One staff member - Ludmia - was always very helpful. The rest were not interested when we complained, on each of the three mornings we were there, that tables previously used for breakfast had not been reset and food was not re-stocked. Our only advice was to arrive at 7am to get food before people from the two or three tour buses arrived and cleared out the food. There was no compensation for lack of food.
Also we had difficulty booking an extra day (the initial booking was for two days and we had to increase it at the last minute). We understood that we had to pay the full rate for the third day including an amount for breakfast (13 Euro each). The 26 Euros was irksome considering there was minimal food as explained above.

Could not be a better location for the visit of the walled city. There are no restaurants near by unless you go to the old city, but they are all good and fairly priced. Each room has kitchen facilities and plenty of space.

Description
The BEST WESTERN Le Donjon Les Remparts and its licensed restaurant have a unique location at the very heart of the ancient Cather fortress city of Carassonne. We are located two kilometers from tennis, horseback riding and five kilometers from golf courses.
The BEST WESTERN Le Donjon Les Remparts is made up of three different buildings: Le Donjon, Le Clos Trencavel and La Maison des Remparts. Our hotel has a restaurant and lounge, four conference rooms which will accommodate up to 100 guests, business services and a reception area with television and reading lounge. Our guest rooms are equipped with television, telephone with dataports and Wi-Fi access, coffee/tea maker, hairdryer, air-conditioning, and room service.
Elevators are available for your use in La Maison du Donjon and in La Maison des Remparts.

Molto bello e all'interno della Cittadella. Poco chiare le indicazioni per arrivare al parcheggio degli hotel, ma comodo e gratuito. Servizio di accompagnamento da e per il parcheggio all'albergo compreso e molto comodo. Colazione al buffet ricca. L'ambiente è davvero molto molto gradevole!

We were pleasantly surprised the quality of the room facilities, the comfort of the bed and the spacious bathroom facilities. The staff were very helpful. A suggestion that may help other future guests is more signage as to where the hotel is located. Hauling heavy suitcases amongst pedestrians and vehicles in a new place whilst looking for signs wasn't easy. I would imagine if it was raining this would add to the frustration. Otherwise, we had a wonderful stay and will be recommending your hotel to our friends.

Great location - 5 mins walk to Cite and off the main road so lovely and quiet on a night. The pool was lovely and very unexpected as the photos I'd seen showed it being indoors. There were ample sunbeds and the pool itself, as with the rest of the hotel, was spotless. The staff were very helpful and spoke good English. A continental breakfast was available for 8Euro which was quite good value considering the cost of a cafe au lait in the Cite was £3. Our room was compact and very clean and we had no problems at all. Only downsides were that it would've been nice to have a kettle or fridge as the vending machine in reception was broken for the full duration of our stay (4 nights) and that we were told we couldn't check in until 2pm even though the [...] confirmation said 11:30am. It did have a good checkout time of 11:30am though.

Description
Residhotel Le Clos De La Cite is located just a 10-minute walk (500 metres) from the medieval city of Carcassone. It offers an indoor swimming pool and free parking.
The apartments and studios at Le Clos overlook a peaceful courtyard.
Wi-Fi internet access is available, as a paying network, at Residhotel Le Clos De La Cite, in the reception building only. A continental breakfast can be served every morning on request and by additionnal payment.
The reception is opened everyday from 8h to 12h and from 16h to 20h. The check-in is from 16h and the check-out before 10h.
In case of late check-in after 20h, please contact the reception.
The city taxes are to be paid at the entry in the hotel, the day of the arrival, and these are different from governmental taxes (VAT) and taxes of management of file. Are accepted Credit card, Visa, Mastercard, American Express and change.
The residence has a covered swimming pool, opened from 10:00 am till 8:00 pm.

This hotel room was the worst of over a month on the road. The smell of bug killer was nauseating. On top of having to breathe this horrible smell, we had bugs in our beds! I would not recommend this hotel to my worst enemy. Location and staff were great, but they certainly need to improve the beg issue.

This is a modern and very comfortable hotel in excellent location.( 0409/ss ) It is a modern grey building. The hotel is located near to the river opposite the medieval city of Carcassonne, and close to the city centre.

Hotel is very modern with good facilities. The restaurant with stunning views of the old city is excellent value. The hotel is within easy walking distance of both the Old City, and the newer area.

Description
On leaving Carcassonne, it hardly takes 10 minutes to find yourself in the pastoral sweets of the "Château de Floure". Started life as a Roman Villa on the Via Aquitania between Narbonne and Toulouse. In the Middle Age became a monastery. Ten centuries after, and during the reign of Henri IV, a president of parliament of Toulouse made his country retreat. The contemporary writer Gaston Bonheur lived there.
The original character of this magical site was preserved when it was restored and converted with many refinements. Friendly atmosphere and feast for the eyes in the restaurant "Le Poète Disparu", where you will enjoy a gastronomic cooking.

It really was quite a bargin for what it was and the location. It include secured free parking. The room and bath were not large but more than adequate and comfortable with a great view. The grounds and pool are just gorgeous. We did not like the new dining room and thought the food was just alittle pricy and the wine list pricy. All-in-all a very nice experience for what we spent.
