The hotel is located near the beach and had nice access to the boardwalk and restaurants. It is a nice affordable place. The buffet breakfast was nice as well.

The hotel is nice and clean, good size room with WIFI and cable internet. No restaurant on property and breakfeast is simple and the same dayly. A "grocery" store offers some drinks and snacks but is very tiny. Next to a little shopping mall and laundry. Also several restaurants are close. 2 minute walk to the beautiful beach (steep down!)

Excellent Location, Poor Rooms

I was there for couple of days end of February during a business trip. The location is unique, half way from the Punta Preta restaurants and the old city of Natal. The beach, the palms, the sand are amazing. It's simply a postcard location! The hotel is a bit old, the rooms need to be refurbished. They seems quite clean anyway.
The service is very good, people there is very friendly and try to help.
The meals are ok, nothing special.

I just arrived back from a week trip in Natal, a beautiful, calm, relaxing part of the world lined with tranquil beaches. Originally I booked the Villa Do Mar for the week, but I retracted my want for the stay there after arriving and seeing the hotel empty and under construction. Unfortunately the hotel on the beach went years without maintenance; elevators not working, cracks in walls, falling paint from walls. Reminded me a little too much of the beach version of the shining. My rate was $77 a day, but would have risen to $97 per day after WIFI charges, which I require. The front desk was not so welcoming, and realized quickly that I was not satisfied. They asked if I would prefer a better room on the semi finished side of the hotel after my requesting a credit.
The hotel has immense potential for being a pleasant resort to stay at in Natal. Its location is on the oceanfront, so no travel is required to relax in the sun on the beach. However, traveling a few miles to get to the main road where shops, restaurants and bars line the streets is required. I later booked at the Holiday Inn Express, nearby. Requires a short walk to the beach each day, but worth the exercise.
Villa Do Mar has great potential, but for now stay clear.

Apart-hotel in a great location on the Ponta Negra beach. With swimming pool, garden, 24 hrs security, parking, free Wi-Fi internet, tourist desk and reception to make your trip an unforgettable stay. Excellent flats fully equipped with air-conditioning, cable TV, kitchen with microwaves, shower with hot water, wireless internet for your laptop totally free, bed linen and towels, room service and laundry service, safety box at the administration. Optional and especial breakfast served in a basket that is carried to the room. Accommodations for couples, double and family (four people maximum). The larger rooms are like chalets with a wooden mezzanine with a double bed up and down a room with one or two single beds. They have all the rooms overlooking the pool and garden.

spending the weekend in Natal, very nice place to enjoy a couple of days, great food and at very cheap prices, the hotel was nice, but they need some improvements, the reservation saids a suite, but was a regular room, little small, but clean and comfortable.

Bra läge nära havet, bra standard på rummen.
Mycket fin frukostbuffé.
Dock pågår ombyggnad så hotellet blir ändå bättre!

Tulip Inn Potengi Flat, Natal,BR The hotel is in a good location. The hotel staff is exceptional. The suites are large, nicely decorated and very clean. The restaurant serve great and fresh foods. My girlfriend and I loved it and we would stay there again. We like the fact that the living room and bedroom are separate from each other. And man the large walk in shower was great.

The hotel is located in highest point of the city, with an wonderfull view of the sea. It offers 170 rooms all with balcony and sea view. The room are well equipped with kitchnette, high speed internet connection, individual safe, cable TV, air conditioning, work desk. Other hotels facilities are: Multilingual reception, 2 meeting rooms,with capacity to accomodate up to 230 people, business center, internacional restaurant, lounge bar, 24hs room service, same day laundry, swimmingpool, sauna and fitness center.

location was near the ocean, but not a beach location. near downdown, many shops etc. not a tourist location , which I liked. good price and good value. very large comfortable rooms. no wifi, but good cable internet in rooms
