Though the floor was not clean enough to walk on bare feet, the room was spacious for the price and had its convenient kitchen as well as all the necessities. The hotel is a bit away from old city center, but it has good, quiet and secure atmosphere.

Not a good hotel to stay if you are only spending the night and need to go back to the airport the next day, what you save on the room rate is lost when paying for the taxi to and from the hotel.

We stayed overnight in San Salvador en route to Cancun Mexico.
The shuttle from the airport was waiting and was clean and the driver extremely friendly. The room was immaculate and the service from check-in to check-out was heads above any similar experiences on the mainland U.S.
Breakfast was delicious and the beds very comfortable...would highly recommend the hotel and would definitely stay there again.

Wonderful Time in San Salvador

This was my 2nd trip to the Holiday Inn San Salvador El Salvador and I had a wonderful time. The hotel is in an upscale part of town, but I spent time in the outlining communities. The living conditions there is sometime depressing, but the people were very friendly! I also travelled with a local friend there that kept me from going to the really rough areas, but the area near the hotel is very beautiful.

I was very impressed with this hotel during my stay in San Salvador. It was clean, very comfortable, and in a good location. Although I was a little disappointed with the extra fees and the internet/breakfast/restaurant prices. Considering you can find breakfast around town for $2 - $5, paying $18.99 a day for internet and breakfast seems steep.

My only complaints are that there was NEVER any ice on our floor, and I still find it odd that I can rent a cheaper room at a lessor hotel, and get free internet, while here I'm paying more, and yet they still want to charge me additional to use the internet.

The hotel is very clean, the staff is friendly, our room was on the 3th floor, there are no stairs to clame, this was good for my Mom who is on a wheelchair, over all a great place. will stay here again.

THE STAFF WAS VERY HELPFUL AND ACCOMMODATING. THE ROOM WAS CLEAN AND WELL MAINTAINED WITH EASY ACCESS TO MAJOR SIGHTS WITHIN THE CITY. THE GYM WAS WELL EQUIPPED AND MAINTAINED.

The charges of the hotel were expesive. They charge $1 a minute if you make phone calls to a cellular phone. The hotel is beautiful. however the experience was disturbed by the worry of being charged twice for the stay. It took 5 days for orvitz and hotel to clarify my package ( hotel air) was prepaid.

Overall, the location, services and price are pretty much o.k. The reason why I'm giving a very low rate in "Room Cleanliness" is because for whatever reason they did not clean (do) my room for two days in a row. When I brought it over to the Front Desk's attention they did not offer any alternatives other than just sent clean towels to our room. I was very dissapointed.

The best thing about this hotel is the location. The rooms on the older building are a bit dated, stay in new building if possible. Staff is very nice.

Overlooking scenic volcano, windows and restaurant kept us focused on this magnificent work of nature. The breakfast buffet had all the regional foods we love and we really enjoyed the staff taking care of us.
