We wanted to be right downtown but not spend a ton of money. This place was perfect! The waterslide, pool and hot tub were an added bonus. The staff at the Regal Beagle were pretty awesome and Randi at the front desk answered all of my 48 questions. Within walking distance of a bunch of clubs and bars. We'll stay again!

Visited on a quick business trip of 2 days. Mmost things in winnipeg shut down very early, so if you arrive late be prepared to manage most things on your own. Only the check in counter has staff. the overall hotel is nice, it has good food, very comfortable beds, spacious room. It said business ready room, I felt it like a regular room. The furniture and carpets, and bathroom configuration all seems old and outdated. Location is unbeatable, right in downtown, when weather permits, in walking distance of everything. Quite frankly expected much more from the description and expectations set by the internet site. It didnt feel particularly luxurious in any way. For the rate, you would expect something completely different. Certainly renovated.

Good business location in the City

It was in an easy to get to location near my customer and good restaurants. The hotel is an older facility which needs updating but is still comfortable until that time. No special amenities are available but the location gives you many outside options.

A Pretty Average Holiday Inn

This was a fairly average experience for a Holiday Inn. The property didn't seem particularly full when I was there, so it seemed strange to hear a dump truck emptying a dumpster outside my room (201) at 4:30am.
I had to fix my toilet after it wouldn't stop running. Not a perfect stay.
Much of downtown is walkable from here, so the location is very convenient and the price is reasonable for the area. If you'd stayed in other Holiday Inns, this one may come across as slightly below average. Not bad, but nothing special.

The bed was really comfortable and the staff really friendly everything the bathroom except during my stay august 4 there was a false fire alarm,i have to use the stair thru 15th floor.because the elevator wasnt working due to false fire alarm it happen two times....

The location of "The Inn at the Forks" is ideal, as The Forks is a very interesting tourist destination -complete with an eclectic variety of shops, places to stop for a "light bite" or full meal & beautiful scenery.
As I grew up in Winnipeg, I have an easy time finding my way around. The Forks is very central for all locations within the city; as traffic is very manageable, you can travel from one area of the city to another in a relatively short amount of time.
The Hotel is very service oriented. I think the price is a "little steep" for a room only, i.e. without any breakfasts or spa treatments, for example, being included. However, the quality of service offered & the high level of cleanliness make it the #1 choice for my husband & I - whenever we visit Winnipeg.

I use this Hotel often travelling from Canada back to the US. It is the perfect location for me to catch a predawn flight.The free shuttle is always ready to get me the five minutes to the airport.
The rooms are clean and comfortable ,staff are courteous and friendly,food is good in the dining room and lounge ,room service is fast,free computer access in room is great.Its all good.
Wish they had a loyalty program for non residents though.

Last minute funeral panic!

We were not expecting a great price because of last minute booking so we understand that pricing levels go up when there are few rooms available. We paid a high price but at least the Hotel measured up and we had a comfortable stay close to the airport that enabled us to return a rental car the night before we left, thus saving us $90 that would not have been possible without that location. I think that we got the last room in the city on July 20th[...]. By the way... they have a shuttle but a city bus runs by to downtown and back to the airport right in front of the hotel.

The Sandman is in a convenient location about half mile from the Winnipeg Airport in a good location for a $8.00 cab ride. It's my first choice of hotels in the vicinity of the Winnipeg Airport.
Breakfast at Denny's, dinner at The Chop and all within the same building as Sandman Hotel...try to beat that!

I believe I chose a great hotel through Orbitz. Because I walk with a cane, I had asked for a handicapped washroom. It was not available at the time. When I checked in, one of the front desk staff had the exact room I required. This hotel does not have a walk-in shower, though, for folks in a wheelchair. All staff were professional, attentive and very friendly. The hotel is very clean and the pool and whirlpool wonderfully relaxing and clean.
Hotel does not have room service or a full-service restaurant. However, it does have an amazing full serve yourself buffet for breakfast (included in your room cost). I found the price Orbitz afforded me was great considering I am on a retiree's buget.
I would stay there again ALL BECAUSE OF THE STAFF AND THEIR DOING EVERYTHING POSSIBLE TO MAKE YOUR VISIT MOST ENJOYABLE.

I was at this motel because it was close to the airport and I needed a convenient place to stay. When my flight was cancelled (5:00 a.m.) I phoned Comfort Inn and got my room back. They were very courteous about that and I appreciated it so much.
Even though the breakfast was not served in time for me, they offered me a muffin. It was wonderful to have coffee in my room and available in the lounge area. Especially real creamers v. coffee mate (dry creamer)in the lounge were appreciated.
It was quiet, so I could relax.
The only negative thing is lack of an elevator, but I ended up on the 1st floor so it was not a big deal for me.
No qualms about recommending this one to others -- clean and safe it was. Staff were so courteous. Airport transportation provided was a big plus for me. I've been to others that I would not recommend.
There was even a Denny's within walking distance, but no fast foods....that would have been okay, too.
