Best Airport Hotel in China

The Pullman Guangzhou Baiyun Airport Hotel is one of the best I ever had chance to stay in an airport. Very conveniently located within 5 minutes walking distance from the terminals, it offers a very modern architecture, a very pleasant lobby, swimming pool, terrasse and great rooms with excellent sercices. The staf was so nice, welcoming and helpful. I was upgrated to a suite room, which came to a great good surprise to me. Breakfast is serverved in a elegant restaurant offering a large variety of foods from Western to Asian.
For those who want to relax in a quite and beautiful environment, this is the place to stay.

The front desk clerk quickly got my reservation and room together. No hassles, answered my questions. The breakfast was standard Chinese Hotel buffet. Adequate variety and quality. I would stay there again. The only problem I had were the cab drivers outside the airport. One wanted to take me the 1 or 2 miles to the Hotel for 180 RMB. Another wanted 100 RMB. Fortunately I speak passable Mandarin, and found one who would use his meter- 18 RMB. So, don't let the cab drivers rip you off. The Hotel is very close.

インターネットＬＡＮケーブル有り、無料で利用可能（約１００Ｍ）。セイフティボックスは有り。シャワーのみ。アメニティは一般的。ミニバー、冷蔵庫共に無し。冷房はあるが自分では調整不可？暖房無し。眺望は普通。室内の清掃は良くない（担当にもよる？）。フロントは英語でのサポートのみ。
ちなみに近所にはコンビニ等は無い。ホテル内では飲料・ビール・カップラーメン等を購入できる。
ロケーションは空港に近いが車でしか行けない場所にあり。空港到着時、電話でホテルの無料送迎バスをお願いできる。その際、予約の有無・到着階のゲートＮｏ．（例 Ａ５ ｏｒ Ｂ５等）をしっかり伝える事。その時車の番号等教えてくれるが、バスのフロントにおいてある「漢字のホテル名」が入ったプレートで確認できる。空港前の道路を一つ渡ったところで待つ。速ければ５分ほどで来てくれる。時間がかかりすぎる様だと正しくこちらの事が伝わっていない可能性が有るので再度電話する必要有り（？）。ホテルから空港へは毎時０分にバスが出発、早朝・深夜については不明につき事前に確認の事。

The pictures in their website were quite deceiving especially their so called "gym" which they charged 30 rmb per hour (about $5). All the exercise equipment looked like they bought them at a garage sale. The one treadmill that they had was dangerous; the belt would slip every couple of steps. The bathtub had black mildew all around the chalking. I saw cockroaches almost everywhere, the restaurant, lobby, and in the elevators. At least I didn't see any in the rooms. At $70 per night it surely wasn't worth it but there are only two hotels around the airport strip. The other one cost twice as much. Maybe that one is worth trying.

This is the first stay at the Holiday Inn Express. We frequesntly come up to the Redding area to visit friends and family. I will stay again. The place is nice and the breakfast is great for the value. Those Cinnimon rolls mmmmm, good!
