-Bahn. Very clean and in good condition. Free WLAN only in lobby and was slow... Low cost breakfast alternatives at nearest U-Bahn. Excellent price/quality, though.

Beautiful hotel with lovely dining room. Unbelievably large buffet breakfast with hot and cold items, included in the rate. Free WI-FI. Clean, pretty rooms. It was in an area with no real action and no close restaurants. Efficient staff.

this was a new hotel. Excellent value. It was a little too far from the convention center. A 15 min walk to the subway. No problem if the weather cooperates.
Overall, I would recommend it.

Clean and comfortable room, friendly service 10 mins to walk to the underground, like 10 mins to drive with car to the middle of Berlin. Perfect for a short trip and sightseeing trip. There could have been more parkings, the rest was pretty good!

The hotel was excellent but the following advice might be helpful:
1. If you like firm pillows, bring your own; the hotel pillows are like beanbags.
2. the fitness studio is free and you can get the key from reception however there are no dumbbells, barbells, etc.
3. The UK guidebooks we had were useless for public transport systems--just ask reception for a proper map. The tram stop to Alexanderplatz is Hohenschönhauser Str./Weißenseer Weg which is just north of the hotel along Weißenseer Weg. Take an M5 or M6.

Hôtel « Berlin Est » par excellence, excentré du centre ville actuel mais accès "facile" en tramway (il faut comprendre le réseau).
Chambre grande, lits confortables, SdB très propre.
Grand parking en bas de l’hôtel, non gardé.
Petit déjeuner (buffet international) excellent. Très bons pains et croissants.
Personnel très agréable mais il faut parler un peu allemand ou anglais.

Das Hotel hat gute Anschlussverbindungen ins Zentrum. Das Zimmer war gross, ein Riesenbad, modern, sehr sauber und einfach eine Wohlfühloase. Das Frühstücksbuffet war reichhaltig und die einzelnen Speisen waren auch qualitativ sehr lecker.

I have stayed with this hotel chain before and they are excellent , the hotel was clean , modern and very comfortable with excellent faclilities - a superb roof top bar with magnificent views , excellent breakfast choice and good restaurant - the room was very clean and comfortable - the location was good once your worked out the trams - about 10 mins to the centre , but supoerbly located for the s-bahn station - not alot in the immediate vicinity of the hotel so you do need to use the trams if you want to find good restaurants - i would definately stay here again and have no hesitation in recommending it to others!

Horrible bartender ruins sleep

Our stay at this hotel was awful. NOT RECOMMENDED. When we got there they had booked us into the wrong rooms, luckily there was a spare room for us to stay in so we were moved. Unfortunately this room was above the restaurant-bar. They have a licence to play music until 2am. The bartender who works there, an incredibly rude and disagreeable man, had the music up to ridiculous levels for our entire stay. Our fifth night we went to the restaurant where we waited for 2 hours to be served our meal. Not only did we have to wait but we struggled to hear each other over the music!!! I asked the DJ if he would mind turning the bass down as we were sleeping directly above, he grumpily turned it a notch down. We returned upstairs and after 20 minutes the music was at an eardrum bursting level to the point it felt like we were in a club! I went downstairs and asked him if he would mind turning it down a little bit as we were trying to get some rest for a tour in the morning. He turned it off, shouted at me and continued with insults as to my age and how I should have paid for a room in the HOTEL rather than a HOSTEL (I am 21 years old and a student and therefore unfortunately lack the funds to pay for something more luxurious). I was discriminated against because of my age and because the bartender wanted to be the next David Guetta. After relating this to reception, we were moved at 3am to another room. The next day we saw the bartender and he saw us and gave us looks that could kill! I was astounded that after hearing other people had complained not only about the noise but about the bartender´s behaviour that this man was not fired. I had a very unpleasant experience in this hotel. AVOID.

Das Hotel liegt direkt an der U-Bahn-Haltestelle Samariterstrasse und ist in ca. 10 Minuten vom Alexanderplatz erreichbar. So ist das Hotel also eine gute Ausgangslage für einen Städtetrip.
Obwohl wir ein Nichtraucherzimmer gebucht hatten, roch es im Zimmer etwas nach Rauch und der aufgestellte Aschenbecher liess darauf schliessen, dass es sich um ein Raucherzimmer handelte. Nach einmaligem Lüften war die Luft aber gut und wir haben nichts mehr gerochen.
Die Zimmer sind sehr sauber und wohnlich eingerichtet und reichen gut aus für einige Tage in Berlin. Teilweise hörte man die Zimmernachbarn, ansonsten war es aber sehr ruhig, obwohl das Hotel an einer befahrenen Strasse steht. Das Hotelpersonal war sehr hilfsbereit und freundlich.
Das Morgenessen haben wir nicht in Anspruch genommen. Dieses kostet jeweils 9 Euro pro Person.

