A great location, 2 blocks from Notre Dame and the Pantheon. Also close to great shopping, Boulevard St. Michel and rue St. Germain. Very clean but small rooms. We were promised a double bed, but got 2 twin beds pushed together. Very expensive breakfast. Sweet little cafes in the neighborhood. No computer for us to use, but free wi-fi if you have your own. helpful friendly staff.

Let me begin by saying that all hotels in Paris are miniscule. This one was no exception. It was just big enough to house my wife and I along with our belongings. Had we invited a guest to share a drink in the room, we would have had to glue him to the ceiling.
That said, the decor and layout was lovely and the bed was reasonably comfortable. The lobby is cozy, and the staff is friendly. I did, however, have a problem with the wake up call service. On two of our five nights no call was placed and we overslept.
Bring an alarm.
The location in perfect: right near the Pantheon and within 2 blocks of St. Michel's commercial district, the Sorbone, the Latin quarter, and St. Severin.
Overall highly recommended for location and value.

from the moment we checked-in from a very tiring journey,we we're amazed by julian,the receptionist who have a very pleasant and professional way of welcoming tourist.the room was very quiet 24/7 and best maintained the cleanliness by a non-speaking staff but very friendly lina.lots of shops and restaurants nearby and two metro station just a minute walk away from the hotel,notre dame is a 10 minute walk and musee de luve a20 minute walk as well.the room is a bit small but what can you expect in a big city like paris where space are expensive.definitely i would recommend this hotel to others..keep up the good work julian,jerome,lina and all the staff...many thanks...

I found my stay at this hotel perfect for what I needed. It is positioned in the latin quarter which was perfect for walking to and from everything I wanted to see with perfect access to all. The staff spoke English, which was wonderful and were perfectly accommodating. Very pleasant and helpful. The hotel has an elevator, a plus! Some reviews complained about noise on street but my room was on the street and I loved it!

Hotel Academie was better than hoped for. The location, 2 blocks from the Seine, 4 blocks from the Louvre Museum, was excellent. Going in the other direction, Metro was 2 blocks away, great cafes and stores for shopping. Great chocolate shop next door, expensive but great quality.
Staff all spoke English well, were very helpful and pleasant. The only drawback in 5 nights was the cleaning person did not leave new rolls of toilet paper or new shampoo the last 2 days, we ran out of both.
Room was small, but comfortable, and who stays there for very long anyway. Just to sleep, bathe, and change clothes. Bathrooms were fine, had jacuzzi tub and needed it after long days of Louvre, and other explorations.

We stayed in this hotel over Easter 2012.
We found this hotel to be extremely comfortable with very friendly and helpful English speaking staff.
Our room wasn't very big, but it was spotlessly clean and the bed was extremely comfortable allowing for good sleep. The shower room was tiny and I could just about fit in the shower! There are bigger rooms, but we were very happy with ours.
We didn't hear any other guests apart from when they allowed their doors to slam. Other than that it was very peaceful.
The location of this hotel is perfect for getting around. It took us about 10 minutes to walk to the Musée d’Orsay and about 15 minutes to walk to the Notre Dame. The little side streets of Saint Germain are really charming with lots of restaurants and cafes.
We found the metro station at Rue de Bac ( approx 7 mins walk) to be the easiest to get to anywhere in the city.
The receptionist ordered a shuttle bus to take us back to the airport on our last day.
We will definitely recommend this hotel to our friends and hope to return again very soon.

We had two rooms, the room for two was very comfortable but the single was very cramped. Elevator was very small, it could only accommodate one passenger and his suitcase. The staff was friendly and very accommodating.

The Melia Colbert Hotel is a great home base while you're in Paris. Located across the river from the Notre Dame Cathedral, it's also very close to the Cluny (Musée national du Moyen Age), Shakespeare & Co., tons of cafés, the only comic book stores I saw in Paris, and public transportation. The staff is pretty friendly, with one smarmy guy in the mix--though, he's actually quite hilarious. We did not take advantage of the breakfast, but there are loads of options nearby--as the "smarmy guy" said to someone "why don't you enjoy a coffee in my little town?"

