Members of staff are polite and friendly. The room size and room rate is reasonable. I like this hotel because it just takes about 10 mins walk to West Lake and 5 mins taxi to train station.

Hotel staff took 20 minutes to find and confirm the booking, They did not had no knowledge of the reservation, Do not speak English, Besides showing them the reservation confirmation there was nothing we could do, Checking was very frustrating/After that it was beauiful.

The Hotel is located on main road of Hangzhou city only 15 minutes drive away from the West Lake. The Hotel is surrounded by many tourist attractions, such as Xinyi Avenue Commercial Street and Jing-Hang Canal. Also, it only takes 15 minutes walk to the downtown, Wulin Plaza. The Hotel is easily accessed by many transportation, the train station and cross-city bus station are close by. Driving to Shanghai and Ningbo are only within 2 hours.

The location of this hotel is about 15-20 minutes away from the West Lake, the main attraction in Hangzhou. A taxi costs about 15 RMB to get you to West Lake, or you can take a bus across the street (K188) which will take a bit longer but will get you to West Lake for 1 RMB.
The rooms are an OK size, clean, and organized. There is wired high speed internet connection in the rooms. Breakfast is a bit odd for the western taste, but there are free oranges in the lobby.The staff does not speak English very good.

Location is fine (Starbucks next door) -- not very central, but cabs are inexpensive to take you to the West Lake area. The suites are large, clean and very well-equipped. Highly recommended. We spent our time in the West Lake area.

Courtyard is the sister hotel, next to JW Marriott. But in China, you'd better know the Chinese name of the hotel, otherwise, the taxi will NOT know where to take you. It's known as "Wan Yee Wulin Men", or you could also cite "Wan Hau Wulin Men" for JW Marriott - which is right next door.
Hotel is clean, and the put in the 3rd bed for my Triple room, as soon as we checked in. Overall, very happy with the hotel.

Reasonably Priced Hotel near the Lake

The location is great--an easy walk from West Lake. It was worth buying breakfast, so we didn't waste time finding a place to eat. The staff is friendly, but "turn left and then right" may mean make 3 left turns! Let the hotel summon a taxi if you wish to get to a museum or a particular restaurant.
There is a very nice, slightly expensive Japanese Restaurant with a fixed price menu ($20 or $25 each person) that has a great cod dinner. It is North of the hotel (on a very busy street) past a lot of expensive car dealerships.

This was a fine small Chinese hotel with excellent if somewhat small rooms. The beds were very comfortable but my wife and I love the very firm Chinese hotel beds. The location was very good. a two minute walk to the park around West Lake, and a 10 minute walk to the lake shore. The stay was a very good value. Staff spoke minimal English, but this did not create a problem. The Brazilian barbeque restaurant connected to hotel is very good and a good value too.

Location is excellent, right on the lake with a nice promenade, close to boat trips, a few high end stores soon around the corner. Would recommend if you can get a good deal as it is likely be more expensive, however the location of this hotel is great, service good, rooms spacious and well equipped, nice (indoor) pool ... it was worth it for us.

大體上算不錯的住宿品質，只是飯店的位置有些偏遠，但不過因為如此，才擁有美好的寧靜環境(行走至公交站及自行車站沿途風景很美)，很推薦給大家~

Unless you want to be in the middle of tea country with little accessibility by taxi and bus then its perhaps better to book elsewhere east of West Lake. We were advised to take a bus into the city but the buses and cabs were too unreliable.
The facilities and service is good, but it more or less resembles more of a travel lodge/hostel than a hotel.
