I got what I expected

We weren't looking for anything more than a place to spend the night. The room was clean as was the rest of the hotel. The staff was courteous and helpful. The breakfast inthe morning was a nice addition.
It wasn't a high end hotel but then we didn't pay high end prices.

Clean rooms - overall nice property. Downsides - no tags to hang on your door so the maid starts banging away at 8:30 - if your room is on the highway 24 side the road noise from trucks is never ending - good food in the restaurant but the service is disjointed and slow (five visits and all were the same) Unfortunately the negatives outweigh the positives.

The hotel is very convenient to the 401. Check in was quick. Reserved 2 rooms. Both located on the 6th floor. One was in front of the elevator and the other in front of the soda machine. It would have been nice to have a room away from the noise of both. Room was clean and comfortable. Fridge was unplugged in one room, but worked fine once plugged in. The bathtub plugged up in one room, but was quickly repaired by maintenance. The sink drain in the other room was stuck closed and this was also repaired quickly by maintenance. The indoor swimming pool in the basement looked ok for kids but was not appealing for adults. The breakfast offered was fine. The hot choice was limited to scrambled eggs or hard boiled eggs. Styrofoam plates and plastic cutlery was used. I would have preferred real plates and silverware. The garbage cans filled up quickly with these items to overflowing. Not good for the environment and wasteful in my opinion. The overall service of the breakfast area could have been better, as plates and silverware ran out and garbage overflowed, Who wants to put your hand on the garbage in the can just to put your own in?? On the 2nd day of our 3 day stay our room keys de activited, so we had to go back downstairs and get them reactivated. Not pleasant after a long day away. Overall impression, average older Best Western. The beds remain comfortable as with Best Western standards. The room maids were non intrusive and efficient. The convenience to all amenities was great. There are lots of options for dining just down the street. Should request a room away from the elevator and ice/soda machine. Best Western in Great Falls, Montana is amazing as is The Best Western in Cornwall, Ontario. I had higher expectations overall, but for the price it was fine. Next time in Cambridge, Ontario I will try a different hotel as there are many to choose from.

Hotel was fine for a night. Internet was free and the television provided was good. Rooms were quiet. Bed was fine. Rooms were tired - definitely need updating. They smelled - essentially struck me as a smoking room that is now non-smoking and has been deodorized one too many times.

I really like this hotel. It is VERY conveniently located just off the 401, quiet, and comfortable accommodations.
The only complaint I have is that they apparently don't offer lunch restaurant service. Between 10 am and 5 pm, food service is not available to individual guests. But there are many places just down the street.

The only thing here, was I thought that I'd had booked for 2 queen sized beds, and instead got 2 double sized beds. We did some shopping that was near by, and also we were there, because we had a wedding to go to in Waterloo. And the room was clean, could have used a couple more big towels, and plus we did not have plastic drinking glasses in our room.