We really enjoyed our stay here, and would stay here again when we return to Paris. Conveniently located near two metro stops, and a short walk from Notre Dame, and the charming market/ restaurant area of St. Severin. Everything we needed was a short walk away. For two women travelling, this location seemed very safe, and the staff at reception was very helpful. Enjoyed the continental breakfast each morning--one less stop we had to make on our busy days of sightseeing, shopping, etc.

Very good small hotel. The staff is very helpfull. Clean rooms, comfortable beds, inroom climate control that actually works!! and walking distance to many nice restaurants, bars and metro stations. Really there is nothing to complain about.

What a wonderful place to stay. Near subways and trains. riendly, helpful staff who all spoke English. Rooms were small but extremely comfortable and clean. Complimentary wine each evening just added to the friendly warm atmosphere. We would recommend this place to anyone.

If any hotel deserved a fresh, modern appearance it was the Lenox Hotel in Paris. All the rooms were recently renovated in an elegant style worthy of a luxury establishment. The decor of the lounge and bar are perfectly in tune with the architecture of the building and the district where hotel is located.

Wonderful location - Easy acess to prime tourists sites with a small neighborhood feel. This area of St. Germain de Pres has many brasseries/restaurants, antique shops and brand name shopping stores all within a few blocks. The staff was very courteous and helpful - even suggesting locations to visit during our stay.
Would definetly recommend and stay here again.

The Hotel Lenox staff are some of the most kind, helpful reception hosts I have seen in travels to 34 countries. The hotel is perfectly situated to walk to metros, Laduree for macaroons, Notre Dame, the Seine, dozens of beautiful galleries, shops, cafes and restaurants. Denis, in reception, helped us secure a very hard-to-get reservation with a view of Paris, told us about special exhibitions, where to find the perfect crepes (Montparnasse, of course!), arranged on-time and on-budget taxis, and was efficient, pleasant, and a joy to see every day. The rooms were very small but clean---this is Paris, so the rooms will be small--but the bathrooms were immaculate. The hotel is tucked away off a couple main streets, which means you'll have a quiet, peaceful sleep and can go out and about when you want more energy and action. There's a cozy bar area, a lift, and a lovely reception lounge that made us feel welcome and appreciated as guests. I will stay here every time I visit, from now on, because the location, the staff and the tips on really special things to do made one of our many trips to Paris so much fun. I am an American living in Brussels, and I have never felt more taken care of by the French. Can't wait to go back!

Nous avons pris cet hôtel en dernière minute, à première vue nous avons été choque de voir la façade délabrée, elle était en rénovation et nous n'avions pas été prévenu mais une fois à l'intérieur il est chic et moderne, la chambre est équipée du nécessaire, télé, sèche cheveux, lit confortable par contre il y avait une petite couette pour chacun au lieu d'une grande pour deux. Nous n'avons pas pris le petit déjeuner qui était cher.
Nous avons passe une bonne nuit dans un bon hotel à recommander mais plutôt quand les prix sont en promo ..

I don't spend much time in my room in Paris; the rooms were small but well-appointed, very comfortable and lacking nothing.
Staff was very helpful, but be sure to ask how the lights operate. Until I realized I needed to insert the room key into the slot on the wall, I couldn't turn on the lights in my room!

I cannot believe we stayed in the same place that some of the negative reviewers described. We thoroughly enjoyed our comfortable stay and buffet breakfasts but we were not expecting robes, slippers and room service. So don't stay here if you want to stay in the hotel room, swim in the pool or exercise on the equipment(walking was sufficient for us) during your trip to Paris.

Room was smaller than we expected. We had a Triple. beds were very comfortable. Rain shower was great. WiFi reception was very good. You couldn't beat the location. Central to everything!

