Great location for walking the heart of Paris. Easy walk to the Eiffel Tower, Les Invalides, and a pleasant walk across the Seine to the Louvre. Tryp de Saxe is on a nice, quiet, and short street which provides a quiet night. Room is nice, however, the bathroom needs some improvement.

Two plusses and a minus
-
Traveling Professor
- Jun 16, 2011
(1) Fantastic location right opposite the shopping/cafe district of Rue Cler. (2) Perfectly adequate. They had a nice breakfast spread, reliable wifi, and everything was clean. (3) The building is extremely narrow and squeezed between other buildings, so my room had a window facing some kind of an interior fire escape. There was no natural light or fresh air from it, but the possibility of climbing out (or in), so it was a little creepy. DEFINITELY request a street-facing window. Without that, I don't think I would stay here again, even though the price was good

I would stay there again

Our room was small but very clean and modern. The staff was very friendly and helpful in answering our questions (in English) and directing us to different locations in Paris. The location of the hotel was perfect, across the street from a train and metro station making for easy access to all of Paris. I highly recommend this hotel and will stay there again.

great location

- Jan 30, 2012
The rooms are fairly modest yet adequate. Only really noticeable drawback was the lack of an alarm clock and coat hangars (especially to dry off jackets from rain). The rooms were cleaned WELL everyday (as expected). There is a digital thermostat (easy to use). There seemed to be an electric towel rack, but if it was, it did not seem to work. The walls seem to be a bit thin, as you could hear the next door neighbors...not enough to fuss about, just noticeable. Our room (which faced the street) was also adjacent to a busy intersection, so there can be some noticeable noise from the traffic as well.
The convenience of the location is excellent. The metro is literally across the street (RER C and 6). And of course, the Eiffel Tower is a few blocks away.
The staff was very helpful by making a call to confirm our event activities with attraction/event companies. I just gave them the emails with the phone numbers and the staff made the phone call and confirmed the arrangements (which included sending a fax in this particular case). They went above and beyond, as I was just trying to borrow the phone.
There are several places to eat nearby as well as a grocery/convenience store.
I was very satisfied and would consider staying there again.

Bus 69 to Louvre, Pompidou and Notre Dame. Pick up near Eiffel Tower. Transfer to Bus 74 near Louvre to go to Montmartre. About a 15 minute walk to the Eiffel tower if you walk alongside the river (can't think of the street name). Hotel was clean and very modern. The chosen hotel was under rennovation and not available, but we were transferred to the Arc de Triomphe in the same Renaissance chain. On arrival, we found even this hotel not available because of retained guests, and we were transferred to the Renaissance Vendome. All of this was aggravating, but the hotel tried hard to compensate, with free breakfasts and complimentary wine. Both hotels were elegant, the traditional Vendome was our favorite, but the stylish modern Arc de Triomphe was very comfortable. Both are well situated and convenient to Metro.

Radisson Paris Eiffel

J&K

This was our first trip to Paris. The hotel had only been open for one month when we stayed there. They didn't have a sign up yet, so the driver had a hard time finding it, but once we arrived, the service was excellent. [...] and [...] did anything to make us comfortable, including getting us a reservation at a very fine restaurant. This is not in a touristy area, but very close to the Tour Eiffel, so a great jumping off point for sightseeing. The rooms are modern and very cool, but very small for us and our admittedly excessive luggage. Some of the very cool-looking appointments are not very practical, particularly the way the bath / shower is set up. If you can pack light and have no mobility challenges, the ambience and service will more than make up for the practical limitations of the room. The first night the movies on the TV didn't work, but that was really OK with me, and they had it running the next day.Our bed and breakfast package included a continental breakfast that was quite good. We did not eat other meals in the hotel and did not use pool, etc., so we can't comment on those.

The staff is very friendly but the rooms are much too small. I really did not enjoy staying there, but only because of the size. You could not even turn around in the bathroom. It was extremely uncomfortable.
I did really appreciate the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff. Everyone was great!

Comodissima per visitare parigi. la metro è a 50 mt, la zona è tranquilla. l'hotel non offre nulla di eccezionale ma non manca niente, le camere sono confortevoli e pulite e la colazione è sufficiente. Ci torneremo!

Very Modern

NAH
- Jul 11, 2011
Hotel is in a very nice section 1.5 blocks from the metr, however there are no restaurants or cafes for a few blocks. This is not in the center of the action. Staff was very professional. Very modern hotel can be a little cold and less cozy. Great for a couple or single but glass bathroom wall makes some rooms undesirable for sharing. No gym in the building. Also no in room iron or coffee maker. Not sure if it was worth the price. Would have rather stayed someplace a little less trendy in a more action packed area near St. Germaine.

We had 1 1/2 days in Paris. The nearest metro stop was literally about 100 meters. The neighborhood was clean and very close to the Eiffel Tower, yet the room was quiet of street noise. We had previously been in Italy for the past week and I had not had a good night's sleep because I am particular about pillows. The pillows at this hotel allowed me to get a full night's sleep!
The lobby had several newspapers/magazines you could borrow to read. It had a Paris guide book for walking tours which was very useful in planning my 1 day sight seeing in Paris. I would definitely stay here again.

Really nice amenities & details
-
McSquidwich
- Jun 18, 2010
This place aims to be a cross between an apartment & a hotel. I hadn't realized this when I made the reservation, but I ended up really appreciating the amenities. Room included a microwave, mini-fridge, mini-stove, sink, & pots/dishes/silverware/etc. which ends up being really convenient. There was also a shower curtain + elevated showerhead so you can shower standing up, unlike some European bathrooms which only have a bathtub + handheld showerhead. It's not a five-star hotel, but the price is good and (more importantly) the value-to-price ratio was much higher than other places I've stayed. Example: the bed here was a pull-out sofa, but the mattress & sheets were much nicer than those of the "real" bed at my last similarly-priced hotel.
Pretty much all the staff speak English. The neighborhood is really nice & quiet but also walking distance from the Eiffel Tower and the Bois de Boulogne, plus several different metro lines. FYI there didn't seem to be any daily housekeeping service, so don't trash your bathroom on the first day.

Better than I expected

On the road
- Jun 7, 2009
Location was great and short walk to the metro. The rooms were clean and spotless with all new kitchen amenities, electronics and furniture. The room itself is rather small and the sofa bed was ok. I was not in Paris to spend a lot of time in the room. So I did not mind sleeping on it. Although, it was a pain to have to fold and unfold the bed all the time. Staff was great. The lobby area, internet and food options were limited so expect to do all of that elsewhere. The price seemed reasonable for the area. I would stay again but only if on a short trip.
