When you consider the location is directly across from the the szx railway station, it's a good value for under $220 a night. If you pay more than that, you will be disappointed with the rooms and cleanliness. It's an older hotel.

we expected to have friendly and english speaking staff. even in reseption area, people had very poor english. we asked for room upgrade, they doubled charged us. Also, they wanted to charge the breakfast double ( in deed , that makes triple charge) when we found that there is a mistake, a 45 min discussion started. finally, they undertand that it was their mistake. so unorganized and it is not sheraton level...

Unfortunately I had to spent at least 1.1/2 hour at the front desk because orbitz.com screwed up. I reserved and paid this hotel 2 weeks ago. When I arrived the hotel they said I only did reservation no payment. I show them my credit card sattement showing that orbitz.com got the payment. They didn't accept it because they didn't get the payment in their system and they wouldnt let me stay without payment. They finally let me in and same saga goes on in the morning half hour more. I refused to pay and left. Then in the middle of my business meeting hotels A/R department calling me.
Anyway it was a big frustration and they are still calling me for payment despite Orbitz.com got the payment long time ago.

I am very happy the hotel services but very disappointed for my booking with Empire Hotel, I think they still haven't set up the connection with Hotel Club, because they couldn't receive my payment from Hotel Club, I need to pay them again when I checked in. It was full effect my trip, however I need to get my booking refund from Hotel club and I would never book this hotel again.

Apartment are great, well designed and large. Stayed on the executive floor, the service staff in the executive floor lounge provide good service and nice place for entertaining guests. Taxis are a little shortage to go to town. It will be good if hotel have shuttle bus running to town and back.

Great room, decent service, and a good hearty breakfast. Excellent value overall. A bit far from the train station/downtown areas, but easily manageable by taxis. Lots of Lao Wai at this hotel. My only complaint is that they put up a bit of resistance before giving me a non-smoking room. Not a big deal considering the price and very nice room.

ただロビーが待ち合わせなどでは使えません。
場所も地下鉄の駅に近く便利な場所にあります。
５０階での朝食も付いているのですが、割高なので朝食なしプランがあると
いいとおもいます。

I stayed in the Marco Polo while attending a conference at the Conference and Exhibition Centre, a 10-15 minute walk from the hotel. There are a number of excellent restaurants nearby (including Starbucks to pick up a morning coffee on the way to the conference). The area was busy and felt safe to walk in. The rooms were very comfortable with as good or better facilities as I've encountered anywhere else. The outdoor pool is amazing. The only problem during my stay was that despite having booked for three nights stay many weeks in advance the hotel had overbooked rooms in the hotel for my first night so I had to change rooms for the second and third nights.

I spent a week in Shenzhen for the long National Day Holiday. The Grand Skylight was recommended by other western travelers as a very good western hotel. Overall I agree, once you understand eastern culture and their sense of "style" this hotel is very good fit for those looking fora nearly western hotel experience while visiting Shenzhen.

This hotel is central for business travellers. The room was decent but not very clean. The hotel is in an office building so a lot of traffic. Breakfast is good. For the price, I recommend.

Finding the hotel was very difficult because the name is English, but there are very few Chinese who understand English. Once the Chinese name was known I was able to get a cab to the hotel. When I went to the front desk to register, I discovered that the hotel staff did not speak English either. I was told I would have to pay a $200 yuan deposit and I did so with my credit card. When I checked out they said they did not have the means to reverse the charges at that time.

This hotel won't stay this cheap

This hotel won't stay this cheap for long! The building work outside, once finished, will make this hotel as close to perfect as you will get. They even provide all the cables necessary to connect your laptopp to their huge TV in your room so you can watch all your downloads on their HD TV! And it moves out the wall so you can get a direct view either from your bed or from the lounge area of your room. And the service is imbeccable. My friends stayed in a horizons room which, when sharing the room, was great value for money. I will definately be back!

The hotel seemed to be very nice on the website, but when you arrived, the noise of a construction in front of the hotel was unbareable. Finally, the hotel services and general areas are not up to par for a 5 star rated hotel. This is probably an average 4 star hotel with some 3 star qualities that need improvement.

Amazing price for an amazing stay

Deluxe room was very well decorated and sparkling clean from the bed linens to the unexpected huge bathroom! Free internet land-line just made my room work much more convenient without any need for activation or purchase. For the price that I've paid, bet I'll not find anything similiar or even close from the whole of China!

This hotel was listed more for business, but it really is good for anyone. Great location to attractions in the area, and a beautiful area to stay in. Good choices of places to eat and shop with in walking distance. The room I had could have been a bit better (paint), but I have no complaints, they do try there best. It can be noisy at times outside (car horns, people) that is just the way China is and works. I quickly got use to it and found it an intrical part to life there.
Would I stay there again, yes and do plan to go back!

Nothing real fancy here but for the price i was pleasantly surprised.