I booked this hotel based on its ratings, which were accurate for the most part. The rooms are pretty small and the streets are noisy on Friday and Saturday nights. However, you are hardly in the room while in Paris anyway. The rooms were very clean, and almost all of the people at the front desk were very helpful. And the best part about the hotel is its location. You can walk to almost all of the major attractions. Would definitely recommend, and would definitely stay again.

The room was great! Bed was extremely comfortable and a stones throw from Saint-Placide station. The bathroom was annoying, every time I took a shower the bathroom floor was completely soaked, and there was a see through, sliding door on it, but not bad enough for me to not like it, just not my taste. Staff was extremely helpful and spoke English very well, and we're very patient with me trying out my French as well! Overall, would stay here again in a heartbeat, but probably ask for more towels because of the annoying bathroom situation.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. ALWAYS A SMILE, A BONJOUR, AND SPOKE PERFECT FRENCH AND ENGLISH! The rooms are small, but not too small. Who comes to Paris to sit in their rooms anyway? The location is right next to the Sorbonne, 5 minute walk to the Metro and to Notre Dame, good food, etc.
The price was spot on. This is a mid-range hotel and the pricing was appropriate.
We will be back!

Quirky, but alright.

The hotel itself is in a great location and the room was pretty decent. It's a few blocks from Notre Dame and was recently renovated; perhaps a little strangely (carpet on the second floor is made to look like bricks). Free wifi was also a plus. The staff was pretty friendly and the place was clean.
They make you leave your key at the door, which after having my camera stolen on the train weirded me out a little, but that could just be me.
I will say that the biggest reason problem were the bathrooms; they afford NO privacy. The room we were in featured a toilet in a glass enclosure and while you may not have been able to see through it on the side facing the bathroom, you could see shadows through the walls and you could hear everything. The stall was also small enough that my 5'2 girlfriend was even banging her knee's/elbows on the walls.
I'd book the hotel again, but not without calling to make sure we got a room with a more private bathroom. I'd suggest that the small rooms are not for any more than one person.

The room was nice enough but the guy at the front desk was less than friendly/helpful, internet access only worked when I walked way down the hallway by the elevator and the entire hotel did not have one iron to borrow. I wouldn't recommend this to anyone.

Alles freundlich und in Ordnung. Frühstück kann man sich allerdings sparen, da hierfür nur ein Kelleraum neben dem winzigen Pool geboten wird - eben mit der Wärme und feuchten Luft eines gut geheizten Pools. Das ganze für 14 € pro Nase für eine typische franz. Kleinigkeit. Dann lieber für ein paar Euros in den Restaurants um die Ecke - da gibts genug von.
Lage: Saint Germain - kleine Gassen, viele Restaurants - gemütlich wie eine Kleinstadt in der Großstadt.

Decent, but room for improvement

The hotel is cramped (as are many hotels in Paris). The hotel did provide "free" breakfast and a glass of champagne. Location is great and the rooms are clean.
My main complaint is from an incident with the staff. I called the front desk the night prior to leaving, requesting a late checkout. The gentleman said it would be no problem at all. The next day, the front desk stopped me and asked why I had not checked out. The man proceeded to give me attitude about this. I told him my conversation with the staff the night prior, but he said that I should have known better than to check with the night crew desk staff. He was pretty nasty about this. He did apologize later, but I did not appreciate that he treated a customer in this manner.

Perfect Paris location

The Bellroy St. Germain was the ideal Paris location. Very close to several Metro stations and plenty of excellent restaurants nearby. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. The first room we had faced an internal lightwell (and brick wall). We asked for another room and the next day another became available and we were allowed to move. The rooms were somewhat small with minimal closet or storage space. The biggest issue was that neither of the safes in either room work. The hotel staff staff could not get them to work and they could not find the key to the main safe behind the desk. We felt a bit vurnable not having our document and cash / credit cards unsecured during our stay. Fortunately nothing happened. Otherwise it was a great location and I would stay and reccommend others to stay at the Bellroy St. Germain.
