Enjoyed staying here. Very convenient even though it is away from the "old town" its an easy walk and there are good attractions and restaurants nearby. Nice shops too.

Great location for catching the water, light, music show at Big Wild Goose Pagoda grounds and an excellent show it is. Very nice hotel with very comfortable facilities and close to great restaurant area too. Easy to get to the Xian city wall and other attractions. Would definitely stay here again.

The staff hotel is very friendly, rooms are clean and quiet. Staff speaks english good enough. The hotel is right across the street from Xian wall.

The location of this hotal is great - just by the city wall which affords the place a great view. The rooms were spacious and well decorated and the bathrooms were very modern.
The staff at reception speak good english.
There's even a beauty/spa type area on the top floor where you can have a massage; haircut etc.
The one downside was the internet. All rooms do have an internet connection but you have to pay to use it at 1RMB per minute so it is expensive. However, if you buy a drink in the atrium then you get two free hours of wireless connection.
Also, the room service is expensive, but I guess this is to be expected. We ordered a brerakfast and it was a very small portion.
Overall, I really liked this hotel - great location; nice staff; taxi's fairly easy to come by; Drum and Ball Tower just down the road; lots of activity by the wall in the evenings. I'd recommend it and stay there again.

the room is a bit on the smallish side, breakfast is great though could have been better if they stop later at 1030am
had checked out one day earlier due to other last minute urgency.
was not able to get a refund of the unused night.

Beautifull decor, good service, excellent breakfast. The pool and spa area are also very good. 2 minor things on the "must improve" side: 1) the hotel has 2 wings, we stayed on the west wing where the breakfast schedule is only until 9:30h, so when we woke up later, we had to go to the east wing to have breakfast (until 10.30h), which is not convenient and doesn´t make any sense. 2) On the west wing there is a nightclub and the music was so loud that you could here from wherever you were on the lobby, which wasn´t pleasant.

A great 4 star hotel in a down

A great 4 star hotel in a down town central location, convenient to everything. Don't miss the Great Mosque, Starbucks just off the Bell Tower, and take a taxi to the Little Goose Pagoda so you can see the fantastic museum they built there. The collection of sculpture and glass is second to none I've ever seen, and they don't even mention it in the guide books. Btw the staff speaks English, even if you speak Mandarin to them. Not a problem, but just another point on how nice a hotel this is for westerners. I've been to 40 different Chinese cities, and have never stayed at a nicer hotel than this.

This hotel is in a great location just outside the old city walls, the rooms where clean and staff friendly. However as a westerner i got through it due to my mandarin speaking friend, otherwise there are no tours provided at this hotel, at present, in english (unless you want to pay an extra 400RMB). So if you can speak mandarin, this is a nice hotel :)

Something fishy and sketchy.....
We had prepaid for our room in advance and when we arrived they not only denied our reservation, but they were trying to get rid of us and send us away! When I tried to use their phone to call someone to fix the situation, they wouldn't let me use it. They were extremely rude-every single staff member behind the desk! They said it was booking agents fault and that is wasn't "their problem". I travel for a living and I have never experienced anything like this! For the love of god, save yourself from this pit of h*ll they call a hotel.... you have been warned.

After the day at the Tetra-cotta soldier site, we checked in at the Jinishi International hotel. Check in experience was great. We came down for a pre-dinner drink and the bar was pretty much out of everything One beer and no tonic water.
Dinner was average, but the breakfast buffet was excellent.

We had high expectations but when we got to the hotel, the staff could not find our reservation, however we were able to solve that problem. The room was in the newer wing but the carpets were not vacumned and the room had a musty odor.
Amenities were spares and not so good.
Probably would not recommend this hotel as there are others closer to the main attractions.

This hotel is located at city center. The buffet breakfast was well worth the price with both western and local food options. It was easy to walk to a lot of the attractions. Those that I couldn't walk to from my hotel were easy to get to from a bus that you can catch near the hotel.

Nice clean hotel right next to bell tower. Short walk to drum tower and market area. Lots of bus stops nearby to take you to the other tourist sites. Only gripe is that the staff were not friendly and internet is a rip off in the business center but these are minor things. I would stay there again.

We got 2 rooms and only stayed the night to see the Terricotta Warriors. The carpet was stained and walls had marks on it, but it didn't worry us. Great price and it good they let us check in at 7am because of our early train arrival. The Location is 5 minutes but taxi from train station.

Location, location, location!

I titled my review "Location, location, location!" because this hotel was so convenient...right downtown, close to several sightseeing spots, with several bus stops nearby, and with both a McDonald's and Starbucks located just across the street. Our room was clean, comfortable, and quiet...my only complaint was that the temperature (even with everything turned off) was too hot. On the other hand, I found the front desk staff to be rude, unhelpful, and unfriendly. For example: Despite having my reservation in their computer...a PREPAID reservation I might add...my reservation number, AND my passport, which clearly showed my name exactly as it was in their computer...they were initially not going to let me even check in because I hadn't printed out a copy of my reservation from my computer. I had to threaten to leave before they finally agreed to let me check in. Also, there was no room service (despite there being room service menus in the room), and the hotel restaurant, which was undergoing renovations,had been temporarily moved upstairs...where they served cold coffee (thankfully, there was Starbucks across the street from the hotel). In summary, I thought the hotel itself was very good, but the staff not so great!

The front desk staff are unhelpful and rude. When we asked if they could call a cab to the railway station, they told us to take a bus or walk to the main road. Really atrocious service. I wouldn't recommend anyone stay there.

I booked this hotel mainly because it was centrally located and had a good rate. It was very easy to find, and in easy walking distance ti the Drum Tower, where the bus from the airport stops. I booked a non-smoking room, and for the it menat a sign in the roomsaying "please do not smoke in bed". The room stank of smoke. Broadband internet is by cable only (i.e. No WiFi), which means it was useless with my iPad. Staff were very friendly. Breakfast Chinese only (I am still not used to having rice, noodles, etc. For breakfast). Very noisy all night due to strange mechanical noises (some sort of generator, air conditioning, or similar) from outside. Overall, great location and ok hotel. Good value fir money. The only real problem was the so-called non-smoking room...

This is a good mid-range hotel in downtown Xi'an. It is very central being only a few of minutes walk from the drum tower. Make sure you have the name and address written in Chinese as no-one (including about 10 taxi drivers) seemed to know where it was despite it being a large hotel!

great hotel, with plenty of food, convenience stores near by. little far from city center, but cabs are cheap enough so that it didn't matter. bed was a little hard though

Great location and great price

The location of the hotel was good and not far from the Railway Station by taxi. Room was spacious and very clean and the bed was comfortable (which is hard to find sometimes in China).
Staff was friendly, courteous and professional and their English skills were good.
All in all a very happy experience.
