It is not all that is advertised. We would have liked the DVD slot on the TV as advertised. The bar is expensive. Once the sofa bed is down you keep tripping around it. The breakfast was great. The staff was friendly and very helpful. The Charles Bridge is twice as far as advertised.

We have stayed in several Prague hotels and prefer the apartment/hotel approach - more roominess and the ability to cook our own meals. The amenities were sufficient for our needs. Conducting business from the Aparthotel was effective. Thanks, Charlie

Hotel położony w dzielnicy Praga 5, w bezpośredniej bliskości stacji metra Andel (ok. 500 metrów). Recepcjonistki mówią biegle po angielsku i niemiecku. Pokój i łazienka mają standardowe wyposażenie. Jest czysto. W pokojach "od ulicy" moze przeszkadzać ruch samochodów i tramwajowy. Bufet śniadaniowy z dużym wyborem. Dobre skomunikowanie, stacja metra, węzeł tramwajowy i autobusowy. Obok hotelu dobra restauracja. Ogólny standart hotelu jak na 3* poprawny.

Eenvoudig doch goed hotel. We overnachtten hier met ons gezin (6 personen) tijdens erg warme dagen eind april, begin mei 2012. Kamers door aanwezigheid van goed werkende airco heerlijk koel. Goed geslapen op goede bedden. Alles schoon en keurige goed werkende sanitaire voorzieningen. Ontbijt is eenvoudig, maar ok. Auto parkeren op nabijgelegen bewaakte parkeerplaats. kosten €10,- per nacht. Op loopafstand van centrum (20min.). Prijs-kwaliteit verhouding zondermeer goed. We bewaren goede herinneringen aan dit hotel en absoluut aan Praag. Aanbevelenswaardig!

Great - the staff was friendly and the room was perfect for what I needed. I arrived before the check-in time and the staff found an available room for me (larger than my original reservation) and gave it to me no problem, and for no price increase. I would recommend this hotel to anyone travelling on a budget!

Fantastic hotel, particularly in the winter when the rates are low. The breakfast has a good variety, the staff is friendly and the hotel is located within walking distance to the city center and has a tram stop across the street for easier access. Fantastic location, fantastic hotel.

les plus: -Localisation idéale -station de tramway à la porte de l'hôtel quasiment donc très pratique -personnel souriant et à notre service (on peut se débrouiller sans problème avec un minimum d'anglais, sinon à l'accueil il y a parfois quelqu'un qui parle même français) -propre. Le gros plus pour ceux qui viennent en voiture: un petit parking souterrain (6 places); vu le peu de stationnement disponible sur Prague c'est bien pratique et sûr pour le temps du séjour. Le petit moins: il y a un bar pas très loin de l'hôtel donc si on laisse les fenêtres ouvertes la nuit on peut entendre parfois les clients qui sortent du bar et restent sur le trottoir pour rire ou discuter.Mais c'est le cas pour tous les hôtels qui sont en centre ville et avec les fenêtres fermées on n'entend plus rien du tout.

The Hotel is excellant, it is located in the Little Quarter, away from the crowds. It is still close enough to see all the sites, and the Tram stop is just a block away. The staff is great and very helpfull. The roof top terrace is a great place to relax in the evenings.

The Julian helped make our holiday in Prague an excellent experiance.

Lovely friendly staff and very comfortable rooms but a little way out from the sights in and around the old town. The tram was close and frequent so there was no problem getting in and out of town

My husband, my 15 month baby and I just got back from the Czech Republic where we stayed at a number of hotels. The Hotel General was by far our favorite. Everything about it was top-notch: the service and the rooms were exquisite. They were also very accommodating about our baby, which is not always the case. The breakfast was fabulous too. I've stayed at other five star hotels, and I am often underwhelmed. Staying at the Hotel General was truly a five star experience. We definitely plan to return. Note to other travelers: the hotel has a reasonably priced car service to and from the airport, and the driver is extremely knowledgeable and friendly.

We spent a lot of time walking - very convenient to Charles Bridge, Old Town and New Town. You can do Prague easily on foot but the trams and metro are quite convenient as well. It would have been nice to have had a sauna there but it was close to a Thai massage place so that was a plus. Great places to eat all around the hotel - Thai, Czech, Mexican, etc. The decor was Medieval style and done really well. The breakfast was well stocked with lots of choices - vegetables, meats, cheeses, eggs (scrambled and poached), cereal, etc. The maids were friendly and helpful. Unfortunately we had a bad stomach virus while we were there and their method of cleaning glasses left a bit to be desired - nowhere near the sanitary requirements here in the States but that is true throughout Eastern Europe.

Ottima posizione e buon rapporto qualità prezzo. Camere purtroppo poco spaziose e la mancanza di una vera e propria Hall, se si esclude uno spazio adiaciente la sala ristorante e con essa direttamente comunicante abbassano gli standard di qualità. Arredo alquanto discutibile. Da consigliare comunque a tutti coloro che desiderano un posto tranquillo ed al tempo stesso in posizione ottimale per la visita della città.

Seul bémol, une toute peite salle de bain avec une douche très exigue. Table de lavabo plutôt moche et gondolée et cuvette peu pratique. Sinon, tout le reste est bien

The Mamaison Riverside is a wonderful boutique hotel situated in a nice location. We walked about 10minutes to reach the Charles Bridge, and it was a beautiful walk along the river. The room was beautiful, comfortable and clean. The decor was elegantly modern, and our 5th floor deluxe room was very quiet, even though we were somewhat concerned at first because the elevator was right next to us. The coffee and tea service in the room was a very nice touch and we appreciated it very much each morning during our 4 night stay. I would have to say everything was great about this hotel except for two things: First, the internet connection was literally DOWN the entire time we stayed, even though we chose this hotel partly because of free Wi-Fi. We rely heavily on internet connection when we travel, so this was a major drawback for us. We talked to the hotel manager multiple times, and they sent a tech person who equipped us with a router in the room, but the configuration was all wrong and just would not work. Thankfully my husband who is a near technical genius tweaked and forced the router to work, but the technical team at the hotel was absolutely clueless. The second minor issue was the shower and room service. The showerhead is one of those modern twisty knobs that should be able to flex. Ours was broken, so we had to sort of hold it over us to shower. This is fine except when you need to wash your hair - kind of challenging washing your hair with one hand while holding the showerhead in the other. We asked for our room to be cleaned by leaving the "Please clean our room" sign on the doorknob. Somehow, the tag was dropped on the floor, and when we got back really late one night (around midnight), we found the room the way we left it, with no clean towels. The next day, we left money to the cleaning staff with a note that we would like additional towels. Well, the money was gone, but no additional towels! Also, we got charged bar tab even though we didn't use the bar. The management kindly reversed the charges, but this is just one of my pet peeves when I travel. Overall, I'm rating this hotel a solid 4, despite the minor issues we experienced. Without these minor annoyances, I would have rate it a solid 5. The management was friendly and accommodating, and with assurance that the internet will work seamlessly and the showerhead fixed, we will come back to this hotel the next time we come to Prague.

This was a very nice comfy hotel in a wonderful location not too far from the tourist spots. It had a very cozy feel and a very polite friendly staff. The room was nicer than expected and had little details like the towel warmer and amazing bathtub that made the stay so nice. The staff was very nice and helped out a lot. The hotel was not full at all, I think it was just my room and a few others that were occupied.