Nice hotel for long weekend.

We stayed 3 days in Berlin in September. Hotel was good. Rooms were clean and cleaners visited everyday in time. Staff was nice and speaked good english. I think this is good hotel for few days stay. It takes about 20 minutes to be in Alexanderplats with tram.

The Holiday Inn Landsberger Allee was very nice except for one thing. The food there was too expensive and they did not offer any cheap alternatives. The only breakfast offered was a very nice but expensive buffet, but who wants a full buffet every morning, assuming one can afford it. All we wanted was coffee and a roll or pastry; for this we had to walk several blocks to a nearby supermarket which also included its own bakery, where we were able to get the coffee and pastry we wanted. Also, there were no close-by restaurants. When the supermarket was closed on Sundays and holidays, we had to walk several blocks to the tram and take it several miles to find a restaurant. The bright spot was that the public transportation system is excellent, so we never had to wait more than a few minutes for the tram.

This is an excellent property with very good public transportation connections and is highly recommended for groups, as well as solo travelers.
1010 UL The bright coloured building has an attractive facade dating from 1900. Close to the famous Alexanderplatz - center of the former eastern part of Berlin, this hotel is located on a quiet side street within a residential area. The next U-Bahn stop, Samariter Strasse, is within 2 minutes' walking distance.

Alle Mitarbeiter, sei es an der Rezeption, beim Frühstück, die Perlen des House Keeping haben nur eins "Smiley" und eine natürliche Freundlichkeit gepaart mit einer unaufdringlichen Hulfsbereitschaft, dass der mehrtägige Aufenhalt wieder mal eine Freude war. Das Agon wird langsam aber sicher unser Stammhotel in Berlin.

Great hotel at a budget cost - location great for the U-Bahn and for restaurants. Buffet breakfast includes eggs and frankfurters and has a good range for a cold buffet. Hotel looked to be newly refurbished - in excellent condition. Only issue was the cost of Wi-fi - 13 euros for 24 hours. Really this should be free in any hotel nowadays.

The worst lodging experience in my 48 years. I am a very seasoned traveler, 50 countries, many types of lodging. Hands down the poorest run place ever. I prepaid two months in advance for a private "family room" 5 nights stay only to have that unavailable upon arrival. No compensation offered, had to take a dorm room. Also pre-paid for breakfast included, manager had no record of that and did not honor. Rooms very spartan, reasonably clean but noisy as could be. German students ignored unenforced 10pm quiet time curfew and kept whole building and neighbors up past 1 am every night. Many complaints from all, yet no change in noise. The final straw was when the manager removed our belongings from our room a day early, tossed them in garbage bags and stored thinking we were supposed to check out, then resold our room to other travelers. After much heated discussion we had our room back that final night only to have other travelers key into our room at 12 midnight after the night manager booked other guest in our room! This place is not worth staying, look elsewhere. Regret staying here when nicer places for same cost available. I will say the East Berlin locations are fine and safe, although a bit run down vs West Berlin. Also cannot check in before 4 pm. Another Big minus.

Very good hotel. Quiet, safe area. Distance from center not a problem - 7 stops on the train - 20 mins. Train station a block (2 min walk) away.
Breakfast ok buffet. Nice restaurant in evening, smallish buffet on weekends. Very nice staff. Would definately stay here again.

Sehr angenehmes Hotel mit freundlichem Personal nahe am Zentrum des Ostens. Super Frühstücksbuffet und ein wunderbares Restaurant mit geschmackvollem Wintergartenambiente und Glasdach.Wir hatten wenig Zeit und konnten die Wellnesseinrichtungen nicht nutzen. KOmmen gerne wieder !

Wir haben uns in dem Hotel sehr wohl gefühlt, gut eingerichtete und geräumige Zimmer, Sauberkeit bestens. Das Personal an der Rezeption ist sehr freundlich und dienstbeflissen. Das Hotel liegt außerhalb des Zentrums, doch es gibt gute Parkmöglichkeiten direkt am Hotel und zur U-Bahn Station sind es nur 3 Min. Fußweg. Von dort erreicht man die Innenstadt ohne umzusteigen. Wir würden das "Abacus Tierpark" beim nächsten Aufenthalt in Berlin wieder buchen.
