Lobby is nice, staff was nice, rooms were pretty clean, by no means am I a picky person, but I enjoyed the simplicity of the room which featured a desk, a coffee table, a dresser with a decent sized tv on top, and a clean looking bathroom.
Pool and workout room was nice to have. 20-30 second walk to the c-train.
Thoroughly enjoyed the stay here.

I attended a business meeting and had breakfast served in the meeting room itself. The staff for the meeting room were all friendly and helpful. The room that I stayed in was spacious and comfortable.

Great Rooms, location and value

This hotel had really large rooms, two TVs, a wet bar. The drinking vessels were nice glass. The room had a sitting area and a small dining table. It even had an electric tea kettle...very nice to have a cup of tea that didn't taste of coffee. There was a separate bedroom area. This for the same cost of a regular hotel room. The room also had a balcony and a great view of Calgary. The only problem we had was operating the air conditioner...so the room stayed too warm at night. We opened the bedroom window and the balcony door and the room cooled down without the AC. The hotel was within a 10 - 15 minute walk of the Tower where the Rocky Mountaineer train departed. Another plus for us. I would defitely stay in this hotel the next time I'm visiting Calgary.

If you are an urban traveler who wants the experience of staying in a downtown loft environment, this is the hotel for you. The room is fabulous for entertaining friends with it's balcony and kitchen/bar.
If however you are a business traveler, this is not my choice of hotel. First, there is no elevator. You must carry your luggage up a few steps to be buzzed into the hotel. Then you must carry you luggage up another 8 or steps to the check-in room. And then, you have to carry your luggage up another flight of steps if you happen to be on the 3rd floor.
The room is not carpeted, so bring a pair of slippers.
The bathroom is small, although equipped with a cool shower. There is no vanity space. Only shampoo, conditioner and a bar of soap are provided.
The entrance door is accessible via a keypad, along with a code to get into the hotel. There is not a latch on the door. As a single female traveler, this did not make me happy.
There is no desk. If you work in your room, you will do it at a bar in the kitchen area, sitting on a backless bar stool.
The room is quite noisy, especially if you happen to have a room at the entrance to the staircase or below the outside smoking area. Once again, as a female traveler I did not feel 100% safe in my room.
There are no options for food on the premise. I did find a delightful Italian restaurant two blocks away. The staff did not have many dining recommendations. There is a Starbucks on the same block.
I travel to Calgary monthly and I will not stay at this hotel.

Was told that there were no rooms with hardwired internet and the WiFi was unusable unless you wandered the halls and lobby.

It's a very old hotel but maintained in an ok condition. The A/C did not properly work. Its a central a/c, so they gave us a air cooler instead of increasing the a/c. They are in a process of renovating the hotel. Local calls are free with in the room but once you are checked out they don't even let you make free calls from the front desk. So overall its not a great hotel for the amount you spend. Unless you don't have anyother choice you may choose this hotel. The convenient thing about this hotel is its close to 7th avenue (free train service within downtown).

Another relaxing stay at the Westin!

We love this hotel. The staff are always perfect and the rooms are very comfortable and updated. The only hitch this time was the gym and pool were being renovated so we did not get to work out with the 20th floor panoramic views. Starbucks in the bottom of the hotel - one of the best hotels in Calgary.

The staff is super friendly and accommodating.
The room was excellent...in-house restaurant serves quality food.
The head chef during dinner, came to each dinner table and introduced himself. He took a lot of his time to explain to me about Alberta's pride in their meat industry.
In all honesty, the prime rib was the best that I have ever had.
I would not hesitate recommending the Delta Bow Valley to friends or relatives visiting Calgary.

Staff was friendly, but place was a little run down although room was clean. I had trouble getting hot water one evening and was asked to "let it run about 15 minutes" to get some. It only took about 5-7 minutes and then there was plenty.

