the appartment rooms are really nice, big and clean. suit family with young children. the only problem is that if you book more than 3 nights they are not cleaning the room - just once a week. means that for 4,5,6 nights - no cleaning (unless you pay for extra).

Baroque meets contemporary design in the heart of Paris Ares Eiffel merges baroque and contemporary style in a chic boutique setting. Every room makes a statement, starting with the shimmery breakfast room decked out in red scroll chairs, to the guest rooms, which focus on texture, lighting and high-end accents by European designers. Visitors also have access to a nearby fitness facility. Highlights Luxury boutique hotel within walking distance to the Eiffel TowerMultiple transportation options nearbyDesigner European furnishings in rooms, including Versace tiles and Poltrona Frau furnitureBreakfast buffet served daily Location Travelers whose itinerary includes stops at the Eiffel Tower and Trocadero find Ares Eiffel a convenient choice--both landmarks are within walking distance from the hotel. Multiple transportation options, from the Metro to the bus, operate nearby as well. Rooms Ares Eiffel sparkles with European elegance in rooms fit for fans of the boutique chic aesthetic. Bold patterns--like gold jacquard and brown scroll prints--play with soft textures to create gilded glamour. Furniture by Italian brand Poltrona Frau and designer tile by Versace enhance the chic accents, including the unique TV stands holding up the Bang & Olufsen flat-screen. Guests choose from classic, executive, deluxe and superior layouts, which count Internet access, mini bar, safe and room service as common amenities. Dining Ares Eiffel proves that style does not have to come in large packages. The breakfast room, where guests dine on cereal, Kaiser Viennese pastries and fruit salad from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m. daily, sparks with visual pop thanks to stark white walls with raised scroll vines winding throughout, dark scroll floors and red scroll chairs. A spacious lounge featuring chairs by Italian brand Poltrona Frau and handcrafted cocktails pours on parlor appeal. Recreation Ares Eiffel ensures that guests have access to exercise facilities during their trip. A nearby gym equipped with cardio and weight machines, plus a Hamman and sauna, invites visitors to work out and pamper at no extra charge. The property is equal parts contemporary and quaint, with a fireplace in the lobby, breakfast served daily in a rock-walled, vaulted room and stunning views of the Eiffel Tower from some superior rooms. The hotel is also steps from Les Invalides, a collection of museums and monuments celebrating military history. Highlights Left Bank hotel next to Les InvalidesContemporary rooms with views of avenues Lowendal, Duquesne or the Eiffel TowerContinental breakfast buffet Location Leisure travelers will log many steps on their pedometers from Hotel Duquesne Eiffel, which calls the 7th arrondissement on the Left Bank home. Should business call for a visit to Paris, target Hotel Duquesne for its proximity to UNESCO and various government ministries. Rooms A renovation at Hotel Duquesne Eiffel upgraded rooms to capture a contemporary aesthetic driven by crushed red velvet leaf bedding, striped curtains and handsome black headboards. Comfort rooms face Avenue Lowendal or Avenue Duquesne and can be connected upon request should guests be traveling with family members. - Jan 20, 2011
The staff were friendly and spoke English quite well. Rooms small just like rest of Paris. Bathrooms renovated, shower only. Our room did not face the Eiffel tower but was very quiet. Breakfast was ok but lots of other places nearby were better. Free wifi. Can walk to most attractions such as D Orsay, Louvre, Eiffel Tower. Use the buses they are cheap and convenient. Bus 69 to Louvre, Pompidou and Notre Dame. Pick up near Eiffel Tower. Transfer to Bus 74 near Louvre to go to Montmartre. Walk over to left bank see Latin quarter and take Bus 87 home to within 50 yards of Duquesne. Overall a great stay. Borrow... knife fork and plate from kitchen for your cheese and bread.

Pricey But Well Worth It

Lorene...loves traveling
- Jul 20, 2011
We requested a renovated room with an Eiffel Tower view. When we arrived, they said at that moment we have a room with a tower view but not a renovated one. They did offer one but would have to wait about an hour. No problem for us. We did read reviews that were unfavorable before we arrived and was apprehensive, but we had a very nice and helpful front desk person, Hiro.
The room was great! Have been in Paris before and new most rooms are tiny. The shower was roomy with a fancy "rain forest" type shower head. We had a frig with water, orange juice, and colas, which are free.
Every morning we wake up with the awesome Eiffel Tower right there to admire...can't beat that for anything. Every night we saw it light up and sparkle. We'll always remember this hotel and room for sure!

