The overall experience was good...the continential breakfast was nothing to drual over could add some ummff to it....also the gym could be opened a bit earlier like 6am instead of 7am...but the positive the customer service was great, the staff very friendly& the beds were comfortable & lots of pillows...lloovveeddd tht!!!
overall I would reccommend to others, staff was nice and rooms clean...it was a good weekend :D

On arrival I requested a wake up call. It never came and apparently it had not been activated. The bathroom sink did not drain properly nor did the bath. The room was clean and comfortable but would probably not stay there again.

when we book it, it said it's extra large room with sitting area. But when we arrived, we only get the regular room. No refrigerator. Loud AC system.
Very disappointed. Only the location is good. Easy access to highway.
Also, we were originally looking forward to their pool and spa and guess what, when we checked in, we were told it's closed for renovation. Totally screw up our 4 days trip.

Everything was adequate, if not lackluster. Breakfast was bland one morning, but better the next. Surprisingly good coffee, both in room and restaurant.
Common hallway areas were smelly.
Key cards didn't work on first try so had to get them reprogrammed. Also the key to underground parkade didn't work, necessitating another reprogramming.
Hotel met our needs, but probably wouldn't stay more than one night.

I was truely amazed with the level of service I received in this hotel! Fantastic! They were able to switch rooms for me, as I was initially on the smoking floor and they were happily willing and able to move me to a non-smoking floor. I stayed here because the rest of my relatives did and wanted to be near them.
Everytime I needed help with directions, the front desk was so extremely helpful! I had no problems driving myself around and catching the skytrain!
Waking up to that beautiful mountain view every morning was the best part! I would definitely return to this hotel the next time I come back to Surrey!

Ideal location walking distance to shopping and restaurants, even better if you have a car. Staff was very helpful and prompt to respond to any problems with the room. Rooms were nice size and beds were very comfortable.

The Surreys Days Inn was is a small Inn but comfortable, the room was larger than most other Days Inn. It is located next to the AirTran station, which was a great connection for us to traval from and two Vancouver and also for us to get to the airport. It has no pool nor fitness center.

With the exchange rate being what it is, hotels can be expensive to find right now in Canada, but we did expect a little more for what we paid. For example the staff at the desk was not friendly and there was no refrigerator in the room. The rooms were nice and quiet and the area is convenient if you want to be in the Surrey Langley vicinity and want to avoid the extremely high prices in downtown Vancouver.

This is a great hotel for travelers staying for more than a couple nights. We visit family and are usually there for at least a week. It is a small one bedroom apartment with full kitchen with dishwasher plus washer and dryer in the unit. The hotel restaurant isn't open for breakfast but if you go grocery shopping, all the dishes and untensils are there for you to use. There's also an electric faux fireplace that you can set to blow heat or not but you can enjoy the fake fire. My only gripe is that they need to upgrade to flat screen TV's from the current old CRT's. Their wireless internet is quick and reliable.
There is bridge construction going on over the inlet to Vancouver not far from the hotel so if you have to go that way, plan extra time for the trip. There is no construction noise, however.
If you are lucky enough to get a room on an upper, north facing floor, you will be rewarded with spectacular views of the north shore mountains on clear days.

If you're looking for a quiet place with good room service; this may not be your 1st choice. it was pretty noisy; from traffic, people in hall talking loudly on cell phones and people just hanging out.
Reception staff was a bit unfriendly, felt like I was imposing on their time by checking in.
I had to physically go downstairs to order my room service because I couldn't get anyone via phone. When my meal came, it was cold. I ordered a steak (medium well), it came practically raw. But here's the fun part -they gave me a plastic fork in which to eat my raw steak (don't know if anyone's ever tried to eat a steak w/plastic - no easy feat).
Oh, if on business and need adequate lighting for grooming - you might be very disappointed. Lighting in vanity area was just above the flicker of a candle (actually a few candles would have done a better job).
If you're looking for a lively place to stay and don't plan to order room service, then this might be okay place to stay.

Vancouver Olympics Stay

We stayed at the Holiday Inn in Surrey for 2 nights during the Vancouver Olympics. The hotel was terrific, very clean, free breakfast was good (especially the cinnamon rolls!). The man working the desk was extremely helpful to us in terms of giving us directions to the SkyTrain stations/parking, as well as ordering taxis for us, which arrived very promptly. In addition, we were allowed to check-in prior to the official check-in time, which was very nice and quite unexpected.

It was a very nice hotel. I wish I could have enjoyed it longer. We arrived at 2am and departed at 7am. We did get some nice sleep while we were there and they had a nice breakfast in the morning. Everything was clean and neat. I would definitely stay here again if I were in the area. My only complaint is not specific to this hotel but all the hotels in the area. I stayed only one night (only a few hours), and the normal $175 rate was jacked up to $400 because of the olympics. This is ridiculous. I would have stayed two nights, but my budget was eaten up with the one night stay.
