Located in the heart of Old Quebec, just a stone's throw from Chateau Frontenac, this hotel was perfectly situated. The accommodations were good, not particularly luxurious, but the staff was helpful and friendly.

My Stay at Hotel Royal William

This was my first stay at this hotel in Quebec City, Quebec and travel companion and I were very impressed. The hotel has been completely renovated and the rooms are larger and very well appointed. It is very quiet and you can't even hear any road noise.
The front desk staff are very welcoming and will do anything for you and always have a smile.
I will most definitely stay again and recommend it highly to anyone visiting the area.
A great value for the dollar as well as this hotels rooms are quite a bit cheaper than most hotels in the area, including the Best Western which is located close by.

we visited the beautiful churches,walk tour in the city.Quebec City is amazing especially historical buildings above all streets are clean and the locals are friendly.Our room was 605 the carpet needs a change,it looks like dirty colors well it does not bother us.The whole trips was excellent.

Great for Old City AND Carnival!

This hotel is in a great location if you want to visit both Carnival and the old city. We enjoyed dining at many of the nearby restaurants and found the short walk to Carnival to be very convenient. Our Parliament view was great because we could see the entrance to Carnival and the old city. My only complaint is that they don't have refrigerators in the room. They will store perishables in a fridge behind the concierge, or you can pay $15 or so per day for a portable fridge. The service was fantastic. We called housekeeping for a couple things and both times they showed up in about 1 minute - very attentive!

The room was exactly as advertised on their website. The beds are extremely comfy and the room was spotless. There is a restaurant on site (a bit expensive though), but no room service. This was a very enjoyable stay overall, would definitely recommend.

Nice Hotel outside of Old Town Quebec City

We enjoyed our stay at this hotel. We were able to save money by staying here instead of in Old Quebec City. One great perk was that the hotel has a free shuttle downtown, and is also on the public bus route. We were able to easily take the bus into the city every day, saving us parking or taxi fees. The hotel also offers free parking, which is difficult to find at many of the hotels in Quebec City.
The staff was friendly and spoke multiple languages for international travelers. The room was very modern and clean, but had one drawback, the bed was positioned close to the door. Couples wishing to get romantic should be forewarned that people in the hallway can hear everything! The restaurant at the hotel was very good but expensive. Overall, the hotel was worth it for our trip and we would definitely stay there in the future.

We noticed this hotel on our visit last year and decided to try it this time around.
Not only is this hotel tasteful, clean, and nicely decorated, it had everything that we could have needed for our three-day stay (including a spa, heated pool and an ipod/iphone doc), AND it is in a perfect location for walking to restaurants, shopping, etc. The staff is polite, cheerful, helpful, and eager to make your stay the best it can be. This hotel exceeded our expectations.

On arrival we did not get the room we reserved (2 double beds/king size). On the first night we had to sleep in a very small room with one double bed, and a noisy air conditioner.

The hotel was in the middle of Old City, near some wonderful shops, art galeries and restaurants. Since it was across the street from the back side of a museum, it was quiet, and was an easy walk to the Funiculaire, which takes you up the hill to the Frontenac and promenade area of the city.
Our only problem was that the coffeemaker did not work, and the maids did not speak English. Otherwise, the staff was fabulous!

Our stay at the hotel was very nice. The desk people were very pleasant and most helpful. The concierge service helped us to find a dinner restaurant within walking distance - based on our price and dress. They even had sample menus to help with selection. The next day we needed to find a pharmacy. Again, the desk personnel pointed out a store and gave us a map.
The room was very nice, comfortable. The bathroom was large - but needed a chair or table to put personal items on.
Breakfast was included. A menu was given guests to select their preferences. The food was good! Service was wonderful!
Check out was smooth and easy.
The area is very French! All are very helpful to try and use English so we could understand.
The entire Quebec area is extremely friendly!
The location of the hotel is in "Old Quebec". The area has many quaint shops and restaurants. We were within easy walking distance to the ship port.
I would recommend this hotel to all!

Hotel 71 was convenient to everything we wanted to do in the city. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. They provided us with points of interest and bikes for our touring at no charge. The interior was bit more modern then expected, but still very nice. We had a nice view from our seventh floor room and the room was very spacious.

This hotel is close to the airport, but without the noise of the planes. The beds are comfortable and the rooms are clean. The desk staff were not able to adequately explain the charges to our credit card, nor were they able to give us an idea of how much it would cost for the taxi ride to the airport.

we arrived late--no problem checking in. our request to have rooms side-by-side was granted. smoking room was available. lobby smelled like chlorine from nearby indoor pool but that was OK with us. good free breakfast with freshly made waffles, OJ and decent coffee. bring your own yogurt. good value and comfort for the money, and a quick drive or $30 taxi to the old town at les Petites Champlaines.

Spotlessly clean, extremely comfortable bed. No carpeting--good for those with allergies I think, and the floor was super clean. Great choices at breakfast--both hot and cold. Convenient bus to Old Quebec City almost across the street...just 15-20 ride and comfortable and inexpensive. Free parking for the car at the hotel. Courteous and helpful staff. Tourist information center is across the street.
Only one small problem---- which was resolved by the hotel. They did not think our credit card had been charged for the total amount of the room plus taxes. I think they thought they did not work through Orbitz. I am not sure if this was an Orbitz problem or the hotel problem. We checked our credit card bill when we returned home and we had been billed as we had said.

Not close to the old town, but convenient tourist info and bus stop just across the street. Leave the car at the hotel, avoid downtown parking nightmare, and ride the #400 bus line all day for just CND $3. About 20min ride to the old city.Free ecolobus shuttle up & down the city from there.Smart deal.
A 10 min walk to few choices of dining places around. Breakfast can be crowded with waves of families w/kids. The pool is small, good enough for kids.
Overall quite correct, modern rooms.

The first room in Le Port Royal Hotel that we were put in was very nice--hard wood floors, king-sized bed, flat screen tv. The only problem was that it was directly above a pool hall/bar. The music was not ear-splitting loud, but it was enough to disturb the sleep of a light-sleeper like myself. When we asked to be moved to a different room, the manager was very pleasant and accommodating. The room was much smaller, and not quite as elegant as the first room. The location is great. A short, but mostly uphill walk to the area around the Chateau Frontanac. There was lots to do right around the hotel, especially if you like antique shopping.

Le Port Royal and Suites was very friendly with a wonderful location in Old Town. We enjoyed a wonderful small suite which had all the amenties and storage for our clothes and bags. The staff is excellent and knowledgeable and were able to secure all reservations, dining and tours within moments.

The room was big and had a long shelf on the side for suitcase you do not have to bend to get your stuff from the suitcase on the floor. It is a short drive to the old city and shopping.
