It was a decent hotel. Very close to the tunnel which was nice also within walking distance of downtown. I went with some friends and we went just to go to the bars and ceasers. The shuttle that ran around was also really nice, it was free and could pretty much take you anywhere downtown so we didn't have to walk alot downtown at night. Nothing super special but defiantly one of the cheapest you're going to get that close to downtown. Planning on staying there again the next time I am in Windsor.

We've stayed here before and know that it's an older hotel, but for the price, it was a good deal. Location is great! The bed looked like some kind of "flop house" furniture - bedspread didn't cover box spring, 3 white pillows just tossed toward headboard - nothing homey or comfy looking about the bed. Room didn't get cleaned one day even though we DID remove the "do not disturb" sign when we left the room around 11:30am. Housekeeping never checked back even after they left a message on our phone because we didn't answer (maybe because we had vacated the room!) The next day I did alert the staff that we were leaving for the afternoon, the "do not disturb" sign was off the door and would appreciate our room being cleaned. Front desk staff got a little snippy with me. Room did get cleaned though. I don't like paying for parking, especially since it's a first come/first served basis and the slots are narrow, but apparently that's because Windsor owns all lots/ramps.

Great Location, but very noisy

My friends and I (ages between 19-22) went to the bars, casino, and clubs. We had a great time. This was my 5th trip to Windsor. I have stayed twice at the Holiday Inn and I honestly don't think I will ever stay there again. I have also stayed at the Quality Suites and Caesars. Quality Suites is little more in price but certainly worth it. It's not far from the Holiday Inn but it is must quieter and nicer, well worth the price. Caesars is the best option if you like to gamble but too overpriced. If you're willing to spend a little more money I would recommend Quality Suites over Holiday Inn.

We were only there for one night. Beds were comfy and they provided a free Shuttle every half hour to and from the other Comfort hotels and the casino. The Shuttle runs until 3am for all of the late night party animals. The casino is near everything so even if you are not going to the casino it is nice. It was good for the price which was 200 dollars cheaper then the hotels I looked into. I Recommend if you are not a hotel snob and looking to stay some where for a night or two for cheap.

This hotel was clean, affordable and a nice location. Nothing fancy but if you want a nice room with great views of the river and away from the madness but centrally located to bars/casino/transportation, this is a good spot.

Great Hotel Option for Detroit Entertaintment/Sport Events

Great hotel if you plan to attend Detroit entertainment/sport events. The location to the tunnel bus depot is awesome (right across the street). The condition of the hotel is ok--nothing fancy but served its purpose for a place to stay for one night. The suite that we stay in was nice. The bed was very comfortable and my husband and I slept very well. We would definitely stay here again if we planned to attend a entertainment/sport event in Detroit.

I like the hotel, but the location is not very good, because is far from downtown. The room is clean and comfortable. The staff is friendly and attentive. Just the breakfast is not good, also has no variety, and nobody explains how things work.

Expection: When there are 2 guests there should be 2-coffee packs, 2 cups, 2 cream- 2 sugar -2 no sugar sweetners 2 tea bags.
Night 1- One coffee no cream
Night 2- No replenishments at all
As a security depeosit they ran my AMX for authorization of $50. At check out they did not want to return or destroy that authorization??? Made no sense to me why they would want to keep it. I wrote void and had a copy made. Reception seemed put off but its not her credit card...

Room was large enough for two people. Carpet needed to be cleaned. It was pretty dirty. Bathroom fan very noisey. Good location.

It was a nice experience. The only issue I had was with location. It was in a very nice neiborhood, however, if you are going to Windsor for the casinos and night life, there were many hotels closer to the action.

The Windsor Hampton Inn was clean and staff was friendly. The continental breakfast included a couple of hot items and the staff was very accomodating. We were on our way from a stop in Dearborn Michigan to Niagra Falls though Ontario. We planned for two nights at a compeditor hotel but only stayed one and found the Hampton in Windsor. It made our trip much more enjoyable.

The Travelodge Ambassador was very comfortable and well maintained. There was ample amount of space capacity for my belongings and If I needed anything room attendants were prompt and courteous. It is also central to surrounding locations in the area.

Went to festival down town along the river. Met friends traveled by train, 15 mins to train station. Close to many places to eat Applbee's next door. Clean comfortable room. Looks like new renovation was done.

Even though there is renovations going on, the hotel was very clean and quiet. The only noise was a large amount of young people staying there for a baseball tournament. I wasn't as disrupted as my sister was across the hall from me but her room was at the elevator and there was some loud talking in the hall way at a very early hour. The staff was not only courteous but extremely helpful. I have family in the area and on our next visit we will be stay at this hotel again.

ATTENDED NEARBY AIRSHOW. ROOM WAS MUSTY SMELLING AND THE TOILET FLUSH LEVER WAS BROKEN. EXPERIENCED LOUD NOISES AT NIGHT FROM WHAT SOUNDED LIKE CHILDREN PLAYING TAG IN ROOM ABOVE MINE. ROOM DID NOT FEEL "COMFY". PROBABLY WOULD NOT STAY THERE AGAIN. THOUGHT WITH THE "RAMAMDA" NAME, THE HOTEL WOULD BE BETTER. STAFF WAS GREAT HOWEVER!!

The hotel was clean and quiet. Owners of the hotel are not respectful of privacy, though. We were traveling with 3 dogs and during booking no mention of procedure for pets was mentioned. Upon arrival, we were watched from the lobby while we situated ourselves and upon seeing dogs get out of the car the female owner started yelling across the parking lot and the male owner started calling the room. An additional fee of $10 was imposed (minimal and insignificant) for the laundering of the bedding in the room. Is this not supposed to be performed after every guest leaves!!!??? A fishing pole was also stolen off of my trailer during the night even though the car and trailer were parked directly in front of my room.
All that said, the price was fair and the rooms were outdated but clean and comfortable. Any travelers interested in this motel should understand the low rates are good for the wallet, but there are some drawbacks that need to be considered before booking.

the hotel we stayed at was nothing more then that price. the lock on our door wasent working which made me a bit concirned about my saftey. their pool was surprisingly nice.

This hotel was pretty sub-par. The receptionist was an older lady who was not very respectful. The internet connection was the worst connection I have ever experienced in a hotel. It kept cutting in and out. It was ridiculous. I had to sign some waiver at check-in that forced me to adhere to rules. It was so degrading - made me feel like a second class citizen or like I am kid being talked down to by my parent. The toilet would not stop flushing unless you manually brought the handle to the up position.
