Description
Sokos Hotel Lahden Seurahuone is a traditional and cozy hotel in the very centre of Lahti. The last step of refurbishing of the hotel rooms was completed in September 2006. Now the hotel boasts both warmly cozy and Scandinavian styled rooms. Hotel's restaurant Memphis is a meeting point for hotel guests and locals alike. Bay windows of the restaurant command a view of the city's busy main street. With its refurbished meeting facilities, the hotel is also an excellent venue for meetings.

Not what we expected

The hallways were very dirty, building old and had to pull our luggage long way, including stairs to get to our room.Our room was "Superior", that is slightly larger, but there was nothing superior about it! The receptionist was not at all help full with information. esp re: hotel parking and how to access the garage.

Description
This 6-floor hotel features 171 guestrooms, all of which have light decor with light oak furnishings and parquet floors. All rooms include TV with pay movies, direct-dial phones, hair dryers and complimentary Internet connections. Guests can relax body and spirit in two Finnish saunas and dance the night away in the hotel’s Night Life disco. A conference room provides facilities for meetings and laptops can be connected to the Internet free of charge. The 24-hour front desk offers dry-cleaning and currency-exchange services, and multilingual staff can advise on sights and attractions in the area. Guests arriving by car will find parking available in the hotel garage (surcharge). The hotel is located right in the centre of town, at the shopping centre. Only a short walk to the theatre and all the main attractions of the city.

Description
The Scandic Lahti hotel has a great location in central Lahti, and is the perfect base for exploring this charming city in Southern Finland. Lahti is a popular sports city, with yearly events and World Cup winter games. The hotel has large rooms, a restaurant, pool, sauna and gym. You'll also find excellent meeting facilities and wireless internet access. There are 50 free parking spaces outside the hotel.

we booked an eco-room, so we didn't expect much and the room size was ok for this price. but the room was very noisy, stuffy and hot, although we got a window opener and a ventilator. air conditioning seemed to work on a very low level. the staff was friendly, but we didn't got an upgrade after we complained about the hot rooms. the told us there is no other room available, but the hotel was not booked out. maybe there were 20-30 other people. the beds were uncomfortable, even in hostels there are more comfortable beds. the hallway smelled like chemical detergent. breakfast-buffet had a wide selection, but only instant-coffee and the bread tasted like it was from yesterday overall it was ok for that rate, but don't expect anything special. i would not book it for a normal rate. it is not a 3*-hotel.
