Poor quality control.
Corporate Comfort Inn passed the issue to the Franchise owner of this specific hotel and distanced themselves from managing what appears to be poor supervision of house keeping staff.
The hotel looks tired, very little care to upgrade rooms that look a little worn and in need of a little TLC.

Needed to book asap due to funeral and living out of town - got last room at hotel - new facility - new rooms - hotel well designed - did not have breakfast - went to lounge at 9:30 am but had ended - only open until 10am on weekends - also pool slide only available for children on weekends - so amenities were average - but room was fantastic and friendly positive staff!

The hotel was convenient for us as we stayed there for a wedding reception. The price was overinflated. The bathtub drain was clogged with hair, when you took a shower the tub slowly filled up with water. After the water drained the tub was full of hair ewww !

I asked for a government rate and was charged full price for a room. The price for government rate is $99.00 per night on the Government Standing Offer your hotel has with the federal government which was not honored. I was given a room on the ground level which is considered the smokers floor when I asked for a non-smokers room. Could not sleep because of the smell and woke up with a huge headache because of my allery to cigarette smoke.

This hotel was located next to most shopping centers and most dining restaurants like the Keg,Red Lobster to just name a few.Travel distance to these shopping centers were no more then 3 Km away.
The hotel provided a light breakfast every morning toast,cereal,hard boiled eggs,waffles,muffins,tea,coffee,juice and milk.If a heartier breakfast was desired then you were in walking distance of a Tutti Frutti.
The staff at the hotel was very pleasant and provided you with extras you needed like extra pillows,towels ect...and amenities.
I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone travelling.

Chek-in was a gruff individual with no person skills whatsoever. No sense of humour and "just to the point". Breakfast was terrible, some salvation through sweet, attentive, apologetic, young blonde girl.
I'll never stop there again.

It wasn't the absolute worst ... but it wasn't what we expected.. after being told that all the non-smoking rooms were taken..we were moved to another co=owned hotel down the road... the proprietor was nice and friendly and tried to be helpful and accommodating.. but this was an older building.. a roadside.. truckstop ..type of hotel .. we were tired .. disappointed.. but just wanted a place to sleep.. but we were so close to the highway that we heard every rumble and rattle and squeal from every vehicle that rolled down the road.. we did not feel safe and secure..I actually checked for bedbugs and cleanliness of the bedding which was satisfactory.. but the owner did not know what my [...] confirmation sheet was and I'm still not sure if I paid for the room twice( once at the hotel check-in and again thru the [...] registration).. we also found some dirty smelly clothes and underwear in one of the drawers(found by my youngest daughter) and the kicker was we did not receive the free breakfast which was advertised with the original hotel ..

The Howard Johnson was comfortable; however, could not get high speed internet access as apparently their signal was not strong enough (and hardwire was not available) - this was disappointing as we required the internet for business purposes.
