Great location, the rest is just ok

If you want to stay near the Louvre, then this is your ticket. From our room, 305, we could actually see right into the museum. Also, there is a metro entrance probably 50 meters from the front entrance to the hotel; 5 meters from the back door.
Also, we had a real king size bed with a decent size (by Paris standards) room - this was not a suite, just a deluxe room. The free wifi worked fine.
Now for the so so part. The 2nd day that we were there, housekeeping left no toilet paper. It took 3 calls to the front desk to resolve the problem. Also, the hot water from the shower goes hot to cold to hot while you are taking your shower. Food in the hotel is very high priced and nothing to write home about. However, with all the great places within 5 to 10 minutes from the hotel, who cares. We were on the 4th floor (American standards) and could still hear the metro trains running early morning, but it wasn't terrible. That may come from being on the east side of the hotel facing the entrance to the metro bleow.

The location was amazing. Everything was convenient from there and metro stop right outside the door, convenient walking to many museums, great restaurants, bistros and landmarks. Hotel Bar had great wine selection. Room was ready when we arrived 3 hours early and was large, well appointed including refrigerator and air conditioning. Bathroom was amazing with large tub, seperate shower stall, 2 sinks, etc. Would definately go back there to stay.

Timhotel Palais Royal is a centrally located hotel just down the street from the Bourse (stock exchange). The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and adequately furnished (not too small like some other hotels in Paris). This hotel is so centrally located, I found myself walking most of the time instead of using the metro. I would definitely stay here again.

Great Paris location

My wife and I spent 4 nights at the Westin and enjoyed it. The location is simply fantastic. The room we had was very large and comfortable. The staff was also very friendly and, though I speak some French, were all fluent in English. I would very much recommend this hotel and given this is our 4th time in Paris, we have a sense as to what should be expected. This is better than most.

We could not have been more pleased with our stay at this Westin. The rooms are large for European standards and well appointed. Gorgeous chandelier and iPod docking station. The room was spotlessly cleaned every day. It's located literally across he street from the louvre, central to anywhere you want to go in Paris. Amazing restaurants are just steps away. We would absolutely stay here again and are recommending it to friends. Have a glass of champagne in the fabulous courtyard. Only negative- the concierge staff not overly helpful. Ask the front desk staff instead if you need anything.

A Good Choice

We stayed here at the end of November. Both my husband & I agree, we would stay here again. The location and the friendly staff made all the difference. There was a metro station nearby (Pyramides), we were walking distance from the Louvre, the Opera Palais Garnier, and many shops, and cafes (including a Monoprix, where you can get everything from clothing to a new memory card for your digital camera to groceries--like a super Target). Of course you are also right next to many "high end" stores as well. We also were able to walk to the Musee d'Orsay, just across the river, and probably could have walked to Notre Dame, although we opted for the Metro on that one. The staff was always friendly and helpful--they made dinner reservations for us, printed out directions to various places for us and made us feel welcome. The room was very small (as are Paris hotel rooms) but it had a double sized bed, an armoir, and desk, the bathroom was also small, but functional. If you are looking for a grand place, this is not the choice for you...it is not particularly fancy. It is worn, but clean. We were on the first floor (which is really the 2nd) and they must have really thick windows b/c I was worried about street traffic noise, and really didn't hear a thing. The only negative thing I have to say about our hotel room is that there was only one outlet, which was inconvenient for digital cameras and ipods and such. The room did have A/C and heater units, but we never needed either--the room was always comfortable. I'd describe this hotel as a sensible choice.

My boyfriend and I stayed at this hotel for a long weekend. From the moment we arrived to our departure, the staff could not have been more friendly, helpful, and professional. The lobby of the hotel was elegant, chic, and perfectly understated. We arrived several hours prior to check in and our room was ready. Our room was small, as expected, but lovely. The only downside of the room was, given the size, there was very little room to unpack, and the closet was awkward to access. There is a great spa/pool area, with a sauna/steam room which was amazing. It was a great place to relax after exploring Paris for hours. The concierge was very helpful with dinner reservations. We were hoping to try the restaurant in the hotel, but we waited until our last night to try it, not realizing it is closed on Sundays. The staff speaks English.
If you are looking for a personal, chic, boutique style hotel, look no more.... we look forward to returning.

Best place to stay on the right bank if you are shopping or hopping between the palace hotels. Most boutique hotels look fine from the lobby but are horrid upstairs. Here, the room and bathroom were decent sized and nicely appointed, although not grand. The biggest drawback was the poor TV channel selection.
The staff went out of their way to be helpful and even left a note and small box of candy wishing guests a happy new year. I have stayed in all the high-end hotels in the area for new year's and never once received a note like this.
Definitely recommend and will stay here again if the price is right.

