Ideally located just inside the walls of Avignon. Large comfortable rooms with excellent bathrooms.Staff are very helpful and eager to please. We did not eat in the hotel because incredibly the restaurant was closed on Sunday and Monday nights!!

This was out most pleasant stay. The city was a surprise. It was clean, pretty, not overrun with tourists (the benefits of traveling in April instead of summer). We were upgraded, which counts for much of the overall +++. But even so, the staff was a delight and helpful. Breakfast was lovely, although it could have had eggs. Charging extra for them was trop.

Location good in the main street of the old city. Be careful when putting valuables in hotel safe. What I put in for safe keeping was gone through - I know that as the notes were folded differently - but fortunately my money was all there - one 50 euro note plus a few English pounds - so I assume that as there was little money nothing was taken but....

Good hotel in excellent location. The price is reasonable given the location. Staff were friendly and helpful. Parking was in nearby underground public garage. Good range of restaurants nearby. Palais Des Papes right next door. Would recommend to anyone. Would certainly make a return visit.

Hotel didn't have our rooms ready so upgraded us. We had very nice rooms in the old section. Great customer service and desk staff were very friendly and helpful. Had read mixed reviews but our experience was great! We also had breakfast and it was really good (extra cost). Good location near palace of the popes. We sayed two nights.

We had the triple room with two double beds and a couch in a separate room, kind of like a suite. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The location was right next to the train station as you exit and turn left, very easy to find. The hotel is also right off the main street leading down into the town centre and the pope's palace. Our room had a slight funky smell when the AC was turned on but really we were not in the room much, open windows and it was gone in 5 minutes. [...] It isn't a quaint bed and breakfast style hotel, though they do have a in house breakfast for 15 Euro. The wi-fi is in the front lobby only and is a fast connection.

Description
Owners of two other establishments in this region that they love so passionately- Genevicve and Jean-Andre Charial have revived this former convent with wonderful restoration work and decoration. Contemporary furniture now sits next to the original stones in a harmonious dialogue. The restaurant menu celebrates the region too- Fillet of John Dory baked with salty butter and artichokes from Provence- duck fillet in its crunchy skin with Mediterranean flavoured dried fruit chutney.
The property is closed for business during the year over the following dates- from 5th November to 20th December- closed only on Sunday Monday and Tuesday -and all the period from 4th of January to 15th March 2011 to be confirmed.

Good Choice if proximity to the TGV Station is important

Double room was spacious with international TV news available in several languages. Modern furnishings and amenities.
Bed was incredibly soft and gave me a slight backache -- something very unusual for me.
Easy ten minute walk to TGV station where there is an inexpensive shuttle bus to the post office just inside Avignon's walled Old City ( very near Gare d'Avignon-Centre). From the post office it's a pleasant ten minute walk to Palais des Papes along a boulevard filled with interesting shops and restaurants.
Good restaurant in the hotel but only available for breakfast after 07:00 ā not convenient for early TGV departures.
Room needed a good cleaning - especially shower door, grout and room carpet.

The hotel was very clean and location was great! When you cross the street you enter right into the walled city - tons of restaurants/places for drinks or ice cream (location is extremely important to me because it can save you $ on transport, this hotel was perfect for that reason). I drove there so it was essential that I find parking nearby and did (it was the normal rate of 13 euros per 24 hours, which seemed the standard). Bathroom and bed were VERY clean. I would definitely stay here again. LOVED it!

The hotel is located just outside the main entrance into the city, just beyond the wall. This makes for a convenient location as the bus terminal is right in front and the train is steps away. However, after nightfall the immediate area is less than to be desired. There is only one way into the hotel, up a concrete ramp and it is not well lite and not very welcoming. Overall the room is average and staff were pleasant.

What a great place to stay. Right in the middle of everything. Clean, quiet rooms. Friendly english-speaking staff that even gave restaurant recommendations. We would certainly recommend this facility. The hotel is convenient to everything in Avignon. The bus from the train station (1.2 Euros) stops just 10 minutes from the front door.
