This 2 story hotel overlooking the ocean at the south end of Campbell River, truly is close to adventure. Our view is of the entrance to Discovery Passage, a very busy water way for all kinds of marine traffic, highlighted in the summer by cruise ships heading to and from Alaska. While the view from the room is great, we know you will want to go out and take in all the oceanside experiences of Campbell River. Starting with the easily accessible beach and Rotary seawalk right across the street, none of the activities and services of the area are very far away. Famous for its fishing Campbell River also a destination for exceptional whale, bear and wildlife watching. Other activities include hiking, biking, kayaking just to name a few. Whether for leisure or business, we have the features you need. As well as complimentary continental breakfast, indoor pool and hot tub, all 39 rooms are equipped with air conditioning, mini fridge, microwave and free in room coffee. Free wireless internet access throughout the hotel, and a guest use computer is available in the lobby. Pets are welcome in several designated pet friendly rooms. Very nice though there was a problem with our prepaid reservation which the new desk clerk could not locate. The next day a new clerk took care of the problem.

Description
Whether you are travelling by vehicle from Port Hardy in the north of Vancouver Island, or from Nanaimo and Victoria in the south, the Coast Discovery Inn & Marina is easily accessible off Highway 19, also known as the "Inland Island Highway". If travelling by air, the Campbell River Municipal Airport is eight kilometres from the hotel and offers shuttle or car rentals. The Harbor Airport is two kilometres away for those arriving by seaplane.

Not spectacular but okay

I was awakened EVERY morning by the cleaning staff, even when the Do Not Disturb sign was on the door handle housekeeping staff were clearly present in the hallways engaged in loud conversation. LOUD LOUD LOUD hotel. Bathroom is TINY with poor water flow.

Good location and the price was right

We were Christmas shopping and the hotel was not that far out of town and at a good location. The room was very clean. I usually drink decaf coffee but the room only came with reg. coffee, otherwise the room had everything we needed, example: iron and board, fridge tv and very comfortable bed.
