This hotel has easily been one of the best hotel experiences that I've been to. The service is extremely personalized and the hotel was entirely spotless. The rooms are very large and very well decorated. They were very accommodating to any requests and the room service food was 4/5.

Disapointing for a Four Seasons
-

- Aug 2, 2010
Location was fantastic. Just very disappointed with the hotel itself. Not to sound "snooty", but rooms, elevators, etc. were similar to a holiday inn. Just not at all what we expected from a four seasons. This was to be a special trip and is why we splurged for the four seasons. Wouldn't stay there again for how much it was to stay and to eat lunch ($80, no alcohol). Maybe for half.

Great hotel stay

Chemicalkinetics
- Dec 30, 2012
I have a wonderful experience, and I will name some of my good and not so good experience. Every single hotel staffs (6-7) I encountered were friendly, polite and attentive. The hotel room was clean and large, and the bed was comfortable. The room curtain shade was also thick and tight enough to block out all sunlight. I got free internet as well which is great. There was no refrigerator if that is important to you. The hotel restaurant was ok too (only eat there once). I paid a bit less than $100 per night, so it is cheap for a high quality hotel in downtown where many things are very close by. The bathroom was clean and offered most of the necessary items, soap, shampoo, lotion, towels...etc. What I do not like (and many others have mentioned) is the expensive parking fee in this area. The hotel offers valet and self parking. Self-parking is $29 not including tax. The local parking lots which are not associated with the hotel were also expensive and the parking staffs (again not associated with this hotel) were just mean-spirted. Had it not been the expensive parking, I would have given a 5-star rating. Maybe I expected too much.

Lovely hotel, wonderful staff. Friendly and informative. Quick to bring up fresh towels, extra coffee filters. Always refer to me with my last name when answering phone. Beautifully decorated for Christams~even had a Santa Claus! Valet quick when leaving. Nice restaurants and pub and very centrally located to walking everywhere. My jeep wouldn't fit in their underground parking lot ($29 per day)so Valet parking($39) for 3 days plus tax cost me $132.21...way too much, especially because we walked everywhere!

I got a very good deal through a major online travel site and have no complaints. I had minimal interaction with the staff and did not use the amenities so cannot comment on those aspects of the hotel. The room was clean. The bed was very comfortable. The location was great. This was a very nice hotel and an excellent location for the price. I would stay again.

Very nice hotel however the parking is a bit of a challenge which we did expect from a downtown location. Very pricey to park with the hotel for in and out priveleges so we chose an underground option just down the street. The hotel is close to just about everything! The room was nice but showing signs of wear such as wallpaper peeling in areas and light fixtures that were a bit tarnished. Overall we were very happy with our stay and appreciated being upgraded to a king room as well.

- Dec 31, 2012
Stayed here for 3 days in December. Requested a room with a balcony and got one on the 4th floor. The room was big but very dry. There were 2 space heaters in the room which had to be used as air seemed to be coming n from the doors to the balcony. The shower did not work well.
The staff members were friendly and receptive and accommodating.
Good value for he money due to location. Parking to overly expensive, especially if you need to do valet (almost $50).
Overall, a good experience.

Good location, lousy "green" policy..

Supposed green policy nonsensical - if you opt in basically say goodbye to all housekeeping including dusting of room and trash removal, without further explanation just seems a way for the hotel to simply save money on staffing costs.

Great stay. Clean, comfortable, reasonable distance to most venues. I was in town to check out a music act and the hotel made the experience all the more enjoyable.
Didn't check out the amenities other than the coffee shop kiosk in the lobby which was whatever.

Staff was great, room was very clean with the great view of the lake, but prices are at NYC level - 40CAD for valet parking and it is now when USD is less then CAD...very pricey trip it turned out to be. I didn't check the restaurants in te hotel, but dining around was also quite expensive.

Only there for one night, but everything was great. If you're going out for the night life, especially night clubs, this is slightly out of the way... this is a much better location to be near Yonge Street shopping and some of the bars. YOU DO NEED TO PAY FOR PARKING, they had $35 Valet, but the garage across the street only cost $16 for a night. Great hotel, wish we had been there longer!

This hotel was built over what was previously a bank, so check out the safe in the basement! Excellent location, walking distance to most places and connects to the path. Had a problem with the room initially, having upgraded to a superior room as we were staying six nights and wanted a room with a view, we were put in a room that overlooked an office block ten feet away from the window. Complained to the front desk, and after a couple of hours wait they put us in a better room. Good facilities in room, fridge, washing machine, tumble dryer, microwave and two ring hob, though not enough chairs.

very comfortable, well appointed room. Great location. Somewhat surprised by the quality of food. To my knowledge there is only lobby restaurant/bar and while is was ok, nothing special. One other thing that was annoying, from the main entrance to the hotel on King, you have to carry your luggage up stairs to arrive at reception on the lobby floor.

The location was amazing. We were greeted by very friendly staff. The parking lot is convenient and can be accessed from the hotel. The suite was good size. We really liked the fact that the bedroom was separated from the living room.
Breakfast ambiance was good. There were 2 harpists playing and they were amazing. Coffee and rest of breakfast itself was average. The waitresses were not the most friendly people...

Very nice stay, staff goes out of their way to be helpful and accommodating. The breakfast buffet is killer! The rooms are very quiet as we there on a holiday weekend but didnt hear any of the commotion on our floor. The pool area lacks in cleanliness and the pix on the website must have been taken several years ago. It was within walking distance to shopping and parks and we never felt ill-at-ease walking the streets even late at night. Church/Wellsely neighborhood is kickin'! Many small ethnic eateries close by. Very diverse culture in Toronto.

This hotel was suggested to us by friends in Toronto.
The location was great and even a parking lot was provided for short time parking beside the hotel so our friends could park and collect us from the hotel.
The amenities were great and we made full use of the swimming pool and the roof top spa pools.
Rooms were very comfortable with plenty of space and all amenities we required.
Breakfast was superb and our friends often joined us at breakfast. They decided to return for breakfasts here after we left as it was so good.
A great hotel to stay at and the price is so reasonable. I have told all our Canadian friends to book when they are in Toronto.

Great weekend getaway

We had a king size bed on the 6th floor...very clean, and quiet. Check-in was extremely busy (Friday). Check-out was quick. Great location,we walked everywhere. Parked in the public lot next door that charged less than the valet parking at the hotel.

I gulped when I was told my room was on the first floor. What that meant, however, was something like a beautifully set-up slightly bigger than usual room facing a, sort of, Japanese garden with trimmed trees and bushes right outside. Very fine small landscape outside, and yes that nice room. Bathroom small but perfect. Front desk and lobby raised so-so expectations. This is not a real service hotel -- and the staff by no means salutes or snaps to attention when you stand there with a question (well, one young guy did, but the others were half inattentive) but then again it is four-star not five, and they did the job okay. Restaurant seemed adequate but -- right next to the front door in the entry and entirely wide-open to the lobby -- more for breakfast or quick lunch than for serious dining. (For a pricey but very fine grown-up dinner -- no waiters named Todd with fresh pepper -try OPUS not far off.) A very happy stay at the Bloor Marriott -- but yes four stars not five-star grace notes. For my needs just fine. I will be back.
