The hotel is perfectly located to enjoy the walled city with easy access to the other sites. It is super clean, comfortable and great ac. It is in a hotel converted colonial house allowing the visitor to feel what it was like to have lived there during those times. It is in a quiet street, yet one can hear the occasional clip clop of hoofs as horse drawn carriages go by, an awesome experience!! The full American breakfast, served in the central open air courtyard, was delicious. Highly recommend this economical and wonderful place.

Staff was very courteous and helpful. The location was very good. Quiet and safe. The room had no safe, You had to use the hotel's safe. The room was kept very clean. King size bed very comfortable. The bathroom's shower was very old - water pressure on the 4th floor room was low to strong - it varied as you were taking a shower. We found out that hot water was on only after 9:30pm. No matter how many times we requested it earlier in the day. The buffet in the morning was fine. Skip the evening buffet unless you are running short in cash.

This hotel has an excellent location. It is around the corner from the Cathedral and down the street from San Pedro de Claver Church. It is a boutique hotel that has a wonderful roof deck with great views of the old city and the harbor. The small pool and jacuzzi are nice, and there is fine food and drink service on the roof. The rooms are spacious, clean, and well-equipped, but be sure to ask for the rooms with a view (otherwise, you will look at a concrete wall). Perhaps the best feature of this hotel is the breakfast that is included with the room. A sweet and brightly-dressed woman named Ava cuts and prepares exotic fruit for each guest, and the juice and arepas that are then served are excellent. The staff is quite helpful, and direct tv and internet are offered. The one negative to this hotel is the noise late at night on the weekends; however, to be fair, one can expect weddings and parties on weekend nights at every good hotel in the city, and this hotel is probably not noisier than any other in Cartagena.