Good location, Rude Staff

Steps away from Eiffel Tower, Business hotel, we were told different things by different members of the staff, example - 1 said breakfast was included in our stay, another said it wasn't.... staff was some what rude and unwilling to help with our needs and seemed very unknowledgable about the surrounding area (ie - where the good shops and restaurants were). The walls were also dirty in the room of the hotel. The bed was very comfortable and the hotel was fine - nothing special but okay for a weekend stay.

Das Hotel ist für eine Städtereise also absolut empfehlenswert!

Ideal weekend break
- Anniversary Couple
- May 22, 2012
We had looked at lots of 3* hotels (definately not 3* in UK terms!) and could'nt find anything in our price bracket, that looked appealing, and close to the centre of Paris. All of them were small, usually down very quite uninteresting streets, were quite a distance from Metro stations, and so just didn't appeal to us at all. When we found the 4* (as above) Tour Eiffel, it was exactly what we were looking for, especially when we saw the massively impressive Eiffel Tower was in full view of the hotel and only a two minute strool from the front of the hotel. When we arrived the staff were very courtous, it was our anniversary weekend in Paris and I had told the hotel by email. We were congratulated by the receptionist which really impressed us both, and we were upgraded to a room with a view. This, I'm sure made a huge difference to our stay. Having a coffee on our balcony in the morning, looking at the Eiffel Tower was fantastic. And going to bed, another look at it all lit up was brilliant! I must say we were disappointed with the decor on our 5th floor, it was very dated and quite shabby, compared to the foyer and bar which wre totally modern . Our bedroom was first class, and couldn't have been much better in any other hotel. They supplied dressing gowns, slippers, flat screen TV, safe for valuables, shower gels were all provided as well as an ironing board and iron. There was also a mini bar which was way too expensive. The breakfasts were excellent, with a huge array of food, and a chef frying to order, including waffles. The restaurant menu for evening dinner was rubbish, very disappointing, but just accross the road from the hotel ther are three bistros, and all of them serve great food at a good price. You could also picnic at the foot of the Eiffel Tower, as we did! I would recommned this hotel, but it would definately be worth your while requesting a room from the fifth floor up (to 11) and ONLY at the front of the hotel, not the back. The view of the Eiffel Tower from the bedroom IS what sets this hotel apart from the rest. You're also only three minutes from the RER train which easily connects you to the very centre of Paris and the Metro which is brilliant and very easy to use. You can do a rapid tour of the whole City in three days, but don't expect to get into any tourist attraction without being prepared to queue for hours. Best place to spend time, in our view,is the Latin Quarter.

We're from the US so found it odd that the 1 rude employee was actually an American working at the front desk. We had asked for a later departure and the best she could manage was an extra 30 mins in the room. Her attitude spoke volumes as she seemed she could barely be bothered by our request. She didn't even greet us as we walked in from the elevator. No friendly hello or anything of the sort. At 12:25 (5 minutes before we were meant to be checking out) the phone rang in the room. It was the same employee making sure we were about to be out of the room. Really? As we proceeded downstairs (and out of the room at the scheduled time) we were again greeted by the cold and unfreindly attitude of said employee. There was no Bon Voyage or anything of the sort checking on our stay. Nice hotel, but 1 bad apple unfortunetly.

The staff was friendly and polite. The room had a contemporary feel to it and was maintained well. The room is small but I think all European rooms are small. The only complaint I had was how hot the room was. Apparently November is not quite summer and not quite winter yet so they pipe warm air throughout the hotel and it's HOT. you can't turn on the AC because it blows hot air. The only thing you can do is open the window and when people are smoking outside, the cigarette smell enters your room. The area is safe and is a very nice neighborhood. There is a street market a couple of blocks away with cafes, cheese, fish and vegetable markets. I would definitely stay here again. It was a great choice.

We just returned from Paris, having spent 8 days/nights at the Ideal Hotel. For us the was truly the ideal value. By USA standards the rooms are small but the location was excellent (very close to the Charles Michael Metro stop) and clean. We bought our Metro passes in the US, before we left, so that we took the train and Metro directly from CG Airport. With our Metro pass it was easy to travel to our business and tourist locations. The hotel is located on a corner of one of the quieter streets and our 6th room floor overlooked a beautiful garden across the street. The staff was very polite and professional. Excellent value.

