Description
Pharia is the old Indo-European word for the Hvar Island, and is a synonym for the sun, light and, above all, warmth which this small, attractive Hvar Island hotel offers its guests. Hvar Hotel Pharia and its apartments are located in the peaceful, western part of Hvar town, 50 meters from the sea and small, pebble beaches. A pleasant 15-minute walk along the shore will bring you to Hvar town center. Hvar Hotel Pharia provides accommodation in rooms and apartments in two buildings. The relatively small number of accommodation units on the ground floor and two upper floors form an interesting combination of standard accommodation and small family hotel. There are ten double rooms in the east wing, where the reception is to be found, along with a bar and the hotel's public rooms. In the east wing there are eleven apartments consisting of a lobby, kitchen/dining area, sitting room, double bedroom and bathroom. All rooms and apartments have balconies and those with a sea view provide a wonderful view of the Pakleni Islands.

Grounds were nice good location

i guess I got a standard room which is pretty basic, small bathroom. Impossible not to get water everywhere..weird toilets. My view was and balcony faced a wall. But the hotel was nice pool,was nice. A little a nall about the towels. Wifi worked intermittenly in' room and did not work at pool Overall, I liked it, I enjoyed the ability to lounge by pool. But I think it is overpriced for what tit is but that goes for all og he 4/5 * in Croatia

My husband and I loved this hotel. It was such a pleasant stay! The staff was helpful and the hotel over all was great! My only complaint is that it is a little run down. Some of the corners have peeled away wall paper and cracked walls and it is a little dingy…but overall, it was good. The views are INCREDIBLE!!!! I would stay there just for the views alone. Great sunsets and so peaceful on the balconies. I would recommend it if you are looking for an escape and a little romance.

An adventure- not all good

Unfortunately, although I had reserved my hotel room 3 1/2 months before, on arriving at the Riva hotel, nicely located on the waterfront, I was told that my 3 day reservation could only be for 2 days, but that I could transfer to their sister hotel. At the sister hotel, there also was a problem, since they had a wedding there that night, and I would be inconvenienced by noise. I went back to the first hotel, checked in, unpacked and we went to dinner. After dinner, we discovered that the room air conditioner was not working. We then packed again, went back to the sister hotel, but felt that our first day in Hvar was ruined. The hotel did make accomodation to us, but there was no getting back the first day. I had to guarantee my reservation with my credit card, but what was their guarantee to me??
