Northwoods Inn and Suites is a nice 2 storied hotel which includes different types of suites, like Double queen bed room suites, Single queen bed room suites, studio and double bed room parlor room. As a recreational facilitates indoor pool with high water sliding and a spa tub is a good features. It is also providing free hot breakfast, restaurant, complimentary parking, free Wi-Fi i.e. internet, TV with cable and satellite channels etc. It is in the heart of the down town of Saskatoon. Total rooms are 161. Hotel also provides free breakfast.

The room was what we expected for $74 online (great value). It was clean, simple and had what we needed...a place to rest our heads for a few hours.
What we didn't expect was that the room next to us was going to be up all night...yes, all night until about 4 am. They were loud, stood outside our door for smokes and talk extremely loud. People arrived and were outside our door and were loud. The outside door did not hide much in the way of sounds. There were a lot of banging and slamming of things all through the night. We barely got any sleep. The hotel could do a better job of monitoring these things.

Description of this hotel room and the online pictures (than can be very misleading) were not what we expected. The room had the feel of "basic" cleanliness, but the bathroom was a disappointment. There were tiles were wearing off the bathtub surround - missing paint. Looked very unattractive. We arrived late and had to check out early, so didn't have much time other than sleep in the room. Staff was friendly - especially server at free continential breakfast. This property needs some serious updating to be considered close to its star-rating.

Is a very clean hotel. Had a great experience in checking in. They upgraded us at no extra cost. Rooms where clean and large. Very quiet. Overall a great experience. I would definitely stay there again.

Huge hotel, perfect for young adults as there are two lounges on site. There are two separate pool rooms, a confectionary store that closes at around 10 and what seemed like a buffet-style eatery (didn't give it a try). As an individual who works in the hotel business, I found this hotel to be below the standard I have for a decent hotel room - very outdated rooms, included beds that fold onto the wall (however, the space containing the hydraulics behind the headboard - which is clearly visible - was very disturbing). No vending machines with snacks, or juice, hotel staff was busy on cell-phones and seemed to be in a rush to get you out of their way. O.K. hotel, not worth the price. Do not think I will be staying again.

The hotel was newly renovated. Staff were nice. Beds were & rooms were comfortable. We have a member of our family with special needs and so had to have a fridge and a microwave. They both were new and worked well. No kids TV though, you'll have to bring your own video. The problem was the intoxicated people visiting the bar,hanging out in the lobby and staying in the rooms. Wolf howls and war whoops abounded on our arrivial & stay but the security people were always around, I felt safer because of it and the rooms were quiet. Pool was clean but no toys or mucic and the room needed work.

The room was very clean and comfortable -- And the staff was extremely nice and friendly. Coffee and fast food restaurants within walking distance -- and a comfortable restaurant on the premises. Not the best part of town -- and bordered by liquor stores. But, convenient to the airport and easy to down town.

hotel had friendly service, was able to check in early, however rooms need some maintenance/ updating. the flooring in the bathroom was curling up in the corner of the room, and the room didn't have a fridge, and the halls aren't very insulated could hear everyone in the hallway. But great lobby, neat pool, and had an airport shuttle.

Although we only stayed the one night, the reception for us at the desk was wonderful. Very easy and friendly staff. We didn't get a chance to sample the morning breakfast fare but the desk staff made a point of describing it for us. Getting to the hotel wasn't the greatest due to it being right on Idylwild drive which can get pretty busy.

the room was surprisingly large with a comfortable bed. the decore needs help however the size of the room more than made up for the colors of furnature. Breakfast was a nice treat with an extensive selection, try to beat the rush as seating is limited.

The hotel was really more of a motel. It is very dated, From the old bedding that looks like it's from a Super 8 motel, to the kind of stale smell of the building.
It appears that a lot of migratory travelers use it for an inexpensive place to stay. Many of the guests were sharing rooms with co-workers. It's not any type of luxury place.
One strange thing is that I was there for 3 nights and all 3 nights I had to have them reactivate my room key. Not sure why?
A positive is that it is less than a mile from the airport.

This is the worst Hotel I've ever stayed in. When we first got there, we were tired from the trip, we were not greeted, and they didnt smile, one talked so quiet I couldnt hear her, we got our key went to our room, layed down and not even 10 minutes into our nap some man came in our room with a room card! He quickly appologized and said "im sorry i must been givin the wrong room?" I called the front desk and they apologised and said they would take care of it! HELLO?!!! The fan didnt work in the bathroom, the pool was dirty and the ceiling was missing and there were exposed wires everywhere, there was gross rust spots on the ceiling in the bathroom, along with someone elses hair in the tub, when we went swimming we got there 15 minutes before closing started doing some laps and a man came in and said "WERE TURNIBG OFF THE LIGHTS IN 10 MINUTES!" tHEY CAME BACK AFTER 10 MINUTES, DIDNT EVEN LET US SWIM AFEW MORE MINUTES! wHAT HAPPENED TO CUSTOMER SERVICE???!!!.....anyway, never again!!!!

Definitely nice people at check-in and check-out. The rooms were nothing special. The real problems I had were the door to the site didn't fully close, and the shower did not have a scald guard system on it. So I could tell when others were using their rooms. SUCKS! Oh, also, the beds, LIKEA STIFF SHEET OF PLYWOOD. Also, what's the use in having a bathroom exhaust fan, if it doesn't work. LOL

Basicly we spent couple of our roaming around the city and came back for night rest. The room was ok, however we did not get anough towels. Overall everything was ok. There was no free nreakfast like in another motels in the city;( Had to drive 15 minutes to get breakfast.

Hotel was 'Grand and Stately', just as imagined. Staff very helpful. Views from room, over Sunken Garden, to river, exquisite.

it started with the front desk trying to make me pay when i already did online. but after they let me use their pc to print receipt all was good. the staff was great. The hotel room was my ideal bedroom. loved it!!!!!!! Salt water pool was a neat experience. kids loved the slide. and we all enjoyed the hot tub. Breakfast was mostly packed up at 9:45 when we got down to it but it was still real good! thanks for the great night away!

Service was great, motel was clean, beds were cheap (poor quality - uncomfortable - I found beds in Mexico to be more comfortable) and the location was too far from the city.

We stayed in Saskatoon and enjoyed the Jazz festival in the park, visited with friends and had a great prime rib buffet in the restaurant in the hotel.

The room was average size, nice deep soaker tub (always a bonus!) and spotlessly clean, modernly decorated. All in all the hotel exceeded my expectations and it was nice to have free parking available in downtown Saskatoon. However, my only complaint with my stay, is that there is next to no insullation in the walls, and you can hear everything. If people are talking in the room next door, they may as well be next to you on the bed - same goes for people in the hallway, or bathroom. So, if you're looking to sleep soundly through the night, and are normally a light sleeper, this is probably not the hotel for you. If you can put up with some noise, or like to make new noisy friends in the hall, then head on over. Nice big pool, and generusly sized hot tub, however hot tub water was less then hot.

...and so the corridors are strewn with supplies, tools, boilers, mattresses, etc. Contractors are effing and blinding all day as they do work. Parking is utterly inadequate. Best thing about the hotel is the pub next door to which it is attached.

We were delayed in our check in and the hotel was able to accommodate without a problem - we ended up checking in at 11pm.
The rooms were perfect and I would definitely stay there again.
