Papeete Vacation

Comfortable and pleasant room with a good view but the roar and crashing of the ocean was very loud and constant all night long. Internet was available but only in the lobby and was sporadic at best. The on property restaurant was expensive and only so-so in quality. Staff was friendly and helpful. Property has a large, beautiful pool and good outdoor seating close to the black sand beach. Strong currents in the ocean so only pool swimming recommended.

The Radisson is a bit old but has an excellent location. It is surrounded by residential areas and there are no shops or resturants nearby. Be prepared for very high prices in the resturant. The sun is VERY HOT in February even though the air temperature is 86 degrees, it feels much hotter in the sun. The Radisson is a good place to "get away from it all" if that is what you want to do.

The Tahiti Airport Motel is located in front of Tahiti Faa'a International Airport. At only 5 minutes walk from the terminal it is also close to the local transportation services. For a greater comfort, all the rooms as well as the corridors are entirely non-smoking. The establishment is ideal for passengers in transit or for long-term stay. It offers a panoramic view over the lagoon and the Moorea Island. The motel provides also other services like luggage boxes and a basement parking lot for 14 cars. It is a very comfortable place which proposes 46 units in double, twins, family rooms and one adapted to the people with reduced mobility. The hotel offers Lobby, Reception and Smoke-free hotel.

Even though you can see this hotel from the airport I would still recommend taking a taxi there. You will be dripping sweat walking up a hill with all your luggage. AC barely works.

We needed to overnight in Papeete before catching an early morning flight to an outer island. The location of this motel is perfect. We walked from the airport lobby to the motel (a few hundred yards). They had a small breakfast in the morning. The room was clean and fine.

Slated for spring 2009 opening, the Manava Suite Resort Tahiti promises to be the premier Papeete resort for business and leisure travelers alike, offering 121 guest rooms ranging from superior rooms to multi-bedroom duplex suites and apartments. Consistent with the South Pacific Management portfolio and decorated by Tahitian architect/designer Bruno Hervochon, all guest rooms will reflect authentic Polynesian décor, while still offering contemporary amenities and the comfort of home. With state-of-the-art technology and in-suite kitchen quarters, each room will offer a luxurious, well-appointed home base for travelers of all kinds, from business travelers staying for a week, to leisure travelers en route to the outer islands. The four-star resort will encompass five separate buildings, with the first housing the reception area, restaurant, meetings rooms and 12 guest rooms, and the additional four housing 109 guest rooms on 3 floors. In addition, the resort will feature two bars, a restaurant, a fitness center and the island's largest infinity swimming pool facing the lagoon and nearby island of Moorea. Quiet and Accomodating

Our favorite aspect of the hotel is that it was quiet. There's no late night partying and craziness, and it's a simplistic and relaxing atmosphere. The excursion oppportunities are abundant and yet you can come back to a quiet and peaceful abode. Elegant, modern furnishings, friendly staff, lovely in every way.

This was a nice, clean, modern hotel near Papeete. We stayed one night each at the beginning and end of our Polynesian holiday. It was a great place to "chillax"! Pool was fantastic and views were amazing!