(1) Fantastic location right opposite the shopping/cafe district of Rue Cler. (2) Perfectly adequate. They had a nice breakfast spread, reliable wifi, and everything was clean. (3) The building is extremely narrow and squeezed between other buildings, so my room had a window facing some kind of an interior fire escape. There was no natural light or fresh air from it, but the possibility of climbing out (or in), so it was a little creepy. DEFINITELY request a street-facing window. Without that, I don't think I would stay here again, even though the price was good

This is a very cute little Paris hotel right across from a metro. You can either walk to the Eiffel tower in 20 min, or take the metro and be there in like 3 min. Lots of nice resturants, bakeries and specialty cheese shops within walking distance. Great staff!!! The only down side was that while it does have complimentry wifi, while we were there it would not connect in the rooms and even in the main area it was very very slow. Someone was supposed to come and fix it and I know they were talking to the internet company, but nothing happened while we were there even though a tech was scheduled to come by. This was a problem for me since I was supposed to work remotely one of the days there, but the staff did everything they could to help and where on the phone with the internet company constantly.

Well for my wife and I this was an ideal location. It was right across from a train station and walking distance from the Eiffel tower which was the main attraction for us. The room had a view of the tower and was very clean. The staff was very helpful. The only bad thing about this hotel for us was that the rain fall shower should have been repaired. But for the price and location great value.

Excellent stay, easily within walking distance to Eiffel Tower, The Louvre, Musee D'Orsay, and most main attractions. The only negative I could imagine, is that taxi drivers aren't familiar with the road and location (although mentioning the Asemblee Nationale is useful). Rooms were smaller than expected, but spent very minimal time there anyways, and were comfortable nonetheless. We still had an absolutely wonderful stay at this hotel.

We stayed for one night at this hotel during a flying visit to Paris. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the hotel was lovely.
Our room was very comfortable and if I had to criticise at all the lack of tea/coffee making facilities in the room was a shame. TV also only had one English speaking channel, BBC World news, but that wasn't an issue really.
Within easy walking distance of the Arc de Triomphe and The Effel Tower with lots of bars, shops and restaurants just outside the door.
Overall a lovely hotel and I would recommend it to anyone travelling to Paris.

EXCELLENT.

Recommend for the traveler more interested in the city than the room they stay in. VERY helpful and friendly staff. 5-10 minute walk to the Eiffel Tower. View of the tower from the room. Inexpensive, great place to use just to sleep and get ready for the next day. Close to metro stops and plenty of good cafe options.

We went to france to celebrate our 1st wedding anniversary and it could not have been better. We really enjoyed being in walking distance to the eiffel tower. the hotel and its staff were great and spoke english; since our french is ok, but limited. The area surrounding the hotel was great too. there were a variety of restaurants, cafes, and shopping available in walking distance, as well as the metro station on the corner.

We enjoyed the Hotel, it was walking distance from a grocery store right behind the hotel, and it was across from a park where the statue of liberty stands. The concierge service was awesome they helped us a lot with all the experience we had, very very helpful I think those people should get a raise for being so sweet to us tourist :) Hotel was only 3 blocks from the Eiffel Tower and only two blocks each way from the Metro station and even MC, so it was at a neat location.
Only thing I did not like is we did not have a Wi-Fi in our room and that it was not mentioned in the hotel description the rates etc, they also only give you initial two hour free data in your room then they charge you. So we had to do lot of our internet task in the lobby which sometimes got very crowded because everyone was trying to save money and access internet from the lobby.
I would have appreciated if it was mentioned and the rates were mentioned when we were deciding on the hotel. Also they charged us for a bottle of water which I thought was not very nice.
Over all I give the hotel experience 4 out of 5 (very good).

Modern, Sleek, Short on Execution

Very new looking and modern compared to most hotels in Paris. However, the service/quality was a little short on follow-through. The carpet in the room was dirty, deep, stained dirty and ready to be replaced so there was nothing housekeeping could really do about it. I arrived on an overnite flight and didn't expect my room to be ready, but when it was promised at 1:00 and I showed up at 2:00 to find it not ready, then did not get in until 3:00 so I was irritated and tired. The hotel is very oriented to tourist groups, so expect a lot of bustle. Because it is a large hotel, don't expect to easily access one of the 3 working computers in the common areas to print your boarding passes, because every kid, couple and loitering guest will be in front of you. Seek out the business center or somewhere else, or do it early in the AM. Location was great, right on the Seine and walking distance to Metro and the Eiffel Tower. The elevators are normal size, and there are six, as compared to the phone-booth size single elevator you find at many European hotels. Unfortunately, like virtually every hotel I stay at, the air conditioning controls appear to be mainly for show so expect to be a bit overheated.

