It was OK. Just needed a place to lay over on the way to Lakee Louise. Restaurant was reasonably priced and the food was quite good.

We stopped for a pit stop during the beginning of our journey. Beds were comfortable, the restaraunt had great service and decent prices. The bartender upstairs was friendly. Great views from the restaraunt and bar. The hotel is still under renovation. The room I was in had been renovated but needed some attention on a difficult to latch door.

Pretty good motel

It was okay - pretty expensive for being a basic room. The hall had a weird smell but didn't affect the room. The sheets didn't fit the bed - too small so kept coming loose and we had to keep remaking it. But the room was very clean and quiet.

We found the motel to be clean, with freindly staff and handy to everything. We go to Kamloops every 2 years and will not hesitate to stay there again.

Quiet location for the price

The hotel needed paint and the hot tub needed to be up-dated. We enjoyed a great view and liked the quiet room.

The room was clean and the area was quiet! 3 minutes up the road was a Tim Horton's - gotta love that!

The Howard Johnson Inn Kamloops, BC was totally renovated in 2006. We are located in the core of the City Centre, walking distance to Riverside Park, and close to Restaurants and Shops.
We offer Complimentary Continental Breakfast. We have High Speed Wireless Access in all rooms.

The staff are nice and friendly. The location is okay. The room is clean but looks old and needs a little refurbishing or repainting for a nice clean smell.

OK stopover point

Room was fine, beds were comfortable. Shower worked well. Good stopover point from a long drive.
At first the internet wouldn't work, but the person at the front desk rebooted their router and it worked fine after that.
Two problems with the room. It was a hot day and the a/c didn't cool the room much. In fact it started to make so much noise we turned it off. Also there was no screen, so we couldn't open a window when it cooled off. The deadbolt on the door stuck and we had to struggle to get it open. Could have been scary if there were a fire.
We found a nice noodle place nearby the hotel. Excellent fresh spaghetti for bargain prices.
