Awesome time at the Tangerine!

Me and my friend went for 8 days..which was totally not enough time, but we had the best time while we were there! The grounds were beautiful and kept very clean...the staff were very nice and helpful...they worked very long hours, but always looked happy. There was always something to do at the hotel as well...golf..darts, water aerobics..it rained the last day while we were there and staff were constantly going around making sure everyone was still kept happy and busy. Nighlty entertainment was WONDERFUL! Those guys should be dancing on broadway or back up for jlo. lol We love it at the Tangerine!

This hotel is located on a beautiful beach near everything you could possibly want to do.. Highly recomend the 27 waterfall tour. See a man on the beach named Andy Garcia for your tour needs, he worked his butt off and when the weather went sour he gave us all of our money back even though he had already bought beer and hired a cab. I am sure he lost money. How is that for integrity? Cabarete, the town is a wonderful, small, quaint place full fo restaurants, cafes and boutiques with not a chain in site except ScotiaBank.

The Staff was great! But I wouldn't call it a resort. There was nothing to do there when the weather was bad and we couldn't go to the beach. The rooms were tiny and had cockroaches. It was all-inclusive but the food was horrible. They repeated meals and re-cooked the same dishes every day. I definitely would NOT stay there again.

Impossible de décrire en quelques lignes la quantité de disfonctionnements de cet hôtel. A éviter à tout prix pendant les vacances de pâques, musique à fond de 9h à 23h, hôtel envahi, piscines verdâtres avec des gobelets qui flottent, clim qui ne fonctionnent pas, pas d'eau chaude dans beaucoup de chambres.
Les chambres sont vétustes, peinture cloquée, sols pas très propres, ménage très rapide.
Nourriture juste correcte (pâtes, frites, riz), pas de véritables cocktails (sirop de menthe pour un mojito,...).
Bref un hôtel qui ne vaut certainement pas le prix que nous avons payé et qui ne mérite pas de s'y attarder sauf si vous êtes certains qu'il y aura du vent (pas d'autres centres d'intérêt dans cabarete), mais même dans ce cas vous trouverez aussi bien et moins cher.

The hotel is a bit off the center of Cabarete which requires a $10 one way taxi ride into town so it can be a bit of an inconvenience and expensive since there are no discos, stores or entertainment in the hotels vecinity. On the plus side the hotel has it's own easy access to the beach with minimal vendor hassle. The hotel is not very modern and lacks phones in the rooms, reliable internet access (only 2 computers available for 50 pesos every 15 minutes), room towls and toilet paper are scarced. Snacks and drinks are not available 24 hours a day so buy some munchies to keep in your room which on the plus side have a small fridge. The majority of the guest during our December/January stay were middled aged couples (late 40's to 50's) with teenage children so if you are young or single you might be bored out of your mind. The staff are nice and friendly and very helpful. If you want peace and quite and minimal exposure to Dominican culture then this is a good choice if on the other hand you want to experience the cultture and be around people then opt for a hotel in the center of town.

the rooms werent the best. we had to change rooms because our ac went out and in the second room it wasnt working at all, but i had someone fix it. the first pool was nice their second pool in the back was a little dirty. there was plenty of food to eat (i liked that)but there wasnt a great selection. but u get what u pay for. i ,personally wouldnt go back but everyones taste isnt the same. HAVE FUN.

Stayed for 6 nights with four people. We got a great deal and didn't expect much. The hotel met and/or exceeded our expectations. The hotel staff is friendly and accommodating. The grounds are kept and we felt pretty safe at the hotel. The breakfast included fresh fruit and was better than expected. I will however add that the lights, fridge and tv were not working in both rooms when we got there. Although we weren't really using the lights and it didn't bother us, it would have been great if they had checked these items as a basic courtesy before our arrival.