We stayed at 2 hotels during this trip and found this hotel to be more personal with the way French lifestyle represents. Close to the train and each corner has a market and Cafe ( The Place and Cafe' Cambronne). This is not a fancy hotel but everything you need can be asked for. But you have to ask as they don't offer. I am not sure that traveling with children and families would prefer this hotel.

The hotel was in a residential area. Very close, approximately 5-7 minutes walking distance to the metro (Cambronne)and many fantastic french restaurants. There were also a great danceclub called club L'Alize, about one block away from the hotel. Staff spoke english clearly, and were friendly. Rooms were spacious, modern, and gave adequate heat. Breakfast not included, and was pricey, about 14 euros. The elevator was not working when I visited, so I had to walk up 4 flights to my room.

Perfect Left Bank Location!

This hotel is in such a great location! Convenient to both the left and right banks of central Paris. There are good cafes and brassieries nearby. Also a small grocery, wine shop, bakery and pharmacie. The staff were welcoming and very helpful regarding restaurants, taxis, etc. The room was small but very clean and pleasant. I would stay here on my next trip and I've recommended it to friends traveling to Paris.

The hotel is located one block from the Musee D'Orsay and the Seine (river), and a short walk to the nearest Metro station. Good location. The staff was terrific--very polite, reponsive, and helpful. The room was nice (typically not big by U.S. standards, but the bed was comfortable). No view from my particular room, but that wasn't an issue for me (didn't spend much time in the room). I had read in another review about the great showers, so was little surprised to find that mine had a handheld shower; but the large and very deep bathtub was very nice. The toilet is conveniently separated from the tub/shower. Every room is different in this hotel, so others may have the different shower set-up. Housekeeping was excellent.
The breakfast buffet was nice. No complaints at all, except that in my room I would have preferred a regualar shower. Would definitely stay there again.

A Small but Worthy Hotel

The location is great. It is close to the Eiffel Tower and to key musems in Paris. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Due to remodelling we had to change rooms once, and the manager gave us free breakfast to compensate. The room was small but clean. Whenever we asked for something extra (pillows, etc.), the staff provided it pronto.

Spent but one night at the hotel but will return next year. The staff are very helpful and want to assist in helping you enjoy the city. Staff gave great instructions on using the subway. The location could not be more perfect for walking. A safe location with many restaurants available to dine. The room was clean and adequate to meet the needs. The bathroom was larger in size. We were on an upper floor. Next time I would request a room with a view of the street. We did not eat breakfast at the hotel but choose a restaurant down the street. We utilzied the subway but not the bus system. The subway stop was very close. The bus stops are everywhere. We walked to most major attractions.

Facility, Location, and Staff are excellent. Stations for three different Metro lines are within a short walk. Eiffel Tower is a brief walk along the river. My fiance and I stayed at this hotel for 3 nights and found it comfortable and in an extremely convenient location, but did not find the hotel special in the least. The staff was helpful and courteous, but there were a number of things that could have been improved upon. The most egregious problem was an enormous stain outside of our room door that appeared to be blood. Sure, it could have been Merlot, but why did it appear to be seeping out of the wall? The room itself was comfortable and clean enough, but the breakfast was very expensive for an unimpressive selection. Fortunately, there is a supermarket right across the street and there are a number of good restaurants nearby. Not the worst hotel we've stayed in, but definitely not worth the price.

Have fun. Stay in a room covered with black leather walls and put on the shower twinkle lights. Enjoy eating breakfast in an "actor's chair". Visit the (free) sauna and gym room. Yum breakfast-- eggs, sausages, bread and cheese delight, fresh fruit, coffee, juice... The room is cozy (small), but if you're with somebody you like it's all good. I highly recommend and would go back in a heartbeat.

Friendly staff that spoke great English. They provided directions and great suggestions on food places near by. About a 15 minute walk to the Eiffel tower if you walk alongside the river (can't think of the street name). Hotel was clean and very modern. Didn't see what all the hype was about Miss Monroe, but the decor was stylish and cute. Doubt if I ever see a hotel like this again. I was pleased.