Excellent location, and a very obliging and helpful workforce. The spa is lovely and I was particularly pleased that they are obliging for smokers, and for an increment, they will let you have a smoking room with an extractor unit. Nice rooms. The internet service they provide could do with a facelift, but overall, as a business traveller, this was more than comfortable.

Spectacular Spa!
the Hyatt's Restaurant was good and the Catch Restaurant was Exceptional.
We came for the Calgary Stampede which was only two stops from the free transit. Also, taxis are always waiting outside.
Calgary itself is a beautiful city with fantastic hanging flower baskets lining the streets and a lot of outdoor dining and activities galore:)

I've stayed here several times, and each time it is truly amazing! I especially love the location near Prince's Island Park, with the bow river and lots of geese and ducks to watch. great walking/running path too. the service is excellent. the rooms are comfortable, quiet, clean and spacious... all the amenities I need. the food throughout the hotel is also excellent, from rm. service to the restaurants. I highly reccommend this hotel. Oh, and I love the pool, sauna and gym too.

Its located in downtown Calgary and a little hard to find. Maybe the signage needs to be bigger. The elevators are very small and often slow. But we were close to the Eau Clarie market, which is where we needed to go.
The breakfast was nice and there were lots of options.

First off, there's a reason this hotel is $50-$100 cheaper a night than the others. It's an older hotel/building with older decor and ammenities. However, I didn't get this hotel to stay inside but rather just a place to sleep. It was the cheapest by far and in a great location. Walking distance to the train line, Stevens ave and 17th ave; It's right downtown. Staff was friedly and eager to help. Wireless was struggling to get up to the 25th floor, but you could at least get a light signal. Many hotels in the area offer wifi, so you could actually just jump on their connection if it was stronger. three small elevators service the hotel and they were very slow. overall, you're getting what you pay for. Went during stampede and was a block away from the parade.

This was the best rate for that location and for the amenities.
I liked the apartment style kitchen and enough space in the rooms. Furniture is a bit old but it has all the features that i needed even free wireless internet. Staff was really friendly and helpful.

We had a late arrival so just checked in, went to bed and got up early to catch another flight. The bed was comfortable, clean and cozy. The decor was tasteful. The hotel is near the airport but takes almost 1/2 hour to get there as there is construction and a main road artery is now permanently closed. We were not informed of that when booking and it would have been helpful to know ahead of time. Also, it is wise to book the hotel shuttle early because it only seats 6. We were bumped because we were the last to reserve seats. We had to take a taxi to make our flight in time for check-in and customs.

c-Train come every 5 to 10 min.
only take about 15min to dountown calgary.
also you can find a lot of restaurant for short walk.

This hotel was the perfect combination of price and location. It is cheaper than some of the other hotels in the same area, but it is still new enough to be acceptable. The breakfast buffet was great and the internet access fast and easy to use. The rooms were taken care of very well. Every evening, I came back to a perfect room. There was a fridge and a microwave, and an ironing board and iron. I really couldn't ask for more.

The hotel was great - exterior might appear a little dated, but the service and interior were top notch. Close to most city center areas, plus can cover a great portion under roof through the Pass 15.

This hotel offers good value relative to other hotels in Downtown Calgary. However, the "recently updated" comment on their advertising is misleading based on the room that I had, which was clean, but worn. The three to four block walk to the free C-Train was pleasant in good weather, but probably would be otherwise in winter. The staff was very helpful with directions and advice about local merchants. There was a noticeable, intermittent collection of "street people" around the Subway/MAC's across the street which might unnerve some travelers.

This is by far one of the best places we have stayed for the price we paid! The location was somewhat in an industrial area, not very handy without a vehicle but since we had one it didn't matter. The parking lot was very well lit and monitored and therefore we didn't worry about our vehicle safety, and the staff was more than accommodating. The room was modern, spacious, and BOTTLED WATER WAS FREE! I know this may seem strange but after having to pay upwards of 5 dollars for water left in the room, to find it free was a very nice surprise. The beds were great, very very clean and quiet place. Might just be our new stay every time we visit Calgary!
