The people were very friendly and helpful. I only had breakfast but was very satisfied with that. The rooms were small and the bathroom only had a shower which for me is OK but that is the only down side I saw. The biggest plus on the hotel was the location. A block or two from great little shops, restaurants and pubs.

location is not good. no restaurant and shopping near by. not safe to walk on the street in evening. need taxi to everywhere. taxi is expensive and drivers do not speak english.
breakfast buffer is not bad, but is the same every day. you will lose appetite if you stay there for more than 2 days.

I have stayed in this hotel several times. Service is exceptional, rooms are large & very clean, hotel decor is outdated, lobby & atrium are very dark.

The hotel is located in the middle of Paulista avenue, 1 block from the avenue. The hotel location is good, but can be a little dangerous during the night after 9pm (everywhere in Sao Paulo). So the staff always recommend to use a taxi...
The bed was ok, the room clean and staff nice. A flat screen TV in the room, but only 2 channels in english.
This hotel is good value for money compared to other hotels of the same category.

Nice relaxed atmosphere. I was there strictly for business. Sao Paulo is sprawling and crowded. This is a quiet plate the stay. These are apartments. Located in a good area north of downtown Sao Paulo and 12 miles from the airport. Easy to take a bus to the Tieto bus depot and a short cab ride. AJB

The Novotel Sao Paulo Jaragua Convention is a good hotel at a nice budget value price. This historic hotel has beautiful gallery pictures of famous people who were previous guests. The hotel has good customer service with the restaurant and front desk. The city tours from the hotel were good. The hotel is very close to nightlife, restaurants, bars, discos, shopping malls, grocery stores, etc. The Republic Square environment around the hotel is good during the day and bad during the night due to no fault of the hotel so be careful at night. Overall, I would return to the hotel.

We were in Sao Paulo to attend a trade show. The hotel was very comfortable. Our room was nice - clean and quiet. No complaints. The location is excellent and the area seemed very safe. We were quite concerned about coming to Brazil after all the dire warnings to only go out in groups, etc., etc. That wasn't the case. If you observe the same caution that is required in any major city, ie. stay out of bad areas, etc. you should be fine.
The traffic in Sao Paulo is horrendous and really discourages sightseeing that requires a bus or taxi.
The lobby is very small and usually crowded.

vary nice and clean hotel but the receptionists were few for a 19 story hotel (only 2 and some times 1) and they spoke english very little (some of them did not at all) they were nice but they were not helpful enough the positive point about the location was that it was exactly infront of the bus stops

Muy bonito, con una atencion excelente, un desayuno muy variado (frio y caliente). La zona es muy tranquila, sobre la avenida pasan muychas lineas de omnibus que conectan con casi todo Ssan Pablo. a pocas cuadras esta el Shopping Ibirapuera (muy grande) a 25 minutos de caminata el parque Ibirapuera (un pulmon para semejante urbe).
El hotel tiene una pileta cubierta muy agradable para relajarse, gimnasio y sauna
Realmente la pasamos muy a gusto.

The good:The lobby is nice looking but the hotel tries too hard to make it look 'fancy' by placing bad replicas of paintings in the lobby. There are working elevators. The pre-paid reservations (via [...]) were easily found. The front desk tries really really hard. The rooms are clean and nearly look like the rooms pictured on the hotel's website and on Orbitz. The pool looks nice and seems rarely used. There is a workout room and a restuarant. Internet wireless worked fiarly well and was only 35 real for a week (at least that's what were told and 50 for a month). Overall price slightly cheaper than similar properties. The bad:Check-in and any and all communications with the front desk is very frustrating as even the 'best' English speaking clerk barely spoke English. It took 5 times longer than it should to simply check-in. frustrating. First clerk tried to charge us again even though we were pre-paid via [...] (and charged by AmEx before we left the US). The 2nd clerk spoke better English and processed us through but it still took too long (considering the tons of hotels I've stayed in across the globe). The elevators required keycard to work and were very difficult to get in and out off when sporting wheeled luggage as there is a literally door you must open to get on/off the elevator. The rooms were ok. No irons for your use in the entire hotel. Laundy service must take your clothes if you want them pressed/ironed. The workout room is an a canopy off the pool area and open to the elements so you'll get a good sweat in during the day.The ugly:I was actually double-charged for 2 of the rooms and had to have charged cancelled because the clerk charged my card instead of just putting a hold for incidentals. The elevator only allows you to select YOUR floor and nobody else's so if you are traveling with 2 other people and all are on different floors then you must have someone from the front desk use their key card to select the floor for you. But you must wait for someone to become available to do this for you. Eventually, I did receive a 2nd keycard just to use in the elevator to get up to my colleagues room where we often worked when not at the office. I've never been a fan of Accor properties but this left me with such a negative impression from start to finish that the hordes of colleagues coming to support our new South American operations will NOT be staying at this hotel under my recommendations. Too bad

I came to stay for a business trip. They did not understand the Orbitz booking and were confused and did not know who should pay. Consequently it took far too long to check in.
