The On the pro side, the Prieure hotel is clean, quiet and has great location in Chamonix.
On the con side, the hotel does not offer either complimentary parking,wi-fi or breakfast.

The housekeeping staff was friendly and kept the rooms very clean. The location was convenient. However, the front desk staff was rude and, often, unhelpful. The wireless internet (which is for fee, not included) does not reach the entire hotel. If you require internet service, be sure to ask if it is available in your room otherwise you will be traveling down to the lobby to use the internet.

Good location, right next to train station and near the heart of chamonix, reasonable pricing. The rooms are old, look like they have been refurbished a few times. Adequate accommodation without putting a smile on my face.

The location was very convienent literary right next to the train station and very close to the restaurants. Chaminox is quite easy to walk around without effort. The reception was very good and helpful. The interior of the room had the feel of a basic chalet with reasonable amount of storage for equipment. We enjoyed the balcony it was nice to just sit outside and enjoy the view and fresh air. It would have been nice if they had other facilities like sauna and spa. Overall we were happy with our stay.

Hi guys, Pleased with the location, and quiet. Although the rooms were adequate and compact it would be great if an elec kettle for late cuppas was included. We did not have a mini bar....waste of time, thank you. We did not use the pool, spa or sauna. Apart from that the desk staff we had dealings with are very helpful and considerate.

Reception opening times : From 17/12/2011 to 05/05/2012 : Main reception in the "La Rivire" building Monday to Thursday 9 am - 12 pm and 5 pm - 7 pm. Friday 9 am - 12 pm and 4 pm - 8 pm. Saturday from 8 am to 10 pm Sunday from 8 am - 12 pm and from 5 pm - 8 pm Secondary reception in the "Chamois Blanc" building Fridays from 4 pm to 8 pm Saturday from 8 am to 12 pm and 2 pm to 8 pm Sunday from 9 am to 12 pm.

Very courteous front desk staff. Room nice, albeit your typical European size room. Balcony had view of Mont Blanc. Next to little river running through the town. Two minute walk from the Aiguille-du-midi cable car (a must do in the summer if the visibility is good). Restaurant in the hotel was a bit more upscale than I expected. Fine dining; go elsewhere if you want something simpler and/or more choices. Nice little selection for the breakfast buffet.
Description
The Hotel Vallée Blanche is a family-run hotel with a warm and friendly atmosphere. The hotel is an old mill dating from the 18th century and is located on the banks of the Arve River. There are 26 spacious rooms which are, for the most part, located on the side of the hotel by the river and facing the mountains of Brévent. Some of the rooms facing Mont-Blanc have a small balcony which is very nice in the summer.

我住的34號房位置很好，有兩面大窗戶，視覺享受極佳，內部設備老舊，但是屬於很傳統的法國風味，雙人床是兩張單人拼起來的以及其中一張是斜的，這兩點我比較不滿意，但是價錢真的是很便宜，也沒什麼好挑了。

The hotel offers a private bus facility to the ski lifts. Overall it is a good fashionable property. 09/08 This modern, alpine style hotel is well known in Chamonix. The hotel is set in its own small and lovely park in the centre of the village, facing the Mont Blanc.

The staff members here were incredibly personable, very attentive... and they got laundry done for me on a Saturday (I had lost my luggage and had nothing clean to wear). The food is over-the-top incredible, the rooms are beautiful, the grounds are gorgeous, the service is impeccable -- all outstanding.

格式ある雰囲気の山のホテルでした。歴史が感じられる良さはありましたが、設備が古く、バスルームのシャワーの元が壊れていて、シャワーを使うのに苦労しました。また、上階の床を歩く音が、聞こえて気になりました。
しかし、便利な立地で雰囲気はよく、ここのレストランのお味は最高でした。

This was a very nice hotel. Gorgeous view from the balcony in the room. Very friendly and helpful staff. Not directly in Chamonix-Mont-Blanc, but a very short drive. Excellent value for the price.
