The location is good and the hotel is clean and has a nice pool. Unfortunately, the hot breakfast takes ages to be served. The mangement in Dartmouth should take a look at the Days Inn in Edmunston to see how a hot breakfast works in a nice and expeditious way.

We were scheduled for a late check-in and the staff was waiting for us. The hotel is not "fancy," but is clean and has wireless Internet. It is very well located, and you will be in Downtown Halifax in 10-15 minutes by car, which is very convenient. The complementary breakfast is a "typical North American bacon and eggs." We recommend this hotel as it is not expensive and is well located.

An overall good experience, Your basic Holiday Inn, neither better nor worse than others of its kind. Although the hotel itself is not conveniently located, it has excellent access to cheap and convenient public transit.

definitely had much better experiences in cheaper hotels/motels. the room was clean, but awkwardly laid out [example: the sink was across the hall from the bathroom and the light switch for the sink area was on the opposite wall]. the entire hotel felt out of date and in a rundown neighborhood. parking fees were outrageous, staff was indifferent, and having to pay the bridge toll every time we crossed into and left halifax was very very annoying. would never return to this location.

Staff were very helpful. The hotel is undergoing continued renovation.
The location is very good as it is within walking distance to the ferry to Halifax! No need to pay Halifax downtown hotel rates.

I had booked a smoking room and when I got there the whole hotel had gone Non-Smoking so I was very disappointed that I hadn't been informed of this before I arrived seeing that I booked 4 months in advance. They were accommodating in that they gave me a patio suite so that I had access to the outdoors from the room and could smoke outside.
The office staff were very friendly and accommodating, the cleaning staff were alright as they left a ring in the bathtub for a couple of days while I was there without cleaning it.
There is no pool at this facility but all in all it was a good stay.

This Hotel blew my mind. I thought I was going to a Best Western. This is not your typical Best Western. Full service with an Excellent Restaurant. I ate there every single night. The beds were soft and very comfortable and the rooms were large. Plenty of room to relax and work at the same time. I have found my new hotel in Dartmouth and booking through [...] gave me a great discount.

Went to Halifax to visit friends and stayed in this little hotel. The staff was friendly and helpful but the rooms were a little dated: old TV, pull out sofa instead of 2 beds, just 2 lamps and no room lighting. The area is a little run down, but we felt safe the whole time. All in all a not a bad place for the price, but we would have liked a bit more.

Convenient, easy stop

Easy stop-off point located between Halifax and the Airport. I got in quite late and left fairly early in the AM for a long drive. Staff was friendly and accomodating; they helped me make this work seamlessly. Its a no-frills place that met my needs perfectly, but wouldn't be described as hip, cushy, or beautiful. Their parking area is small, but there were nearby lots I was able to use instead.

This certainly met my expectations about a bed and breakfast. Super clean rooms, nicely and uniquely decorated with a breakfast that was off the charts with homemade muffins & jams, eggs/bacon cooked to order, fresh juice ...and a great variety of fresh fruit. I would certainly recommend for others to consider.

While it was on a very busy street which made sleeping difficult the overall experience was excellent. However, the bed and breakfast I stayed in was in Halifax, Nova Scotia, not California.