The hotel Regina is across the street from the Louvre and the Tuillerie Gardens. It is perfectly positioned for all tour buses to leave from. The rooms are large and comfortable. You have a great view in the distance of the Eiffel Tower, and this; especially at night is gorgeous. I would recommend this hotel to anyone. The windows open so you can hear the buzz of Paris all around you, if you like that. It is also near the Metro station, 1/2 block. I cannot wait to return. Matthew, Orlando, FL

Wonderful Honeymoon Stay

Had a lovely room on the top floor with veiw to Palais Royal and city skyline. There is a lift or stairs to get to the room. Good location in close proximity to The Louvre and other sights. Service was excellent. No problems with speaking english. There is a small fridge in the room with drinks. There are no tea or coffee making facilities in the room so had to order room service or go out, which is a bit sad :o( There were plenty of places to get coffee/tea/ meals all of good quality and plenty very close to Hotel. Breakfast in the hotel was great with pastries, yoghurt, Fruit, coffee/tea/juice, Breadrolls ham and salami...Yum :o) We hired a Vespa, Left Bank Scooters delivered to the hotel and toured all the sights..really good fun with scooter parking just the other side of the road opposite the hotel entry.
Shops in the area are plentiful and are the small boutique type stores selling anything you would want. We did go to Galleries Lafayette which is a large mall type centre, set out in sections by brand.
Our 1st trip to Paris and Europe. We loved it.

Excellent overall value

Don't expect a hotel with all the bells and whistles here, but you will get what really matters: a clean room, friendly staff, a good location and an affordable price. The hotel was about a 10-15 minute walk from The Louvre, minutes from a large number of places to eat, and really not that far from other key places to visit.
Given how much other hotels can cost in Paris, this hotel was an excellent balance of affordability and value. The front desk was friendly and arranged tours and cabs when needed and always followed up to make sure we had everything we needed. The location was safe and relatively quiet as well.
The only two minor (and these are minor) complaints are that the breakfast they offered for 13 Euro was a joke. But, given you're not far from real food (or even a McDonald's for a quick and easy breakfast, if necessary), you shouldn't feel trapped to pay for it. The other limit was the "view". There is none. But given we were only in the hotel to sleep and wash up, who really cares?
Also, as a bonus, this hotel did have an individual A/C unit that you could control. From looking around, this is rather rare in most Paris hotels at this price range. It was definitely nice to have in the middle of July.
I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel to anyone. If you're just looking for a place to crash between activities and don't need to be pampered, I would start looking here.

Spectacular location, beautiful hotel, great service
- chicagosurfer

We really enjoyed our stay at the Park Hyatt in Paris over New Year. We were traveling with a baby and the hotel provided not only a crib but also a bath and a bottle warmer. The rooms are beautiful, with dramatically high ceilings (at least on 2nd and 3rd floors). We'd booked a standard room; the first night we arrived we had a room facing one of the inside courts, but we requested for a room facing Rue de la Paix and the next day we were able to move into an awesome room with a view down to Place Vendome and its own balcony, fantastic. I'd definitely recommend requesting a Rue de la Paix view room, and give the hotel a call the morning of your arrival to confirm if possible. My only slight negative comment is that the concierge seemed very focused on getting us into one particular restaurant, Vin Chai Moi, which seems to be one that a lot of hotel concierges send people to. I would have hoped for more thoughtful advice about nearby restaurants. They were able to lend me a copy of the Michelin guide however, which helped. Overall highly recommended, one of my best ever hotel stays.

Hotel Therese was very clean and ideally located near my son's apartment. We enjoyed the tiny lobby bar. Breakfast was adequate--French style croissants or American cereal. Our only complaint was the size of the room. It was extremely small although immaculate. I would recommend it and would stay there again.

Terrible Ending

Traveler
- Sep 12, 2010
The room, location, etc of the hotel were fine. Our problem came when we tried to check out to catch our plane. They wouldn't let us take care of our bill the night before so we asked for an early wake-up call for the next morning. They didn't call our room but called someone else's instead. Then when we went down to check out the clerk was struggling to take the payment from two other guests. It took him 30 minutes and much confusion on his part to finish them. He actually went outside to help them deal with the fact that he had not called a cab as they had requested so after waiting we had to go outside to see if he would check us out. Again he was inept as he didn't know how to record our points, and refused to acknowledge that we had already paid for the rooms [...] He made us pay again for our room, which we did because we needed to catch out flight to the US. We did receive a credit from the hotel right away[...]

Most of the staff was very friendly, however not able to accommodate requests for ice or water. The breakfast was expensive - 15 euros - most area restaurants served the same meal for half the price. My room didn't have a shower, but a very small tub with a shower head attachment. I asked to changed rooms, but was told another was not available.
